Cassandra ran as fast as she could, she knew would be done for if her dad gets home before her. She had lied to her brother that she was going to church for rehearsals, but she never intend to stay long at Erica's place but when she got there Erica was with her friends so she had to stay back and chill with the girls without being conscious of time now she had to get home before her dad gets back.

She had just left Erica's Estate gate and was heading to the bus terminal in order to get a bus heading to her route when she spotted her dad's black Lamborghini Urus sped past her. She hasten up her steps as she ran to the terminal... Even though the driver insisted on the driver insisted on filling all the unoccupied seats with passengers before beginning the ride. It was quite frustrating that literally all the seats were empty, luck wasn't on her side on this day. She had to pay the driver for all the seats so that she can get home on time.

"Is dad home?" She asked as she barged into the kitchen panting heavily. Boody was her immediate elder brother and one of the most annoying siblings she had. He was sitting on a kitchen stool while blending some milkshakes while Steve was standing and chopping some veggies.

"Hmm, why do you ask. I guess you've lied about your movements again right? I pray dad caught you wherever you went to". Boody replied as he abandoned the veggies he was chopping just so he could start up a fight again as usual.

"I never asked you". Cassandra said as she shot a hard glare at him then hissed before going over to meet steve who was already done with the veggies by then. She quietly removed his air pods from his ears then hugged him from the back.

"I'm back bro, good evening". She said still holding his waist.

"Eww, that's disgusting. So cheap, you better come over here and help with the chores". Boody said on seeing the two like that.

"Boobs back to your chores, hey little sis how was your day? Steve answered as he turn around to look at her.

"It was good, Is dad back?" She asked anxiously as she removed her hands from around his waist in order for her to clean off the sweat that was on her face and nearly got her dress wet.

"Nope". He answered shortly then he turned to boody

"Boobs, finish this up". He said before turning to cassandra "Come with me". He said and was heading to the door when boody broke down in tears.

"Please no, let cassy help. I can't finish up all these. Boody started crying fake tears while Steve and Cassandra hissed then walked out.

"Where are you coming from madam?" Steve asked immediately they entered the room.

"I was at Sandra's place". She replied as she jumped on top of the bed.

"I think I'm actually spoiling you and you know it". Steve who was already on the couch replied.

"Geez... stop praising yourself too much, you aren't all that good and you know it".

"Don't worry, I won't be arguing with you that much so whatever you say is fine my me". Steve answered.

"Baby food is ready". It was Steve's voice from the balcony, she had felt asleep while talking with Steve and now it was time for dinner.

"Good evening dad, good evening mom". she greeted as she sat down to eat her meal

Leo her eldest brother and the family's first child shot her a hard glare which she understood quickly.

"Evening dear how was your day". Dad who was already eating asked while mom just just mumbled evening dear.

"It was pretty good dad" She replied

"Good evening bro Leo". She quickly greeted before eating her meal. After dad, Leo was the other person in the house that she respected or rather still feared mostly in the house. They were the two set of people that she wouldn't want to fall in their trap. while Leo would always act cold at all times, dad would act cold only when he was angry.

"Dad you saw it again, she didn't greet me. Is it fair? Boody asked.

"Not today again,Boobs please let's eat in peace today, and please cassy don't talk let this pass". Steve answered, he knew what might happen next, cassandra must reply and it wouldn't be nice at all.

"Oops, I'll let that slide for today, Cassy where were you today and why didn't you partake in the cooking?" Boody asked.

"Boobs,keep quiet and observe table manners for once. After eating we could treat that. Mom said in order to keep boody quiet.

"Gosh, f*ck I'm gonna kill this brat today. How do I face this with dad and Leo here, I gat to look for a possible way to escape this. Oops, Boobs must pay for this". Cassandra cursed silently.

Geez what excuse could I possibly use to get out of here,there was no way she could communicate with Steve on this she had to act fast. She knew for sure that if the argument goes for long, dad will definitely call someone from church.

"Sandra?" Her mom called with brows raised

"Yes momma". cassandra replied.

"Aren't you eating". She asked

"Emm,mom I've got some cramps so I lost my appetite". She replied and used that opportunity to rush upstairs

"Okay, get some drugs and clean up okay?" Her mom said as she rushed upstairs.

"Yes momma". she replied, even though she was hungry, it was better to bear the hunger than to face her dad and brother's wrath. She was on her phone when Steve came into the room.

"Wow, I never knew you were that good in telling lies". Steve said entering the room with a tray of food in his hands.

"What do you expect, I learnt it from the boss himself". She replied collecting the tray of food from him, she knew for sure that he'd definitely bring her food to eat.

"Watch your mouth kid, you're biting the hand that's feeding you right?" Steve said as he went back to lock the door properly before going to seat on the couch while Cassandra was already eating.

"Really, I never knew". She answered teasingly.
