"Steve meet in my room right away". Dad said abandoning the rest of his food and storming upstairs.
I only smirked and walked after him, I was no longer afraid of what anyone will think or say to me, there's absolutely nothing on this earth and beyond that they would say to change my mind. After seeing that her beautiful smile on that day, I was reassured that she was actually worth it. No matter what I must make her mine.
"So what was that all about". Dad said as he sat down on the couch and pointed at the other one opposite him for me to seat down.
"It was about my girlfriend". I answered honestly not giving any hint of fear.
"And you're repeating it on my face. I said what was that all about". He screamed out, I was quite sure that those in the entire estate actually heard that. I knew for sure that I'd be beaten up in no time so I had to quicken it because mom was already banging on the door shouting "Honey please take it easy, he is just a child", while Boody on the other hand was busy shouting "Dad we're sorry", it was quite obvious Boody was just faking because mom was there and same goes to Cassy. She was just there because of mom.
"It's about me introducing my girlfriend to mom next weekend". I said still sitting relaxed on the couch. I would definitely play it cool as usual, dad always found it difficult to treat my case unlike the other three; Leo would always raise his voice at dad and then it wouldn't end well while Boody will burst into tears, I know for sure that his tears were actually fake, he is quite secretive about lots of things. Based on the recent happenings, I guess Boobs might be even stronger than Leo and I. There are still lots of things I'm yet to discover about that brat.
"How old are you". Dad asked and stood up going towards where he usually keeps the whip.
"22 by March". I answered still feeling relaxed, I tried all possible best to maintain my calm so that dad wouldn't think I was afraid of him. He was superb in finding out since it was part of what made him up, he usually acted all tough and carried a fearful aura when around others but he usually showed his true self around his family.
"And you're already in a relationship right?". He said and started using the whip on me.
"C'mon dad, you were worse. Just stop making this a big deal and leave things the way they should be". I said making sure I completed what was on my mind before giving in to the whips he gave me.
"Are you insane, do you realize that will distract your studies, do you know what it takes to be in a relationship?". He asked as he flogged me mercilessly as if venting all the anger in the world on me. Dad could be quite fierce when he is angry, but I loved the fact that he never show his true mood outside,he was always wearing an expressionless look on his face when he is around others.
"Dad with all due respect I aren't insane and also she doesn't distract me instead she helps me in my studies, then about me knowing what it takes to be in a relationship, yes I do; I should be the one asking if you know what it means to be in a relationship, I think you're the one who doesn't know what it takes to be in a rela...."
**SMACK*I was immediately marched down and was raised to hit the wall, he picked me up again and threw me towards the dressing table, I clashed with the mirror had some few cuts but no tears were in my eyes.
**SHOUTS**
All this while, mom, Cassandra and Steve where still outside the room consistently banging the door. I actually felt for mom and wanted to end it quickly, dad's whipping wasn't going to stop soon so I had to do it my own way despite the constant whipping and smacking.
"Dad, it takes love, respect, understanding, honesty and lots more to be in a relationship. Do you even love mom? Why don't you respect her decisions if you really love her? Why are you che...".
*TAH*
He immediately used the whip on my mouth in order to silence me from speaking further, I knew I had had enough and would loose myself if I stayed any longer. I quickly began heading towards the door with him still whipping me.
"I'm still going to bring her NEXT WEEKEND". I said and flung the room door and left angrily, mom was already running after me "baby are you okay, aren't you hurt? You need to go to the hospital". She said immediately she saw me coming out of Dad's room. I wondered how I got this woman as my mom, how was she able to win my dad's heart when she was super weak? Why will she always call us babies, she always referred to us as kids when we were clearly not. Leo was 24, I was almost 22, Boody would be 20 in a month time and Cassy was 17 but yet mom still regards us as babies.
"I aren't in the mood mom, I'll take care of myself". I said slightly pushing mom aside and rushing down to my room, Boody gave way for me immediately the door was open while Cassy stared at me wickedly while at mom's back.
I didn't give dad's talk a thought at all, Boody and I started planning on how to destroy Cassy and her groups plans, we ended the chat immediately Boody started begging that he needed to sleep I had no option than to let him be. I have always underrated him and regarded him as just a glutton but lately, I've found out those were just pretense.
"Hi ma, good evening". Blitche said and waved at my mom who was sitting on a couch in the parlour watching TV.
I had gone to her place after school and waited for her to finish packing before we finally left their place. She actually gave me a tough time while at that, she was surprised I had a car while I was still in secondary, she also forced herself into the front seat saying she was my girlfriend and she shouldn't be at the back seat. She packed up a full bag of clothes when I stated clearly that it was just for the weekend. She literally described every soul that we passed by as we drove out of their street. I wasn't interested but she kept on explaining to whoever she was explaining to because I was 100 percent sure that I wasn't the one she was talking to.
"Good evening darling, you must be Steve's girlfriend right?". Mom asked as she looked up from the papers in her hands.
"Yes ma and without any one telling me, you're the mom. You look amazingly beautiful and have a nice dentition". She said still shining her teeth as usual. Gosh how can a person just be smiling sheepishly for no reason, it's somehow.
"Wow thanks for the compliments, you're really beautiful with a nice smile no wonder how you were able to trap my son". Mom said still smiling.
"No, he trapped me. I was on...".
"Dad here she is, she is a who're and a mystical vampire. She eats up people in school". Cassy said as she climbed down the stairs with dad following her closely with a fierce aura.
"Good evening Mr Fanna". She greeted politely genuflecting slightly with her smile still on her face.
"And what the hell is good about the evening, now get out of my house". He said and was about to charge at her, I immediately jumped in between the both of them.
"Dad she goes no where, she's my guest and I decide when she leaves". I said staring directly at his eyes that were blazing red.
"Not in my house". He said and gave me a slap on the cheek, I only retorted to that with a smirk.
"She goes no where I said and dragged the still smiling Blitche to my room, he had actually raised his hand to hit her.
"Just know I'll demean you to a nobody". I said and stared wildly at him before he finally let us pass in peace. Mom as usual was already pleading "Honey please calm down". While Cassandra was still shocked that I silenced dad so quickly.
I had prepared the guest room close to my room for her to stay because I wanted privacy but on getting there it was locked. Uhh f*ck Boody, he didn't like the idea of her being in a separate room so I guess he was the one with the keys. I called his line but he didn't pick up so I got no option than to take airhead to my room.
