Chapter 11 - 'Before death decides to do us apart once again.'

'Before death decides to do us apart once again.'

"Before… we even got to know each other." Xavier let out a laugh, calming himself and saving the topic.

Agatha already knew that was a lie. He meant before she died again. So he already has a plan to kill her. What was it going to be this time? Kill her before Adrien's birth? No wonder he was so warm.

Agatha smiled, "What do you wish to know about me, my lord?"

"Many things. What do you like and dislike? Everything."

"As you wish. What I like most would be you, my husband and king, my lord." She answered, 'And what I dislike most is also you.' Agatha spoke in her mind.

Xavier chuckled at her flattery," I am honoured. However, that's not what I meant."

Agatha didn't respond and just ate her meal. It seemed he was trying to find her weakness. If it was before she would tell him everything in ecstasy.

"I have something for you." Xavier stood up from his seat, took out a small jewellery box from his pocket and went over to her side.

He opened the box, taking out a chain with a small size locket attached to it. It was nothing extravagant, it was quite simple. Xavier put it on her for her.

"It's a special chain just for you. I chose it for you, it has our initial carved and also the initial of our future child." Xavier informed, placing a kiss on her head. " Never take it off."

Agatha listened to each of his words carefully. No matter how many times she hears him, it still disgusts her yet with an innocent face she looks up. Her eyes filled with love and innocence.

Eyes are a mirror to one's real emotions and true self. To be perfect in his eyes, hiding that mirror was the first thing. The Agatha he knows is innocent and pure and was nothing but loyal to him.

She grasped onto the chain tightly, "How can I take off something you gave me with love?"

Xavier's lips curled up into a grin," You must be tired, I shall let you rest tonight. " Xavier bid farewell and left the room.

As the servants took the empty plates and left her to sleep alone. Agatha sat down on the bed, curled up like a ball before taking off the precious gift he presented her with.

On the small heart locket, their initials "A" and "X" were written and overlapping both was the initial "A" which represented Adrien. The work seemed shabby as if someone inexperienced made it. How romantic. Agatha put it back promising herself to only take it off the day he dies.

Next morning…

It was still early, as she was deep in slumber. Agatha felt a sudden grip around her neck, slowly squeezing her life out. Agatha tried to struggle to wake up from the nightmare. Yet her body refused to move or open her eyes, she heard whispers of someone she couldn't even figure out.

As her body slowly gave up, Agatha gathered all her willpower to open her eyes, as she tried to breathe.

Agatha saw the lady hovering over him, muttering nonsense as her grip tightened. Agatha tried to push her away. But budging her hand was tougher than she expected.

In the end, Agatha was losing her senses and before she died once again, she grabbed the closest thing her hands could reach and hit her with it without a second thought.

The woman fell straight to the ground, crying out in pain. Agatha slowly got up, coughing out hard trying to gasp for air. Her face was red from lack of air.

"Demon spawn, die and beg for forgiveness before you anger lord." The woman yelled at Agatha, while the corner of her head was bleeding from the hit.

Still, in a daze, Agatha didn't answer and took a better look at the woman. It was none other than the previous queen or one must say the first wife of the previous king.

Hearing the commotion, Stanley and others rushed in to find the queen's mother on the floor with a wounded head while Agatha was on the head, dishevelled in the night clothes.

"Your Highness!" Stanley went up to them, helping Sophia up from the ground.

"Burn her! She is the wife of the demon!" Sophia pointed at Agatha, screaming at Stanley then trying to grab Agatha by force and dragging her by her hair.

Stanley tried to hold Sophia down from Agatha. Agatha remained calm, trying to stand up and fix her clothes and hair before her lips curled up to a smile as she stared right into Sophia's eyes.

"Stanley, leave us. It's fine." Agatha put her arm around Sophia, who clinched back in fear, "Don't touch me, you evil demon!" Sophia cried out trying to push her away.

Stanley saw the tension and Agatha's smiling face. He was concerned but it seems speaking against her wasn't going to help. In the end, Stanley hesitantly left the room giving them privacy.

Sophia tried to push Agatha away, her gaze averted to another direction. Agatha's grip on her remained firm. With a headstrong yet gentle voice, she ordered, "Sit down." Agatha made Sophia sit on the chair.

Sophia gulped in fear and did just like she asked, curling up into a ball. Agatha sighed seeing someone like Sophia pushed to such despair that she lost her sanity. Before she pitied Sophia now she understands her. Why does man play with them like they are dolls?

Agatha stood up, getting a clean towel and water in a bowl, and cleaning the wound she gave her. Sophia remained quiet, wincing in pain.

"I am sorry for hurting you." Agatha apologized, as she cleaned her wound.

"Why did you steal Alvin from me? He was all I had… " Sophia broke down in tears.

Seeing her like that, broke Agatha's heart. Alvin was the name of the previous king. So she attacked her thinking she was Regina.
