Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 : The Return of Peace to Elvandar

Elder was surprised by Lewynn's spontaneous strength, unable to resist and react to Lewynn's speed and super-power, and found himself propelled beyond the fighting arena. The monsters and elves watching the fight were amazed to see Lewynn display such strength at such a young age.

Was she hiding her true strength?" said Eryndor thoughtfully, but she shook her head and said that was impossible or she would have done it already, "so where did this spontaneous extra strength come from?

"Amazing!" exclaimed Edmund, clapping as he was invisible to the world. He knew Nishley was a skilled fighter from the martial arts classes he'd taken at the club, but seeing her skills put into practice was another thing entirely.

Meanwhile, the elves were becoming increasingly confused. They didn't know what was going on and watched in disbelief. Then Elder sat back down, still in shock from being thrown out of the small arena by a small elf.

"Damn it!"Elder grumbled as he was out of breath and struggling against Lewynn who had suddenly healed from his injuries and fatigue. But suddenly something surprising happened.

Lewynn, controlled by Nishley, the goddess of the elves and goddess of the heavens and stars, suddenly invoked the power of faith, but this time in a different way to Edmund's invocation of faith in Humec. The power of faith, which is a creator's main source of energy, manifests itself in the form of divine light, which is the raw form and energy of origin, but the actual energy shown by Nishley was totally different

So Nishley invoked his power of faith, then converted it into an element of wind which became an element of divine wind, of a brighter colour giving a power far exceeding the magic power of the queen. Elder immediately saw a large amount of mana building up towards Lewynn, and ran towards Lewynn as fast as he could and threw a strike.

"Explosive Strike!"

BOOM!

Unfortunately for Elder, Lewynn had no scratches on his body, nor any dust.

"No way! How?" shouted Elder as he tried to back away, but Lewynn grabbed him by the arm and threw a mana-laden blast of divine wind that pierced his armor like paper before pulling back his hold on Elder, who fell to the ground.

"BURGHH!" spat Elder, blood pouring from his mouth as he fell, but it wasn't the stabbing that was hardest on him, it was the fact that Elwynn reflected some sort of divine aura all over his body as well as a mysterious look in his eyes that became affected by a heterochromia of purple and yellow colours, as if it was no longer the same person standing before him.

"Who are you!" shouted Elder, staring hatefully at Lewynn, who pointed at Elder, still standing in front of him with his sword pointed at him, a small smile on his face.

Elder knew immediately that it was not Elwynn who had defeated him but someone else, he had been tricked.

Of course, it was Elder's belief that the elves had already planned this move, not Nishley's intervention.

"You have lost, Elder," she said in a calm, soothing voice as everyone looked on, "keep your promise and leave this realm at last if you don't want me to slaughter all your companions?", with a playful smile that would make anyone hit him until he disappeared.

Elder, despite his defeat, could not help but feel a strong anger towards Lewynn, or rather towards the person who was hiding behind that body. But he knew he was a man of honour and had to keep his word, so he slowly got to his feet while compressing the bleeding wound and staring at the young elf.

"Very well, I will leave. But know that I will be back. And next time, there will be no next time," Elder announced, pursing his lips and wiping the blood from them.

Lewynn, under the influence of Nishley, said nothing and remained calm. But there was a glint in her eyes that showed she was not as nice as she looked, showing a kind of hostility that only Elder could feel from her point of view.

Elder, knowing there was nothing more he could do turned and started walking towards the exit of the city along with the remnants of the monsters who sent looks of hostility to the elves and wanted to kill them all but were told by the army generals to leave quietly.

Meanwhile, Edmund came out of his invisible hiding place and approached Nishley/Lewynn.

"I'm very impressed, Nishley." he said with a smile, continuing to communicate in spirit 'I knew you were strong, but I didn't expect this much.'

Nishley smiled back at him, 'Thank you,' 'I have to admit, I had fun. But I need to get back to my goddess duties now."

Edmund nodded, looking at the little elves who were looking at them dumbfounded. 'Well, well. How are we going to solve this?' he thought with a smile.

********************************

Who are they?' Nishley, the goddess of the elves? Did the man mention the little elf as our goddess? Is she an incarnation of our goddess? It all makes sense. It didn't take long for the queen to tear apart all the inexplicable holes in the current duel.

