I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Eric, aged 16. I'm slow on a lot of levels when it comes to swimming. I also watch anime. Yes, I didn't bother writing for another 2 years.
One day, I was walking home (I live, like, 10 minutes away from the school), and I decided to do some shopping. My shoes are losing a lot of traction, so I decided to go to the newly opened Nike Store in the mall. I got some shoes, and then had lunch with myself. During lunch, I received a mysterious text.
"Who is this?"
"Zeus, I'm serious about it. I'm the actual god." (Zeus)
I could've guessed this right now. No one knows Zeus's phone number, unless he specifically texts you.
"I'm gonna warn you now, but you'll get zapped by lightning after leaving the mall." (Zeus)
"Why?"
"You've been chosen for some tasks and supernatural powers, kid. Oh, and you'll also grow about 10ish inches, I'm sure you'll survive. Oh, by the way, you're one of the 2 chosen ones. You'll end up saving the second one." (Zeus)
"I'm not so sure about that, though."
"Well, you've been informed, so bye." (Zeus)
That was weird. I'm still wondering what happened on that day.
Welp. Anyway, I exited the mall, and the forecast said thunderstorms today, so it was expected. Suddenly, I got zapped, and everyone that I saw was scared and concerned. I walked out of the smoke, and everyone that's around kinda shocked that I survived. The truth is, I didn't even get harmed by the zap. Back to the main point, eventually realized that I have access to a screen, and started using it to get more information on why I got zapped. I then realized that the welcome screen explains everything, so I didn't have to search. The welcome screen read:
Welcome to the supernatural world. You've been chosen to protect the universe because we detected no corruption from you. You'll learn the functions of this screen from a software tutorial. Enjoy your journey for fighting.
Oh well, I went through the tutorial, and decided to take a shower. I just did my work at night, but then realized that the news that I got zapped and survived without any injuries went viral. That meant that I would need to do an interview tomorrow. I got pissed, so I decided to sleep. Right before I was gonna sleep, I felt sharp pain from everywhere except my head. The pain was so immense, I passed out in around 5 seconds. When I woke up the next day, I looked at my body, realizing that I've become buff with a 6-pack. I then go look into the mirror, then realizing that I've become a 6'2" person that looked handsome. I walked to school that day, but everyone was just looking at me and murmuring stuff about me being so-and-so "Hot". Across the street, there was a cute girl that also noticed, and it caused me to walk faster. Welp. Now that I think of it, I don't remember anything about that girl that occurred in between the 2 years that both of us disappeared from each other.
