Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

"What are they …building?" Shirou stared at the group of bandits who were carrying logs and cement and building something.

"I want them to build the Clocktower," said Rin as she observed the construction, "Luvia and I already made plans about how we can gather information and resources without arousing suspicions."

"Indeed," Luvia, who was standing beside Rin, nodded her head, "We plan to make some sort of 'guild' similar to those isekai novels that Illyasviel is fond of reading."

"Wait, really?!" Illya perked up as she stood up from her seat and stared at the blonde, "That is so cool! I want to be the guild master then!"

"Shut it twerp," Rin glared at her, before she turned towards Shirou, "apparently, this world has this warriors called huntsmen who are like mercenaries trained and recruited by the kingdom to fight against threats, such as those abomination they call Grimm."

Luvia and Rin planned on recruiting those people, along with other freelancers of particular skillset such as a freelance chef or photographer and the like.

Then, they will open branches in many places and encourage people to make requests and post them on the guild along with the payment, where the members can then choose to take which job they like to do.

It can range from a simple cleaning duty, to capturing wanted criminals.

Well, that was the basic plan anyway. There are much more things to consider before their guild can function as they intended.

"So …why the Clocktower?" Asked Shirou. "And also, does that include the Palace of Westminster?"

"Nothing, just feel like it." Rin shrugs. "And yes, yes it does."

"Because it is an impressive architecture for a headquarters." Luvia frowned at Rin, "as an organization that will surely spread worldwide in the future, our headquarters must be impressive and awe-inspiring for our members to marvel."

"Uh-huh," Shirou nodded, "and how did you convince these guys to work for you?"

Luvia smiled, "a little bit of hypnosis. Now, they will work tirelessly for us, 24/7. And with a rejuvenating jewel placed in the center of the building, the workers wouldn't suffer from fatigue, hunger, and sickness. Cool right?"

"…" Shirou almost wanted Rin and Luvia to stop tormenting them like that. But he knew how useless it is, so he decided to just sent them a disappointed look, to which they simply acted as if they didn't notice anything.

They also feel a little guilty, but hey, their own interest comes first. Not to mention these people were bandits and not someone who are innocent.

"Wow, that's messed up." Said Illya, staring at Rin and Luvia in amazement, "and that's coming from me who would enjoy cutting people's head and preserving them."

Holy hell. Shirou sighed in defeat. What the fuck is wrong with these people? Never mind, they were always been like this.

Though the girls wouldn't just randomly slaughter innocents, they also have no interest in morality and whatsoever.

Rin and Luvia would gladly dissect people if it meant furthering their magecraft, heck even Shirou wasn't spared from their experiments.

Though he wasn't dissected, Rin and Luvia already did plenty of research using his body. They have his permission of course, Shirou doesn't really care about what happens to his body as long as he can keep them happy.

Rin and Luvia knows this too, so they didn't dare take it too far, because Shirou wouldn't utter a word of complaint and will let them be.

Shirou's Reality Marble is a good research material, but they won't even mention it if researching it would bring harm to Shirou.

Their bonds surpasses that of their love and fascination to their magecraft, it is bond forge since childhood and tempered by their experiences.

"By the way, where are Bazett, Artoria, and Medusa?" Asked Shirou.

He has been looking for them since earlier but couldn't find a trace of them. Sakura was cooking, and usually Medusa would accompany her, so imagine his surprise when he found out that she wasn't with Sakura.

Only Sella was accompanying her, with Leysritt, or Liz, just eating some snacks while watching the two of them cook.

And he knew for a fact that Medea was still interrogating that woman. What was her name again? Raven?

While Caren decided to 'spread the teaching of God in this dark world filled with blind people'—yeah, apparently she already gathered quite a lot of followers and believers.

It won't be long before a new religion will spread throughout the world.

"I sent them out," said Rin, "We need publicity for our guild after we finished building it."

"She asked them to be heroic and save some frontier villages and capture wanted criminals and rogue huntsmen." Said Luvia.

The World of Remnant, the world where the vampire sent them in, is a world that is dominated by creatures called Grimms, and Humanity and Faunus(people with animal features) were driven to the brink of extinction.

