The recent missions have been an utter success.
I've made my way to the Top 10 agents of CIA.
One step up that staircase.
Get ready to die by my hands, you piece of shit.
I will kill him.

'Shit.'
As all the oxygen that she had been drained off a few seconds ago came rushing back in, her eyes opened wider than normal as she wasted no time sitting up and looking around.
That was a nightmare, wasn't it?
But how could it have been so realistic and...
"Ave! You okay?"
Haven didn't let it show on her face but underneath she was as startled as a person could be after waking up thinking they were dead.
Correction: Murdered.
The girl who had entered the room out of nowhere didn't seem familiar to her. She narrowed her brows, wondering if she had encountered someone like this on a mission or in the city somewhere but nothing clicked in her mind.
She didn't know this stranger but didn't react, waiting for the girl to make some move so that she could analyze what was currently going on.
If that was a dream, then she should be in her room, not in this unfamiliar room.
Also, no kidnapper would look worried for their prey, right?
Haven's chocolate brown eyes dropped down to her chest and she noticed the white badge on her bosom with her name scribbled on it, her brain wasted no time in gathering information from this.
Vivian He...
"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine. Though," she paused, glancing around and trying to observe the surroundings without being too suspicious. "How did I end up here?"
"Ah I guess you hit your head too hard." the girl named Vivian grimaced slightly. "You fainted out of nowhere and Kevin had to carry you back here."
While Vivian was explaining this, Haven understood her circumstances entirely.
This was a coffee shop.
She was one of the staff here along with Vivian.
She had fainted apparently for some reason.
This whole scenario was making her want to hit her against the nearest wall and explode.
A doubt was spiraling in her brain but accepting it might take her more time and... space. Being around humans without having her hand around their throats was too unusual for her to get used to so soon.
Especially humans who looked like they cared about her. That just enabled her fighter flight to wonder if they were trying to disable her protective measures and deceive her with this façade.
She fell for it once. Never again.
"Um, is my shift over?" Haven pointed to the door, which was only half open and unable to give her a visual of the outside world. "I think I need to get back home so I can rest."
"Yeah, yeah sure! I'll make sure to inform Manager Lu as soon as he pops back to do his daily checks. Give the hospital a visit, maybe something's wrong internally."
Haven tried to pass a reassuring smile but it probably came off like the flat line on a hospital monitor rather than assuring. Hell, she probably looked suspicious as fuck if she wasn't acting the character of whoever this person supposedly was.
Also who goes to the hospital just because they fainted!?
Well, she didn't...
"I'm going then." her cheeks were beginning to hurt because of the rare pressure she was putting on them just to satisfy a stranger she didn't even know.
Taking off her apron, she exited the shop from the backdoor which led to the parking area for the employees presumably. Haven took a step forward but out of nowhere a sudden yet penetrating ache in her head made her lose command over her legs.
Stumbling back, her back pressed against the cold, rough wall, she slid down to the floor, cradling her head in her hands. The pain was unbearable, erupting like a relentless storm within her skull, rendering her unable to keep watch for anyone approaching. It felt as if her very existence was being ripped apart, a sensation she had experienced before, and one she despised with every fiber of her being.
It was as if she was watching a PowerPoint presentation while being tortured continuously. Slides flooded in and the pain seemed to have lessened for the moment, making her focus more on what she was seeing in her mind.
It was... her?
No, it couldn't be her. None of this ever happened to her, this seemed like a completely different person's memories she was going through one by one at high speed. The doubt inside her mind was no longer just a theory; but reality instead.
She got the second chance she wished for.
The woman's body she was currently residing in was apparently an orphan, and she couldn't help but thank Providence for not forcing her to act loving to her 'fake' parents. Maybe her luck wasn't gonna be that bad from now on.
Expectations lead to disappointment, she reminded herself and continued paying concentration to all the images.
Life in an orphanage, being bullied, beating up people while bleeding herself, the girl's life didn't seem better than hers in any way.
And then the most surprising factor.
This girl, 'Haven Lee' apparently worked in the same agency that she had before she ultimately drowned to her death.
Curse that bastard...
'Thank you world, for listening to my last wish and reincarnating me into another Hell, couldn't be more grateful honestly.' she thought sarcastically.
Well, at least now she got another chance to slice off that asshole's neck off the rest of his rotten body.
Adjusting to this new body wouldn't be so hard either. Her name was still the same, just the surname had changed from Chen to Lee. Looking at her face in the glass door had assured her that her facial and body features were the same. Not in the same condition as she was before she got reincarnated but doable.
This girl didn't seem like an assassin considering her body's feel and endurance. Probably worked in another department, Haven realized in her head.
Scouring through her new memories, she smirked.
'The IT department huh? Not bad, not bad...'
The excruciating headache was now nowhere to be felt so she hurriedly got up, looking around to make sure no staff had seen her as she dusted her pants and formed a strategy in her head.
The address of her current residency flashed in her memory and she noticed that it wasn't that far from where she worked as a part-time job.
'Fake' part-time job.
'Better get home I guess.'
