As Elder had ordered his army to attack Elvandar, Eryndor had ordered the elves to defend themselves by bombarding the enemy with arrows laden with magic of all kinds.
"First salvo, unleashed!" shouted Eryndor to the hundreds of elves posted on the wall, "swoosh". Thousands of arrows flew towards the monsters below.
"Eek! Magic shield!" shouted many goblins, deploying hundreds of magic shields on the monster army, blocking all the magic arrows thrown by the elves.
"We are not as weak as before, we will exterminate them to the last one!" shouted one of the goblin generals followed by the others, "Grawwwwl! Gronk! It didn't take long for the army of monsters to run into the main gate of Elvandar.
"CRRAC" "CRACK!"
Eryndor, hearing the sound of the collision, sent the second volley of magic arrows to stop the monsters charging the capital gate.
Eryndor shouted "Second salvo, lâc-" before being interrupted by an elven warrior who told him the terrible news: the monsters had managed to infiltrate Elvandar with the help of the wild elven tribes. Eryndor was angry and immediately ordered Trynder, an old elf from the elven council, to take command on the home front where the monsters had managed to infiltrate Elvandar. She was furious that the wild elves had betrayed their race, giving the monsters access to a massacre.
Knowing that she could not be everywhere, she needed to send a council elf who could lead the elven troops on the ground. Tryndor, listening to the queen's orders, instantly left to join the elven troops, who found themselves attacked from behind, accompanied by a hundred elite elves.

"Attack! Save our comrades!" ordered Trynder, jumping directly into the fight with overwhelming agility.
"Yes!" shouted many elite elves who faithfully followed Trynder.
"CLINK" The sounds of swords being heard in every corner of the battle. Trynder cut off the heads of several monsters, pushed the monsters back and managed to split the battlefield in two with one side elves and the other side monsters.
Trynder stood in front of Gregs, the Orc commander, ready to confront him. Gregs was a massive orc with scars all over his face, followed by his armor that was covered in fresh blood, reminiscent of the pain he suffered from the elves when they exterminated all the monsters and drove the survivors of his tribe from his hometown.
"I am Trynder, elder elf of the elven council! You are in our territory, monster! Back off now or face our wrath!" shouted Trynder at the monsters.
"Gronk! HA! The elves are but a shadow of their former selves. You can do nothing against us! The elves have taken everything that was mine, my lands, my family, my life. I have lived in misery for years, while you elves have lived in opulence. Now it is my turn to take what is yours!" Gregs retorted angrily.
"What was yours? Misery? That's normal for monsters like you! A monster who has no civility and intelligence, who is not favoured by God, vile beings who should not exist!" replied Trynder with contempt.
"Oh yes, we monsters? Gronk! Who is the real monster here? You elves drove my people from their ancestral lands. You treated us like animals, stole our resources and our culture. Now it's our turn to teach you a lesson!
"Monstrosity! That's why we must exterminate you instinctual monsters! We elves, God's favorites, will not let monsters trample Elvandar!" insisted Trynder, determined.
"I'm not here to talk, gronk! I'm not leaving until I get what's yours! You arrogant elves, we'll teach you what it feels like to have your family killed and your home destroyed!
Gregs launched the first attack, swinging his magic club in the air before aiming it at Trynder. Trynder countered with a series of quick, precise movements, dodging Gregs' attacks while looking for an opening to strike back.
"BOOM!" came the sound of Gregs' club hitting the ground and just missing Trynder.
"SCHWING" cut Trynder off, sending Gregs tumbling to the ground.
Trynder took advantage of Gregs' moment of weakness to make a decisive attack, making his magic sword glow a dazzling green colour. " DIE!" Gregs desperately tried to parry, but it was too late: Trynder's sword came down hard on the club, shattering it into a thousand pieces. "BOOOM
"Gronk! You silly elf, that's why you're so naive!" Laughed the Orc despite the fact that he was about to die.
"What are you talking about, have you lost your mind, the moment you die?! Damn monster, this is your true place!" Just as Trynder went to finish Gregs off by slicing him in half.
"BOOOM" a shrill noise was heard throughout Elvandar.
"What?!" shouted Tryders as he was lost in the noise and the main door of Elvandar falling.
**********************
Elder, seeing the front line continue, came with a titanic sword strike on the great gate of the capital, cutting it off, "Sword Explosion! Several monsters immediately entered as the door opened, "Grawwl!
"SWIIIICH" The monsters' heads flew off their respective bodies, the heads rolling to the ground. Elder saw this and stared at the figure that stood out of the smoke, pointing to Eryndor who held majestically a sword colored with magic of all kinds, fire, wind, earth, air followed by the other elves of the elven council as well as the 4000 mobilized elven warriors who appeared as the smoke disappeared, to prevent the monsters from coming through the door and sacking Elvandar.
