Akira's rage consumed him as he grappled with the overwhelming truths revealed by Aya. His voice echoed through the forest as he lashed out, questioning the purpose of his existence and his role in the grand scheme of things.
"So this isn't my life, all I've been doing all this time isn't my will," he shouted, frustration bubbling to the surface. "So after all this trash, there's nothing in it for me after all, huh? All you want me to do is be a pawn for your Spirit realm. Well, let me tell you, I am not a pawn, and I ain't becoming one now. Get me out of this tree!"
Renjiro stepped forward, trying to calm Akira's fury, but her attempt was met with an unexpected fist to her face. Akira's anger was palpable, and he reached into a small storage bag, pulling out a teleporter in a desperate bid to escape. However, the magic surrounding the tree proved stronger than technology, trapping him further.
Frustration boiling over, Akira unleashed a primal scream, releasing an unintentional sound wave from his mouth. The sheer power of the supersonic wave tore through the forest, destroying the space Aya had created and laying waste to the surrounding area. Students training in the manor felt the shockwave and were knocked out by its force.
Stunned by Akira's unexpected display of power, Aya addressed him with a mix of concern and warning. "You are free to go, but remember your actions may have some dire consequences," she cautioned.
Regret washed over Akira as he realized the magnitude of his actions. "I'm sorry, Aya," he said, humbled by the chaos he had caused, and kowtowed in apology.
But Aya had already transformed into the wind, communicating with Akira through its gentle whispers. She urged him to check for any casualties among the Beasts, as those with ranks from Low F to High B might not have survived the destructive supersonic wave.
Akira and Renjiro gathered Beast cores from the forest and were informed by Aya about the different Beast ranks. The cores applied not only to Beasts but also to spells, glyph cores, and weapons. Each rank was designated by a letter or a number, signifying its strength and capabilities.
Aya elucidated, "The ranks are I, F, E, D, C, B, A, S, X, and 0. Glyph cores have different colors representing their ranks:
0-rank: White
X-rank: Silver
S-rank: Gray
A-rank: Light green
B-rank: Dark green
C-rank: Light blue
D-rank: Dark blue
E-rank: Light red
F-rank: Dark red
I-rank: Black"
Aya further explained that I-rank beings couldn't harness glyph powers, and most of them were from the Novus realm. As for the F rank, they were only 5% stronger than I-rank beings, easily defeated by an I-rank being with technology. The ranks grew stronger as they progressed from E to B, with the B rank being nearly on the verge of ascendancy.
Realizing the significance of the information, Akira inspected the spoils they had gathered from the Beasts. He found a C-rank dagger, a B-rank sword, a C-rank chest piece, and a B-rank shield among their loot.
Renjiro claimed the dagger and chest piece, while Akira took the sword and shield, feeling the weight of his newfound knowledge.
Seeing their readiness, Aya declared, "Get ready. By tomorrow, we will be going to school."
As the night settled over the manor, Akira couldn't help but wonder what the school held for him and how he would face the challenges that lay ahead. The journey of self-discovery and growth had only just begun, and Akira steeled himself for the path that would define his destiny.
