Anna's POV
I had been feeling several type of way, from being nauseous to getting tender in the breast. All I wanted was to lie down all day. I was probably coming down with something.
The driver took me to the pharmacy the next day to get some toiletries. I subtly picked up some pregnancy test kits from the shelf.
I rushed into my bathroom, and peed on the stick. It was moving slowly. God! "Please do not let it be positive!"I prayed earnestly.
I opened my eyes after three minutes, and saw my worst nightmare coming to pass.
Two red lines! Positive! How is that even possible. I was sure that I was taking the morning pills everyday. I never missed it.
'No, no,no. This is not possible!' I whispered.
I peed on another stick, and it came out positive. I am too young to have a child, especially with someone I didn't love. I have my life planned ahead of me. What would my mom say? Their problems pushed me to commit prostitution, become a baby mama. It was something I never imagined myself doing.
" You'll have a good time with us." Sarah assured me, and I nodded grimly. She was still over the moon that her grandson finally decided to settle down with someone.
Apparently, he was a player that vowed never to settle down. We were having some tea in her room, when I felt a rumble in my stomach. It started slowly, before I knew it. I ran to the bathroom, and vomited.
"Are you okay, dear?" She inquired from without.
" Yes, ma'am. Must be something I ate" I yelled back.
I stared into the mirror, and prayed thag my my worse nightmare wasn't coming to life.
"Should I get Vincenzo? We need to go to the hospital." She said, and that spurred me into action.
" What? No." I replied, "I mean, I'm fine. I'm allergic to a lot of things."which was very true.
She stared at me skeptically, but I shrugged.
" I promise, I'm fine." I replied.
"Can we go back to what we were doing, I need some fresh air." I told her. She was very warm and receptive.
"I hope you're okay, now?" She asked.
"Yes, ma'am."
" Call me Sarah, you're going to be my grandson's wife. You're already family." She said.
Aren't we getting ahead of ourselves, I wanted to ask but kept my cool. I mean, I practically had no option. I was stuck in this place, when I had other things I could do with my time.
" It's such an honor." I replied her. This place would have been so unbearable if not for her company. She made sure I had a lot of jewelry, clothes, shoes that I know that I couldn't ordinarily afford. This went on to show how wealthy they were.
"I'd like to return to my room, I wouldn't be present for dinner." I informed her.
"Okay, dear. Do have a goodnight." She said, and I smiled, and walked away.

" I heard that you have been feeling under the weather lately." Vincenzo said, immediately I opened the door. I could have sworn that I saw a glimpse of concern in his eyes. He was already dressed for work, looking sharp in his corporate attire. He looked really good this morning, as much as I hated to admit it.
"Yes, I'm quite allergic to a lot of things." I replied. That was my reply to anyone who requested about my health.
"I don't think so..." He said, staring at me intently.
My heart palpitated against my chest. It was as if he knew what was wrong with me. "That is ridiculous, calm down Anna." I told myself and managed to perfect my bored face.
"Its time for breakfast." He announced, and I was annoyed. I wanted to sleep in bed all day. I was still in the first trimester, from what I read, and it was normal with early stage of pregnancy, and I was still feeling queasy a lot.
"I'm not in the mood for breakfast." I replied.
"I'll send someone up." He informed me and walked away.
"Thank you." I replied, shut the door, and rested behind it, and sighed in relief. His cologne was stirring up bile in me, and if he saw me throw up again, he would ship me off to the doctor. That, I was sure of.
"Please endeavor you eat something." His text read.
I didn't bother to reply. What I wanted was to leave this place.
********
"Why are you hiding in here?" Vincenzo barged into my room, without warning. I tied the sash of my robe properly, and turned to face him.
"What do you mean by that?" I played dumb. I had been skipping meals. Vincenzo had food sent every mealtime of the day. I was feeling very weak these days, and my morning sickness has refused to dissipate.
"Two weeks is too nurse an allergy." He declared, and I sighed.
"You clearly do not know anything about it." I said, cleaning my face with some baby wipes.
"What allergy do you have? What are you allergic to?" He inquired, and I froze. I had not thought about that.
"I don't know what it's called, I have allergies to nuts." I lied. That should suffice.
"That's what you've been saying for the past two weeks. Don't you care about your life?" He aske.
"Of course I do, i just know that it'll pass."I replied quickly. The doctor will surely deduce that I was pregnant. I didn't want to think about what it would mean for my life.
He stared at me for a while, and I was scared. I didn't know why.
"I promise, I'll be fine." I said reassuringly, praying that he believes me, and let things go.
"We're going to see my family doctor tomorrow." He said, his tone brooking no argument.
Oh my goodness! This is a disaster in the offing.