"Go back to where you came from, go through that door and you will die!" warned Eryndor dangerously as he pointed his sword at Elder who was becoming more and more dangerous.
Elder gasped, "Hmpf! Back to where I came from? It doesn't exist anymore, you destroyed it! We will not return after all this way, we will avenge your arrogance with your destruction!" said Elder as he ran towards Eryndor, starting the biggest battle of monsters and Elves ever known.
"Hmpf, that's an irrational choice, you had it coming!" shouted Eryndor as he jumped towards Elder.
"CLINK!"
"CLINK! CLINK!"
Many clashes between the swords were heard, despite Elder's power, he could not resist for long to Eryndor's agility and strength that surpassed him in every way.
"Surrender, now! This is my last warning, if you still want to live!" threatened Eryndor to Elder and the generals behind him and his army, hoping that they would surrender without more unnecessary deaths.
"That's why you're so stupid!" replied Elder, as well as the monsters who were throwing unknown objects ejecting gas at the elven warriors. Eryndor, alarmed by her fighting instincts, ordered her army to retreat, "Watch out! This gas is dangerous, get back! But it was too late, many elves inhaled the smoke, a few seconds later groans could be heard all over the battlefield, some elves were paralyzed as the monsters advanced to kill them, totally unaware of the smoke surrounding them, perhaps immune thanks to an antidote.
"ARGHH!!!"
"HELP!!!"
"HELP ME! MUM I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Shouted many soldiers on the battlefield as the monsters mass murdered all the elves in sight, Eryndor seeing this, thought quickly and ordered the elves to retreat back into the city.
"Retreat! Regroup in the city!" Eryndor ordered, followed by the elves of the council who ordered their battalion to retreat, unfortunately this was a hard blow for the elves, out of the 4,000 elven warriors and the 8 elves of the council, 2,500 elven warriors died and 5 elven elders of the elven council died too.
Eryndor and the rest of the survivors joined Trynder who was returning after killing Greg in front of the elven palace that plagued all of Elvandar, the last line of defense where the majority of the non-combatant elven inhabitants were sheltering.
"Hiiiiii... Snif...huuuhhh...hiiii..." sobbed many children in the queen's palace.
"Mommy, I'm scared!" shouted an elf child to his mother.
"It's all right, we're not going to die, the queen will find a way to win as always," the mother comforted her child by hugging him, but it didn't show on the mother's face, which was tense from the direction of the battle.
Many elves took refuge in the queen's palace and prayed to the elven goddess to help them through this time of pain.
"Mother, help us... Save your children who are begging for you!" begged many of the goddess' followers. As the goddess they were praying to looked over the current battle, taking in the many prayers of her followers with a small smile.

"You can't back down now, Queen of Elfheim, come out of your cave, it's only a matter of time before you die!" Elder shouted, blocking the elves' escape routes with his army stationed in front of the palace gates, blocking any possible escape.
Eryndor and the surviving elven councils all stood before the queen in the palace, listening to the desperate cries of the elves in the palace halls.
The queen was calm, but her eyes reflected fear and worry. She could not foresee that the monsters would use such a destructive weapon and she knew that the elves could not hold out for long in the palace against Elder's monster army.
"We must stand our ground," she said to Trynder and the other ancient elves. "We cannot run away and leave our people to their fate.
The elder elves on the council nodded. "We need a plan, Queen. We can't just sit here and wait to die and let these filthy monsters rape our women and destroy Elvandar," Trynder told the queen.
"Shouldn't we make a diversion and let the people sneak away and lead them to a city in the kingdom?" said a council elf.
"No, there could be a possibility of a betrayal, we can't trust any other city lord than us" answered another senior elf.
"What should we do then?" asked Eronh, another council elf.
"The queen thought for a moment, then turned to them. "I think I should talk to Elder and ask him for a duel. It's the only way out of this, if we want to have any chance of getting out of this, he won't refuse," the queen said, resigned to her fate.
"This is madness my queen, you must not risk your life! If you die, it's the end of Elfheim!" cried Eronh, an old elf from the elf council and one of Eryndor's only friends, with concern.
"We have no choice," insisted the queen. "We must try, it will not be easy, I know that, Elder is a formidable opponent."
"If you weren't infected with that poison gas, you could have killed him with one swing of your sword!" shouted an angry Elder elf.
The elves of the elven council nodded, they knew that if Eryndor was not affected by this poison, no one could stand up to him for more than 30 seconds. Eryndor was ready to face this risky choice, she was determined. She walked towards the palace door, ready to bet her fate and that of her people, in front of everyone.
"This is starting to get interesting," said an unfamiliar and enchanting voice, two silhouettes could be seen if one paid attention, but everyone at that moment was focused on the battle ahead, except for one person, Elwynn, who was staring intently at the blurry silhouettes.
