"very well! Let's start."
TEST HAS STARTED
When Largon entered, the doors closed, so he was a bit nervous, but he maintained his calm, and some moments later, a tree monster with a red tag on its head that said "lvl 1 tree spirit" appeared.
Shortly after, the tree tried attacking his leg, but he quickly moved to a side and managed to land a strike.
This wasn't able to kill the spirit, as it still had 40% of his HP left, but after one more hit, he was able to do so.
Two more spirits appeared, but he parried one and dodged the other, and he was able to land a hit on their backs.
He did that another time, and he thought this was going to be very easy, but he changed his mind when he saw two fire salamanders appear, because although they were only level 2, they seemed more agile.
He tried attacking one of them after having defended himself, but he found out they were just as fast as he was, so he tried stepping back, but one of them was able to hit him, and he got a bit of burns.
Seeing how they acted, Igor quickly went back a bit to think about how to attack them. He thought that if he could land a blow on one of the salamanders, he might only have to deal with the other one as it would be slower, so he tried doing that.
Having blocked their attacks, he tried directing a stroke at one of them in a more careful way, and he was successful: one of the salamanders was now heading towards him slightly faster.
He separated the creatures and tried attacking the one that was closest to him, which was a bit easier, so, with his method of attacking and separating, he was able to kill both salamanders.
While killing the last one, he saw a level up VFX (visual effect), so he opened his window and saw he had one skill point, but that had to wait a bit since the next wave, consisting of four level 2 water slimes, had appeared.
Upon spawning, one of the slimes attacked, so he tried parrying, but he was unsuccessful as the slime passed through the sword as if it were made out of water, and so his health dropped to 70%
He realized he couldn't rely on parrying, so when two slimes tried attacking him from the sides, he waited until the last moment to slide out of their attacks and strike both of them, who had collided mid-air.
This attack made Igor realize the main weakness of the slimes, and that was that they attacked in the air, so they couldn't change trajectory, so he started to abuse this fact.
After some minutes of avoiding the slimes mid-air to attack them while flying, he managed to defeat them all, and after that, he saw a system message:
BOSS INCOMING
Suddenly, a dragon kid appeared, it looked weak for its size, as it was only level 3, but its name was bright red.
Igor reasoned that because he was big, he had more chances of hitting him, so he sprinted in his direction.
The strike that was meant to hit the scales instead hit his claws, which blocked the attack, and it decided to counter with a tail swipe, which Igor just narrowly escaped.
Changing his backwards momentum while the dragon was still focused on his tail, he managed to land a blow, which depleted his health to around 80% HP and angered the dragon even more.
With this chain of attacks, Igor realized the limits of the dragon's movement, as he realized that this dragon still had to learn how to fly.
The dragon then used fire breath, which unfortunately hit Igor, and he saw how he lost 20 HP in one hit and was marked with burning status.
The attack had drained 40% of his health, so he was worried about the damage he would receive from the burn status, and decided to dodge everything he could until his burns had disappeared.
After getting 1 damage for 20 seconds straight, he was ready to counterattack the dragon, as he realized the fire breath cooldown would finish if he didn't end the fight soon.
Igor knew that dying here wouldn't trigger the 48h penalty that would normally happen, instead, he would just go to the class selection part of the tutorial, but although there weren't any drawbacks, it would probably be the most important death, as that would mean missing out on a better class that would happen if he had defeated all the enemies, so he knew he had to put in his all.
With that knowledge, he rushed to the dragon, and just before hitting him, knowing it would be blocked by his claws, he feinted and managed to land a hit.
He did this another time, and it worked. Now the dragon was at 40% health, and he was at 20% health.
Thinking this tactic could work, he tried doing it another time, but the dragon blocked with his other claws so he could defend the faint with the ones that were free, and he succeeded, so Igor tried to leave, but the dragon managed to get him to his knees, and, with his sword, this was ultimately a battle to see who could put the most force into his weapon.
The dragon was clearly winning, but Igor kept resisting with all his might, and at the end, he managed to gather enough force to keep the dragon's claw away and roll out of his death by a hair's length.
While rolling, the dragon did manage to scratch him, which made him lose 8% of his health, so now he had 12% HP.
Suddenly, Igor had an idea: He knew the dragon knew about his feints, but he thought he could maybe be able to stab him in the back, if he ran fast enough, but he also knew a hit from the dragon would kill him, so he had to put every ounce of energy he still had left. He thought that when he had time, he would put some of his skill points on ENG.
Igor ran to the dragon with full intentions of stabbing him, but at the last moment, he sprinted as far as he could around the dragon. The dragon managed to scratch him once again, making him have 4% HP, but he still got to the back of him, who was around 2 meters wide, and stabbed him with all his force.
His instincts immediately told him that the dragon, who was angry throughout the fight, was scared for once, and with respect, he decided to not kill the dragon and leave him at 1% health.
Then, with a fierce voice, Igor shouted:
"Dragon, accept defeat and i will spare your life, as even now, i have respect"
And just after, the dragon fainted.
"you have leveled up"
TEST HAS FINISHED
When this message appeared, he instantly got healed, and he decided to look at his stats with relief. He decided to spend 2 of the 3 skill points he had on ENG and 1 in DMG. He later went where Flara was to get the skill he deserved.
"Wow, I'm amazed, your performance was great, and you had the determination of a beast, and you are also the first person who has spared the dragon's life, so i'm greatly touched. For that matter, i will present you a special class for you, Largon"
Igor was surprised the dragon wasn't saved more times, but he was more curious about his class. Almost everything in Tergia had a "ranking", where it went from common to rare to unique to epic to legendary, and he knew that there was not anyone in the top 100 players that had a common or unique class, but he thought the fact of having beaten the test was enough to get at least a unique-rank class, and he was right.
The options he had were, to his surprise, all epic, but one, which Flara wanted him to choose, was legendary:
[Class: One with the dragons]
Rank: Legendary
Abilities:
+2 STR +2 DEF +1 DEX +1 ENG
+30% resistance of fire
+40% friendship increase with dragon related NPCs
Fire breath: AOE (area of effect, damages multiple creatures) attack that does 20 DMG at impact and gives everyone affected "burning" status and does 1 damage per second for 20 seconds. (5 minute cooldown)
Scale armor: gives user a scale armor for 5 minutes that deflects 40% of damage (2 hour cooldown)
Igor obviously chose this class, and filled with excitement, he checked his stats:
Player: Largon
Race: Lizardmen (Draco subspecies)
Stats: 5 STR (strength) 3 DEF (defense)
3 DEX (dexterity) 4 ENG (energy)
Skill points: 0
Abilities:
Fire breath (click for info)
Scale armor (i)
After having checked his stats, his screen went black, and he got a message that they would be teleporting to the Elragons Empire starter village.