There are Four Kingdoms in Remnant, and only those four can be considered as safe from the Grimms due to its military and huntsmen protecting it along with its high walls and natural defenses.

There are other settlements aside from the four kingdoms, they were frontier towns and villages, they were small settlements with little to no protection against Grimms and Bandits.

The Four Kingdoms could barely protect those frontier settlements so dozens of them suffered attacks almost every month.

Some of those settlements might get lucky and have a wandering huntsman stay there for a few days or weeks, some would even settle down and have a family.

One of the most prosperous frontier town is called Arcadia, which is a place protected by a family of huntsmen for generations. It is a place that has a rich economy and a strong military and huntsmen.

Some says within a few decades it would grow to be the fifth kingdom.

"I see, then I guess I should help too." Said Shirou, "I'll head out and gather some information, and spread the name of our guild at the same time …speaking of which, what would you call it? The guild, I mean."

Rin pondered for a moment before she shrugs, "Freelancer's Association? Whatever, the name isn't important anyway."

"I disagree," Luvia frowned at her, "Names hold power. We can't just casually name our guild like that."

"Well what do you want to call it?" Rin glared at Luvia, "If you can come up with a better name then you have the honor of changing it."

"…" Luvia was silent. Yeah, she wasn't good with names also. She fake-cough, her cheeks turning red in embarrassment, "W-Well, let's just stick to that name for now."

She glared at Rin who sent her a smug look.

Shirou sighed before saying, "I will be leaving then, I'll leave this place to you all."

He feels irritable when he's not doing anything. And now, he can't wait to leave and finally stretch his muscles.

"Onii-chan, let me come with you!" Illya hopped down from the chair she was sitting on and run towards Shirou, "I'm bored here! I need me some entertainment!"

Shirou scratched the back of his head, "Sorry Illya, it's dangerous, I can't take you with me. We know next to nothing about this world."

"Mou~," Illya pouted, "you always leave me alone when you're going somewhere! It's not fair~, how come only Rin and the others gets to accompany you? I'm almost a Sorcerer, I'm way better at Rin and Luvia!"

"Don't be arrogant chibi!" Rin exclaimed, glaring at Illya, "I will have you know that I'm learning Kaleidoscope from that vampire himself! And its way better than Heavens Feel!"

"Still way better than you!" Illya retorted.

Luvia just stayed silent. She was the only one who wasn't learning true magic after all, but she does have a magic teacher with the name of Medea.

Not to brag, but Medea is one of the top five strongest and skillful magus in history, confirmed by Solomon himself.

If she possessed a powerful Clairvoyance, Medea would no doubt be qualified to be a Grand Caster candidate.

"Enough you two," Shirou sighed, sometimes he felt like he's way too old for all of this, "Illya, next time I promise I'll take you wherever you want me to, but now, please understand."

Illya pouted, but she nodded nonetheless, "Fine. But promise me you'll take me out on a date someday."

"I promise." Shirou nodded. "And it's not a date. You're my sister."

"So what? A brother and sister can go in a date, not like they're going to start making out. And let me remind you that we're not related by blood."

"…Fine. Whatever makes you happy."

"Yay~!" Illya then sent Rin a smug look, much to the woman's frustration.

"I'll be on my way then," said Shirou, "I'll just bid Sakura and the others goodbye before leaving."

"Take care." Rin waved her hand, before giving her attention back to the workers.

"Have a safe trip Sherou," Luvia smiled, before she tiptoed and pecked his lips.

Rin saw it, but acted as if nothing happened and just crossed her arms to show her dissatisfaction.

"No fair! Let me kiss onii-chan too!" Illya tried kissing his lips, and failed.

Shirou just smiled and kissed her on the forehead. She was dissatisfied, but knew that she couldn't ask for more.

The redhead then turned towards Rin, who seems to be avoiding his gaze. He smiled and walked behind her before hugging her on the waist—she didn't resist, and only blushed as Shirou kissed her.

"Idiot." She muttered as Shirou let go of her waist and walked away, leaving them with a smile.
