In a white room, Nishley and I were walking in the void, with no particular goal in mind. The surroundings were pale, there was no horizon, just a white void surrounding us.
I didn't really have the strength to say it, or describe it, but I wanted to ask him a question, "Nishley, how are you?"
All those years apart had brought back memories, and although he wasn't a crybaby, it had left its mark on him. It was one of the reasons he had become such a nerd.
Nishley smiled back, "I'm fine, more than fine anyway!" she said, "Rather than that, isn't it great to have become a god?!"
"Yes," I replied.
Nishley turned and looked at him, "You've become a god and I've become your assistant," she said wistfully.
Edmond nodded quietly as he continued to walk, he would never have believed in his life that he was going to become a god and even for Nishley who was going to accompany him all his life. The two friends had become inseparable in this life.
But Edmond couldn't be completely happy, he knew the truth behind Nishley and that was what had been tormenting him earlier.
Nishley, who was looking at her sideways, knew what he was thinking, and said, "I'm not the Nishley you know," she said, dropping a bombshell that caught Edmond's attention. She continued speaking, paying no attention to his expression, "I'm still on Earth. Well, let's say my original clone is still alive in your world."
Edmond listened to her and nodded, understanding the implication. He knew that the person next to him was just a pale copy of the person he knew, but that was enough. As long as he could have a likeness of his friend, he was fine with it.
He took Nishley in his arms and whispered his words, "It's ok."
Nishley, who was surprised, calmed down and returned the hug, smiling happily, "Thank you.."
Edmund, who was a little embarrassed after this short emotional session, coughed. "Mmm-hmm."
"If you don't count the fact that you're human, you must have some sort of laws governing you, right? After all, as a video game developer, you probably wouldn't be that free," I said.
Nishley nodded, confirming her words. She wasn't free with her words, or her movements. She explained that she had rules to respect, which I would find out about as time went by.
I nodded, realising that she couldn't tell me any more than that; after all, her information was private. I wasn't that stupid to attack my friend just because she didn't want to tell me information that was useless at my current level.
Nishley took me in his arms again to kiss me, it had started to bother me by suffocating in his arms but I accepted it quickly.
A moment later, Edmond was lost in the actions he had to take. There was nothing to do but walk around aimlessly.
Nishley began to explain the basics of his actions. "At the beginning of your reincarnation, you must create a companion, which at this very moment is me. After that, you have to create your origin, which is your residence, in order to build a sort of main dwelling," she said.
I nodded quickly and opened the status window.
Return to the origin:
Build the origin [FREE]
The origin is an area of residence for the creator and his companions, it is under the jurisdiction of the creator and cannot be altered, destroyed, transformed without the creator's permission.
As Nishley had indicated, the status window explained the role and operation of an origin. It was a sort of Checkpoint for him and Nishley.
Please imagine your origin.
The state window had asked him to imagine a residence, the problem being that he didn't really have any inspiration. After a few long minutes, Nishley finally advised her to try building a residence based on my house.
Unfortunately for her, she couldn't have known it, but for someone like me, a nerd, my room isn't really conducive to life. But Nishley, insisting on it, eventually convinced me, making me regret showing her something so vile.
Creation of the origin according to the current database... OK
Reconstruction according to the database... OK
The status window that was loading the data for my house finally disappeared and the environment suddenly shattered, giving way to a space filled with blackness and darkness.
Edmond, who didn't understand what was happening, was suddenly surprised by the door that had just appeared in front of him. He thought it was the door to his house, because his house number was stuck on it.
Nishley quickly opened the door and stepped inside, leaving Edmond perplexed and unable to react. She entered and a few seconds later, she stood still, seeing the mess inside his flat.
"My good impression is over..." he thought, weeping inwardly.
She turned and looked him in the eye with pity, further destroying Edmond's self-esteem, but to his surprise, Nishley snapped her fingers and all the rubbish had disappeared from the room, leaving a clean and tidy room.
Edmond was stunned and asked, "How?" Nishley smiled and replied, "All you have to do is snap your fingers like Thanos, right?
Edmond, who had heard this, burst out laughing but nodded. After all, he had just realised that he was a god, so it was only natural that he should have the power to make anything he wanted disappear.