Eryndor, who had finished analyzing the characters, slowly approached Nishley and Edmond, greeting them respectfully before asking the question.

"Excuse me for disturbing you, Goddess, but I need to verify some information. Is it true that you are the goddess Nishley, the goddess of legends and... the one who gave me the oracle?" She asked nervously.

Nishley smiled softly before answering, "Yes, it is true. I am Nishley, your goddess and the one who gave you an oracle, to build civilization for your people.

"I saw my people decimated by monsters, I felt a deep sadness for the many deaths that occurred in that battle, that is why I came through Lewynn, my first apostle to the mortal world, to bring you help.

Eryndor was amazed, to meet the one who allowed Eryndor to be the first elf to create the very first kingdom of her race. But another feeling came from Eryndor. "So... Why didn't you intervene earlier in the battle, if you can help us!" cried Eryndor in a sad, tear-stained tone.

Nishley understood the pain in Eryndor's heart and approached her gently, taking her in his arms, giving a unique feeling of seeing a 100 year old elf comforting an 800 year old elf.

"I know you have suffered the loss of your elven brothers and sisters, Eryndor, but there are laws and rules that govern my intervention in the mortal world. I cannot do as I please, for it might upset the balance between gods and mortals," Nishley explained in a calm, soothing voice to Eryndor, who had become like a small child in his mother's arms.

"Besides, the gods cannot intervene in all mortal battles, for that must be won by their own strength and bravery. But I am here now, to help, to guide and to support you in your quest to build a strong and prosperous civilisation," she added with conviction.

Eryndor, reeling from his status under the gaze of the elves, understood the goddess' words and nodded in approval. "I thank you for your help, Goddess Nishley. I will do everything in my power to build a prosperous kingdom for our people and to honor you as our goddess," she said, bowing her head respectfully, followed by all the elves and elven councils watching the scene to their goddess.

Nishley smiled and pulled Eryndor from her arms. "I know that you, the proud and strong elven race, will be able to rebuild again under the sacrifices of your sisters and brothers. I will always be with you to guide and support you in the right path, and to protect my people," Nishley replied with a voice filled with confidence and persuasion.

"Thank you, much goddess!" replied Eryndor, bowing several times.

"So. Who is the person to the left of you...?" asked Eryndor in confusion, that the person who was there at the beginning had silently disappeared without anyone knowing.

Edmund watched the scene with admiration and respect for Nishley who managed to bamboozle the elves and fiercely position herself as a goddess among the elves. "Now in the centuries to come, there will be no more atheists, there will only be believers among the elves," Edmund spoke into the void with a smile.

******************************

After the bloody battle that ravaged Elvandar and the small villages in Elfheim. The reconstruction of Elfheim has begun. The elves worked hard to rebuild their city, especially Elvandar under the jurisdiction of Lewynn, the first apostle of Nishley, who led the rebuilding of the capital with the help of Nishley. Eryndor took a less active position, letting Lewynn take the lead in the reconstruction.

Years passed and Elvandar was rebuilt into a city bigger and more beautiful than ever. The elves gradually established a law allowing the monsters of Elfheim more freedom in order to calm the hostilities. Despite Eryndor's attempts at peace, Elder disappeared with his army somewhere out of sight.

Eryndor had chosen to leave her position as Queen of the Elves to marry Eronh, who also left her position as an elf on the elven council to go with Eryndor to a quiet place, far from politics, living in peace in the wilderness, hidden from everyone, in happiness and tranquility until their natural deaths.

Meanwhile, under Nishley's leadership, Lewynn was crowned Queen of Elfheim and the kingdom prospered. Lewynn maintained peace and stability, and allowed the elves to prosper. She also continued to spread the word and teachings of Nishley, helping the elves to stay connected to their goddess and building temples in every corner of the kingdom.

Eventually, Lewynn retired and passed the torch to a new leader who would become the next chosen saint and queen among the elves. Lewynn later died of old age, causing a wave of sadness among those who had followed her throughout the rebuilding of the kingdom. She was finally buried in the World Tree, which symbolically became a place of refuge for the souls of the dead. Thus, with the events recorded and the peace maintained, the elves continued to prosper under the protection of Nishley, their goddess.

At the same time, hidden in the depths of the royal library, in a book recounting the events plunged into the dust, the appearance of a man at the side of Nishley, their goddess, still totally unknown today.
