Lisa looked at the door where Lucas had walked out for a second more before making her way to the bathroom. She had a habit of taking her bath every morning and evening. And she wasn't planning on stopping it anytime soon.
Stepping into the bathroom, she now noticed that she had paid little attention to it over the pass few days and saw how beautifully designed it really was.
The big swimming pool like tub took up most of the space glittering in an unearthly blue glow, a big window that stood opposite the bathtub had been draped with large black curtains that touched the floor slightly, the bathroom was combination of white and black that made her more and more curious about who Lucas truly was.
Stripping her clothes, she submerged herself in the bubbling water that felt warm to her skin. It was way better than it looked.
Now that she finally had time to herself, she could clearly think. There was something strange going on with Lucas, or should she say her guardian. Everytime they were about to get too close he always pulled back as if not realising what he was doing. She knew the repercussions of them having any form of relationship but each time he pulled back he kept on reminding her about the rules.
The things they were not meant to do.
After a few minutes of relaxing in the bathe she used the soap to scrub herself before coming out and wearing a bathrobe.
Entering the closet, she decided to go with a light pink coloured gown that had the softest silk she had ever felt. Feathers decorated the corset that were white and a few were at the ends. Going to the stand- mirror, she braided her hair to the side and pinned it to avoid it from losing. She left the remaining hair to form a wavy style that casaded down her waist. She added some final touches and stared, satisfied at the reflection that looked back at her.
Lisa slipped into a pair of flat shoes and exited her room while trying to calm her heart that raced for no reason in particular. When she took a step outside she noticed a young man and she couldn't help but stare.
While Lucas's looks resembled that of an ice prince, the man standing beside her was the flower prince himself.
His chocolate brown hair had been combed backwards neatly, letting his defined cheekbones become more noticeable. His stature lean but well built. His grey eyes were a surprisingly good combination with his brown hair and oddly pale skin.
"Greetings lady Lisa, my name is Theodore Roose and I'll be your guide to the dungeon." He spoke beautifully and she nodded unconsciously, if she didn't know better she would have confessed all her problems to him .
"Please follow me." He said with a polite smile on his face.
He walked ahead and she followed him closely but not too close. While they walked, Lisa noticed that they were using a route that was completely different to what she had been seeing with Lucas. It was strange how she never took note of it. The path they walked through had a good number of portraits that hung on the wall and she made a mental note to check back on it later because it seemed like Theodore wasn't stopping for sightseeing.
Breaking the seemingly calm silence, she spoke" Are you Lucas's brother or right hand?"
"I am whatever you wish to regard me as lady Lisa." He answered dutifully.
'Lady?'
'Ahhh.. it was in the historical era and they use these kinds of endearments.'
For Lucas to have allowed him to take her to the dungeon, it means there was a high level of trust between them.
After walking for a few minutes more, they halted at two big gates that screamed of terror and horror.
'I guess this is the dungeon gate.'
"Let us pass" Theodore said and Lisa at first thought he was talking to no one until two huge creatures came in sight. They couldn't be considered big, they were monstrous in size!.
They were red in colour and towered above anything she had ever seen, they had a black eye that layed between thier head and it moved to look Theodore before staring at her. She wondered if this was the time to panick and run but fear made her become rooted in her spot.
Was she meant to say hi?.
"As you wish advisor Theodore." She heard the deep gruff voice from the creature say and the spooky gates opened on their own.
As quickly as Theodore procedded into the dungeon, Lisa was hot on his heals following immediately after him.
Entering the dungeon, Lisa instinctively held her nose in displeasure. It smelled really bad, like many spoilt things dumped all in one place and the floor was another story entirely. She was thankful that she chose to wear a short gown and not one that will sweep the floor unless who knows what it would stick to.
The deeper they walked in, the more eery it became. Soon enough she started hearing agonising cries of pain that made her extremely uncomfortable. Eventually they moved to a different chamber and the sound stopped almost immediately.
Upon coming closer she heard a voice that somehow managed to decrease all unease she was feeling.
"You should consider taking a picture in this cage, you look really pretty in it."
When she heard what Lucas said, she couldn't help but sigh at the lame joke.
Lisa walked to him and Theodore stayed behind, putting his hands in his pockets tiredly.
When Lucas turned to face her, a mischievous glint passed through his eyes and Lisa who saw this gulped.