In the corner of the room was a bed, and Nishley had seen it and quickly placed his heart on the sheet. "Yahouu..-Ahh... It's so comfy." she cried, screaming into the pillow and ruffling the hair on my mattress.
Lishley began sniffing her bed, sniffing her scent, "Snifff...".
"Are you a dog?" thought Edmund. It sounded so violent, but it described the monstrous scene unfolding before his eyes. He sighed and sat down in his desk chair, ignoring Nishley who was struggling on his bed.
Nishley, who was busy enjoying his bed, said suddenly: "Edmund, I'm going to sleep, so I'll leave you to personalise your world. If you have any questions, just ask me, okay?" she said before drifting off to sleep.
Edmond nodded and opened his status window, which presented him with a number of options.
World Designer :
1 world : [FREE]
2 world: [FREE]
3.. [FREE]
4.. [LOCK]
A status window appeared in front of him, showing the worlds he currently had access to. I didn't really understand which one to choose, so I picked the first one that appeared on the short list. After all, there really wasn't much choice anyway.
The designer has selected the 1st world. Please wait.
The system loves to keep us waiting, I thought.
1st World: Customisation [5,000 PCs Available].
Planet name: [?]
Size : [?]
Race : [?]
System : [?]
A new status window opened after my choice, a list showing me in summary the information of world had been informed to me. I had a total of 5,000 PCs in my possession, which was undoubtedly the system currency (Creator Points) to be used for the various purchases made below.
Planet: The planet is a celestial body that harbours life so space is essential for the environment and species to live properly. A planet that is too small could harm and reduce the world's ecosystem and impact on the number of resources in the world. 100 km = 30 PC
Anyway, I had to start choosing the size of my world first, but it wasn't a good case to solve. After all, the size of the Earth defined the type of environment people lived in. A planet that was too big would cost too much PC and give the races a hard time, but if the world was too small, there would be less biodiversity and less space to live in.
In any case, I had to find a happy medium and I had a good idea to fall back on. A planet I knew fairly well, which was definitely Earth. After all, the Earth is big enough to live on and support biodiversity. 12,000 km is a pretty reasonable choice when you think about the price.
Available race: [1 400PC]
Human : [100 PC] Human: [100 CP] The human is a being that does not possess any unusual characteristics but has an unusual versatility that can make up for its disadvantage against other races.
Elf : [300 PC] The elf is a race specialised in magic, endowed with characteristics such as agility, wisdom and a long lifespan allowing it to obtain advantages over its competitors but has a low reproductive capacity due to their long lifespan.
Orc : [250 PC] The orc is a race specialised in combat, it possesses the characteristics of berserk as well as an instinct of combat out of combat as well as a physique which accompanies it of a superhuman force.
Dwarf : [ 300 PC ] The dwarf is generally a support race, liking alcohol a lot. They specialize in weapon making as well as alcohol making. They generally live out of contact with other races due to their often dangerous habitats.
Beast Man: [150 CP] The Beast Man is a humanoid that possesses the qualities of both a human and a beast. The beast's abilities vary depending on the animal that characterizes it, such as wolves, bears, and rabbits.
Vampire: [600 CP] The vampire is a humanoid that lives hidden in human society, a blood drinker that can take on the appearance of humans and live in harmony with them. Vampires can have stronger powers depending on the quality and quantity of blood they drink.
I now had a list of races from which I could choose to live on my planet, and the choice wasn't an easy one either, as I had no other reference than humans on my planet.
What's more, I'd noticed that humans were the cheapest, so I didn't know whether to choose between being happy that I didn't have to spend so much money or being angry at the system for having put such a low price on my race.
In the end I chose the neutral reaction.
In any case, I've already chosen the main races for my world at the expense of my PCs, after all at the moment I couldn't buy many races but in the future I won't hesitate to buy some. The more diversity there is, the stronger the races are.
