Chapter 3 - 3| No revenge

"For how long?" It's still very hard for Max to believe his eyes.

After the scene that happened a while ago, he quietly walked Tristan out with him. And now, they're seated on the barstools in a beer bar across the company.

After several gulps of beer, Tristan sighed. "Five months and still counting." He simply answered.

Maxwell's eyes almost popped out of its sockets as he poke out five fingers, "Five fucking what? Dude, you've been fucking my sister for five months under my nose. You do know you're playing with fire, don't you?"

"Chill up, man." Tristan rolled his eyes. After all, they're all the same. "Like you didn't fuck my younger sister back in highschool?"

"This is no revenge, is it?" Max's eyes narrowed.

"I won't use my love life to play 'Get back' or 'Temple run.' I love Francesca for real, bro."

"Look, better save whatever feelings you've developed for her because Justin won't sit down listening to you patiently as I am now when he finds out."

The thought of Justin finding out about Tristan and his younger sister sent cold chills down his spines. He knows himself as a very good professional player when it comes to women. He doesn't hook up with one woman twice and he doesn't do commitments or relationship just like his friends.

"I thought about that too, but you know it's not easy for me."

Max placed one hand on his shoulder, "Be a man. I won't stand my sister marrying a weak man in the future and secondly, if you really love Francesca then fight for it. I've never fallen in love before so I can't talk out of experience."

Tristan shook his head, agreeing. After a while, he asked. "Do you think….. Justin would take it easy on me if he finds out about his sister and I?"

Max almost choked on his beer. "Say what? Dude, if you experience such in your dreams better wake up because it might be a trap. I know my cousin very well. We grew up together since we were a child and he never goes easy on anyone. He is tough and rough. I'm also scared of him too."

Justin as they all know, outside from his handsomeness, success and good charming well-built muscular body, he is fire. When one mean fire? He is dangerous. A very dangerous man just like playing with sharp objects. Men, women, boys, girls, rich, poor, old, young…. Everyone fears him. He barely smile and when he does, someone will drool. A too serious man, tell me how would it be easy to convince about this type of situation? Tristan would be so sorry if worse comes to worse. Especially if he finds out that his womanizing best friend is courting with his younger sister.

But does he looks like he cares?

He doesn't mind if he won't spare his life. He is ready to risk his life for the love of his life and that also implies that he is forever ready to face Justin's wrath. The only reason why Max is not doing anything right now is because he has once came in contact with Tristan's younger sister in the past. Then, she was a newbie, a junior in highschool and he was in his final senior year, planning for college at that time. But whatever Tristan have with Francesca is not a revenge to get back at Max.

.........…

Meanwhile, Francesca was pacing back and forth in Max's office. Waiting for him to arrive. Lunch break is over five minutes ago and still, no sign of him. Her mind hasn't been at rest since he caught them in the act of sex. She wonders what he might be doing to the poor guy by now, but she hopes he doesn't hurt him.

She blamed herself for hiding their relationship for over five months now. But how could she disclose it? If every other person would assigned it, Justin won't approve it. He'll fight Tristan tooth and nail because he has a very bad reputation with women.

Yes she's aware about how he toys with women but she has never caught him cheating on her since they became a thing. He vows that he'll diviate from his past way of life because of her and he sticks to it till date. Francesca loves him but for how long would she hide her relationship with her brother's best friend?

Just then, the door opened and Max walked in straight to his seat. "Be happy it wasn't Justin."

Her heels made clicking sound on the tiles as she grabs a seat across his desk. "How did it go?"

"How?" Max corked an eyebrow, "You're sounding like we went to deal with the issue in Justin's office."

"Of course not." She cursed, blaming herself again. "I shouldn't have asked him to come see me at the office. I know you're mad and since you already know about us, Justin will find out shortly."

Max couldn't help but laugh, shaking his head. "Look, am a different fellow. I can't be against your love life and happiness. Tristan is your happiness and whatever makes you happy, makes me happy too."

"Ah, really?" She bounced from her seat to hug him tightly. "You're the bestest brother in the whole wide world."

"Hey, I can't breathe."

"Sorry," She pulled away, helping him fix his coat. "I'm so excited."

"Fine but you still have to be very careful. If I hear or discover a thing or Tristan dares to hurt you, I swear to him that I'll blow his brains out. That was my promise to him."

"Come on, Tristan is not the same old guy you used to know. He is changed now."

"How do you know? Do you go around with him all the time like a shadow?" He stood up and picked some documents after glancing at his watch. "I almost forget my meeting with Justin and the EXCOs. I'll see you later but please, I beg of you be very careful. Because if Justin finds out about this…. I'll likewise be a dead meat for being a secret keeper and Tristan….? Let's just leave that part of the story."

Francesca beamed, waving at him on his way out. "Don't worry. We're good."
