"Amelia Zinac" The woman quickly responded. She said no more and instead turned around yet again towards the village.
"We'll leave in the morning, make it to the village tonight and rest well. I'll be waiting at 6:30 am outside the casino, meet me there" After saying this Amelia vanished from Neil's sight as quickly as she had appeared.
"The casino huh," Neil said to himself, he wasn't surprised by Amelia's exit, it was obvious to him it would take some time together before they talked to each other.
He decided not to dwell on it and instead started walking toward the scorpion he had killed earlier. He pulled the axe out of its body and stuck it into the ground nearby. With one hand he grabbed his pouch and with the other, he began to push the scorpion's corpse into the pouch.
From an outside view, it looked like what he was doing was quite impossible, but the bag swiftly swallowed up the corpse leaving nothing but the pools of blood that were underneath the scorpion.
He put the pouch back into one of his pockets and picked up the axe. He then turned around and resumed his long walk to the village.
After only 20 more minutes of walking he had made it into the village, and that was when he realized he had no money to stay at an inn for the night. Thinking quickly as it was now becoming dark he snuck into a back alley and pulled out the body of the young woman from his pouch. He preferred no one saw him doing this, as he didn't want to appear to be a murderer.
"Let's be quick now Neil, we don't wanna seem too weird," He said to himself as he pulled out the body.
He grabbed the two daggers that were in her lifeless hands and then swiftly re-opened the pouch to shove the body back into it. After that quick ordeal, he walked out of the alley holding the two daggers with the axe being held around his waist by his belt, looking admittedly a little dumb, but at the time it was the best he could do.
He got a few stares from people as they likely wondered what had just happened in the alley but he simply walked forward knowing staying would only make it worse.
Once in a more comfortable place, he held up the two daggers to his face.
"Analyze."

'Forgotten Gulch, that's quite far away, I wonder how they were brought here. Otherwise though there's not much special about them, I'll pawn them off for as much as I can.' After scanning the daggers Neil knew he would be able to sell them for a good price. and buy himself a room for the night and possibly some better clothes.
He began to head towards the trading hut within the town which served as a pawn shop, even though it was a completely different world they still had numerous buildings with a purpose similar to those of Earth. One could argue that was because of laziness from the creator of Archemia. But Neil was fine with this as he felt the game already had enough uniqueness to it, which had now been proven to him as he was living in it.
"Hey there traveler, are you selling or buying?" Neil heard the gruff voice from the front of the store immediately once he had entered the hut.
"Selling." Neil responded before even looking at the source of the voice, a few moments later he raised his head to see who he guessed to be the owner of the store.
An older man stood in front of him behind a counter that held an assortment of trinkets, bobbles, and equipment. The man himself had grey hair and a light grey stubble. He seemed to be a Myathean as well with his tan skin and the blue lines which decorated his body. He was old but held himself proudly and wore a kind but strong gaze.
"More than I thought" Neil mumbled to himself.
He was surprised to see another Myathean as the game made them seem rather rare, and yet he's already seen 3 of them in just his first day. Maybe he knew less about them then he had thought.
"Show me what you have" The man's voice interrupted Neil's thoughts bringing him back to reality. He placed the two daggers on the counter in front of him and the man began appraising them on his own way.
As he did so a thought came into Neil's mind.
'I could analyze each item in hear and pick all of the best ones.' When playing the game purchasing from the trading hut was a random gamble of chance. As little is known about the items and you only learned about them after purchasing them. It would normally function like this within Archemia as well, but due to Neil's eyes he could see every item within the hut and specifically buy what he felt was worth it. He would even know a rough estimate of the items monetary value and whether it was worth purchasing.
'This is going to be a long night!' Neil thought to himself, he would have to get a room after this.
He also still had yet to do a detailed inspection of the bodies in his pouch. After that he would have to see how his stats have increased after the level up. Then he would see whether there was any equipment for him to buy in the town stores. And now he wanted to scan all of the items of the trading hut and buy all of those worth it.
"It'll be worth it" He said to himself quietly, in an attempt to psych himself up for the long night ahead of him. This might appear pathetic to some doing these tasks wouldn't be draining but for someone like Neil he'd prefer to fight a legion of monsters before doing all of these tasks, especially with them requiring socialization. But he had decided that he wanted to form a strong party and beat the evils of this world so the chores would be a necessary for him.
"This is a nice pair of daggers you have here" The old mans voice brought Neil back to the task at hand.