Race name :Human
Wisdom : 5
Strength : 15
Agility : 10
Lifetime : 80
Reproduction : High
Racial Ability : -Adaptability
Race name :Elf
Wisdom : 50
Strength : 25
Agility : 40
Lifetime : 800
Reproduction : Low
Racial ability :-Increased agility -Increased Sight -Increased magic
Race name :Dwarf
Wisdom : 30
Strength : 50
Agility : 25
Lifetime : 300
Reproduction : Medium
Racial capability :-Strong Heat Resistance -Increased life span -Increased dexterity
In the end three races were chosen to be the protagonists of my world, it wasn't an easy choice but it's an optimised choice for a good start, in my opinion. I turned to Nishley but she was still asleep, so maybe it wasn't such a bad idea.
System :
Technology [50 PC]: Technology is the use of computers, satellites and other technology. It allows the civilisation to rise through machines to new discoveries
Magic: [200 CP]: The magic system is the use of mana, mana is present throughout the planet, it is presented in the real world by the appearance of the elements of nature: fire, air, earth, wind and other elements as unique as they are rare.
Chakra: [600 CP] Chakra is the use of energy centres in the body, used mainly for professions such as ninjas or assassins. It specializes in combat. It allows the user to be able to perform more advanced elemental techniques than other systems such as magic.
Ki: [400 CP] Ki is the use of the vital energy that circulates throughout the universe and also present in the human body. The system is based on martial arts so 'Ki' refers to the internal energy through different cultivation techniques.
Superpower: [400 CP] A superpower is an extraordinary ability or skill that allows a person to obtain superhuman abilities contrary to human capabilities.
A list of systems appeared before my eyes, and various systems began to catch my eye, especially magic and ki, but I didn't think I'd be able to buy at least that, so I had to choose carefully. But something intrigued me and it was the word in brackets that described "Error?"
Is this a system bug? However, I only had enough PCs for magic and technology, so I had no other choice. I quickly chose my world systems and, hoping that technology was indeed a choice, I began to pray ironically. Finally, it had been accepted easily, I sighed.
I finished almost all the options, and all that was left was the name of the planet, I needed a name that could designate a strong planet and I only had one in mind. Earth... that's a good idea for a name but I was hoping it wouldn't be plagiarised and that I wouldn't be sent to the copyright police, haha he thought.
1st world : Customisation [450PC Available]
Planet name : Earth
Size : 12 000 km [3 600 PC]
Race : Human, Elf, Dwarf [700 PC]
System : Technology, Magic [ 250 PC]
The options have finally all been filled, which is a good thing.
Checking the planet...
Size... Ok
Present race... Ok
System in place... Ok
Creation of the first world completed.
Just as I had finished creating my first world, a voice whispered in his ear, "Marvellous Edmond, you've finished creating your world, now get out of your house!"
Edmond felt a chill and turned around in fright, "You scared me! Since when have you been awake?" he said, his eyes still wide with panic.
"Ha ha... ! " Nishley laughed heartily, enjoying teasing Edmond.
She said, "Since the status window alerted him that you'd finished creating your world," she said in a petty tone, "Did you really think I was going to let you build your world without me watching you?
Edmond scratched his hair, "A little, yes," he said.
Nishley smiled, and pushed Edmond out of the residence, declaring, "Anyway, you need to get out!" she said as she walked towards the exit. She opened the door and threw Edmond out, following closely behind. And to what he expected to be a void, a huge planet appeared out of nowhere below him, showing an entirely blue planet.
"Isn't it beautiful?" she said, and Edmond nodded, confirming her words.
Nishley sat down and announced, "This is your first world, the world will be supervised by you as a god, so be careful what you do, every action has consequences" she said seriously, Edmond listened seriously.
"The world is autonomous and can be expanded rapidly with a state window, do you understand?" she said.
Edmond nodded and brought up the status window in front of him.
Computer screen: [Real time: 2 hours in the origin corresponds to 250 years in the world] [450 PC]
Major Events :
The basic time setting was 24h/24h but I shortened it by basing it on 2h/250 years of the original time, which is equivalent to 250 years on the planet at 2h in his home. He wanted his world to be sufficiently developed so that the next day they could see his world more developed than at present, when no species had developed a strong enough culture.
Edmond was finally able to relax after having finished setting all the parameters, and could now sleep peacefully with Nishley on his bed.
