Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 :The real purpose of the system

4. I am always in front of you, but you can never see me. You can feel me but I am intangible. Who am I?

This question is similar to that of the enigma of time. It is present everywhere but difficult to perceive. So it must be a concept and not something that has a physical appearance...I think it could be "Air" but it is not a concept but rather a gas, although you can't see it with the naked eye, and you can feel it must be something else.

A concept... thought out, everything must be logical. If we start from the beginning, the first answers of the riddles in order would be: baby, time, youth. So logically what could follow that is a concept? What if it's a metaphor? It's always ahead of us, so it could mean the future? But, yes of course! "The future!"

The fourth riddle was successful. "Future"

Next and last riddle in progress.

It is an abstract concept that means ahead of us, the future, the anticipation.

5. "I am the essence of the universe, the creator of all that is known and unknown. My realm extends far beyond the boundaries of your mortal world, beyond the stars and galaxies. I am the force that gave birth to all life in the universe, the consciousness that animates all creatures, from the smallest particle to the most advanced beings.

My purpose is to maintain the harmony of the universe, to ensure that every living being can fulfil its potential and find its place in the natural order of things. My purpose is to guide wandering souls towards the light, to help them free themselves from suffering and fear, so that they can reach their true destiny.

My power is infinite, but I am not a dictator, for I have given each being free will, the ability to choose their own path. However, I am always present to guide those who seek truth and wisdom, to help them understand their place in the universe and their relationship with me. Who am I?"

It is...God

Fifth riddle passed. "God"

You have completed the riddles perfectly.

The reward of 5,000 PCs will be awarded to you.

Additional reward: Meeting with one of the Original Gods.

Finally, it was easier than I imagined, with 5000 PCs I could really start building my real 'world'. But what is the extra reward? A meeting with the Original God? Ah... Shit, I'm about to pass out. What the hell is wrong with that?

********************************

"You've come back, Edmund! Were you quick enough with that divine enigma?" said Mrs Birdus.

"Yes?" I replied with confusion.

Error. Insufficient authorization, correction by memory restriction. Retrieve your sealed memories by increasing your conquests in the star field.

"Is something wrong, Edmund? You seem to be staring into space," she asked me worriedly. But rather than listening to Mrs Birdus' worried words, my brain was more preoccupied with what I saw in the translucent window before my eyes. I have a headache... What did I do before I left the game? Ah, yes, that's right, I got my 5000 PC rewards and... An encounter with an original God... My memories are sealed? So why did I meet him if I don't remember anything? Also, what is the star field? I'm going to go crazy.

Mrs. Birdus, at the end of the presentation I heard the creators talking about the "Original God". What is that?" I said this as if I were asking a random question.

"That's a good question, I suspected you would ask it at some point." So why didn't you mention it in the first place? "You know this system works in a unique way?" she said as we walked to a restaurant.

"A unique way?" I replied, frowning.

"Yes, a unique way. In truth, we have a specific purpose as creators, especially in times of war. As creators, we are a kind of pawn. The original creators are a group of people, especially the powerful ones. At the moment, we creators are at war with the destroyers, an enemy camp of ours. Our main goal is to create worlds to be used in the war, but the system makes us fight against each other, so that the best ones stay. So, it is as if the system checks every month if a world created by a creator is too weak, as a result that creator will be directly eliminated and immediately replaced by another one, as it was the case for your predecessor" she said while sitting on a table.

"Let's sit down and order some food. At the same time, some explanations", she said with a bewitching smile. A few moments later, a waiter appeared, took our orders and left.

"As you must know, although there are battles between creators, there are always players who are off limits, especially those with red aliases." You think actually Why doesn't the system delete them directly to prevent them from killing other creators? Right?" she said, pointing her knife at me. "Indeed..."

"Well, that's on purpose. The Original Gods know that for a person to become strong, they must be under tension, so they force those who are too passive to be active if they don't want to die. Everything is done to make the creators powerful.

"But it's not just that, is it?" I asked.

"Yes, apart from that, there are other ways in which the creator can gain power but experience. Through the wilderness removal quests, the quests allow those who wish to attack native worlds, as you know, when a creator loses a fight, he dies and disappears but not his world. Abandoned worlds are thrown directly into the star field, which is a threat if some people don't clean them up daily, plus the original Gods can't move just to destroy a few abandoned planets, they mostly guard the borders of the star field boundaries so our enemies can't get in contact with us. So to counter this, different actions have been put in place, notably the setting up of official guilds that suggest worlds to attack according to the level of each person who shows up.

"And how do I get there?" I said, taking a bite of my steak.

"Don't be impatient, if you want to go, you'll have to resist the first invasion of your world first," she warned me, "So don't die, okay? I wouldn't want you to disappear after all that!" she laughed.

"I will not die. It's impossible for me to die, don't worry," I said confidently. Of course, if my idea worked, I would become almost invincible.

"Well, thank you for the welcome and the visit Mrs. Birdus," I said as I finished my plate and got up from my chair. "It was very good, I'll be back."

"You want to leave already? I haven't even introduced you to my friends and other games," she said with a sad look.

"Understand me, I'm going to face an invasion soon so I have to prepare my world to defend against the enemy," I said persuasively. Counting the time I started my world and my time here, I should have three and a half weeks left.

"Ok, I see. That's how it is then. Have you made your choice? Do you want to join our guild?" she asked me hesitantly.

"I'll think about it after I get through my invasion," I said as another portal opened and Nishley came out.

"So, let's go Nishley. See you later Mrs. Birdus!" I say.

*****************

A portal appeared in the residence, as Azgrom was sitting on a sofa watching television, Nishley came out followed by Edmond.

"Oh! How are you, kid? Was that meeting fun?" he said, still watching television. At the same time, Nishley joined her in the next room. Maybe they were watching a movie while I was away.

"It was good, I discovered and understood many things. How is it going with the dwarves? Has it evolved?" I asked Azgrom.

"Perfectly! I started to teach the dwarf different fighting and production techniques. He said confidently, "Oh, so I'll take a look," at the same time a hologram appeared with images of the various dwarf kingdoms that were once dwarf cities.

"How long was the world in my absence?" I asked Nishley,

"The world has been spinning for 850 years in your absence, including a lot of things that have happened. The elves and humans have crossed paths, there are wars going on right now, and it's not long before the dwarves get to build a ship to join the other two races," she said as she gave me the world news.

"I see. Has there been much death in the war between the elves and the humans?" I asked Nishley, it wouldn't do me any good if the population of both races dropped drastically.

"No, not really. I ordered through the Holy One currently in the elven realm, to adopt a defensive strategy against the invasion of the humans. Since you were away, the human empires couldn't hold back their greed so they're trying to enslave the elves but for now the elves are holding their own, despite their numerical inferiority." She said as she watched the television. Where did that television come from in my room anyway?

Hm.. It's rather unfortunate, if this pointless war continues. "Nishley, we will intervene in the world to stabilize the current conflicts" I ordered Nishley shaking my head, I guess I still have to work today huh.