"How much were you planning to sell them for?"
Just as Neil had expected the man allowed him to make the first move, in order to see how much Neil knew about the worth of the equipment.
"I think they're worth about 230 quoms" Neil responded to the man.
----------------------------------------------------------------
A quick intermission about the currency of Archemia. There are numerous currencies but one of the more common ones are quoms they act akin to the U.S. dollar or Chinese yen, for reference a single quom can buy you a loaf of bread, they are the currency for humans and the areas that neighbor human kingdoms within Archemia. Now back to the haggling.
------------------------------------------------------------------
"Ha, you must be kidding, how about 120 quoms, and I'm being generous." Retorted the old man.
Neil knew he wouldn't get the price he started with but he wanted to see the value the shop keeper was giving to them. He knew they were worth just about 200 quoms, but when pawning it was unlikely Neil would get even 80% of this.
"I'll go down to 190 quoms, how about that?" Neil had now responded with a new price.
"I have to make a profit off of these, the best I can do for you is 160 quoms" The man had now given what Neil believed to be the best offer he'd get.
"Deal" Neil slowly said, in an effort to make it seem like it hurt him to sell the item at such a low price.
The old man quickly gathered 160 quoms, which took the form of metal coins of different values. Neil slid the daggers all the way over to the man and took his money.
"It was nice doing business with you" Said the old man as Neil was heading towards the exit.
"You as well" responded Neil wearing a devious grin as he was very happy with the money he had gotten out of the daggers.
If he were to turn around he'd see that the old man was wearing a very similar grin, as it seemed he was also very happy with price he had gotten the daggers for.
"One down, three to go" He muttered to himself, as he exited the building and began searching for an inn. The town itself wasn't very large with three larger streets that held most of the commercial buildings and homes radiating outwards from these.
Neil purposefully chose an inn near the casino that he'd be meeting Amelia at, though it made it slightly more expensive he was alright with it. It cost 25 quoms to stay in a room for one night, so he had 135 left to do what he pleased with. But first he decided to wash up and look into himself some.
After a quick bath he now felt much cleaner and comfortable than he had for what had felt like a many days but was really less than one. He sat on the bed ad began to fully reflect on the situation he was in.
Even though it had been a day he really didn't focus much on what happened or why and instead just tried to move onward but now that he could take a break he found it was quite needed. He was slightly sad to be dead as he knew his parents would grieve which he wouldn't ever wish for. That being said he was overjoyed at his own luck at being brought into Archemia.
A new life after he had dumbly thrown away his prior one, he questioned if it was karma for him saving the women and her child that he was brough here but decided not to wonder on how he was transported, as he didn't want an existential crisis at the moment.
What he would now need to focus on was his current life, and finding a purpose within it. Neil lived for happiness in his last one which he didn't plan on stopping in this new life but instead he wanted a larger purpose.
'What is my end goal' He pondered.
"I think I'll take the plain answer for this one, I want to slay the great evil that plagues this world, though above that I want a family and numerous friends I can be happy with" He exclaimed to the empty room. Driven by his new purpose he tried to remember as much as he could about the world he was currently in and anything that would be beneficial to him.
First he would decide exactly where he and Amelia would be going.
'Currently we're at the bottom of the Great Blue Sands, below are the Cline and Dorn kingdoms both of which are human and quite safe. Above us lies roughly 2000 miles of the blue sandy desert up to the edge of the world, little purpose in exploring that. To the west is the Abyssal Sea and to the East are the rocky Krang Peaks which stretch for nearly 700 miles. Within these areas there are three of the five total artifacts that we would be able to acquire with some safety. The Crimson Cleaver of Vermêr, the Shining Quiver of Klexo, and the Midnight Bracer of Siech.'
Each of them come from one of the many gods of the world and have unique powers that relate to it. Luckily any of the three would be helpful to either Neil or Amelia, as the cleaver is an axe which would work with Neil's current play style and the other two are archer based artifacts.
Next was checking his own stats again after the level up.
"Analyze"
Quickly the expected window popped up in front of him.

'How wonderful" Neil thought to himself upon seeing his new reserve of mana that he had, furthermore he had three skill points that he could apply to whichever stat he wanted to. Something he would think on heavily throughout the night.
"And with that it's time to leave" Neil said to himself as he stood up from his bed and walked towards the door of his room.
It was finally time to buy some things.
