"Hello, show me your license, please."
The front desk guy is way nicer than I thought.
I showed my alternate ID (the that's ranked SS, #3 in the world, the Combat God one is ranked G, #1 in the world), but accidentally dropped my G tier one. I had a habit of dropping in on accident every once in a while.
The guy did notice it.
"WHAT?! You're the-"
"Please don't mention that ID. I registered into this academy using this one. I had to drop out of high school to participate in this, and I never knew this existed because I don't look at the news. Now, can you just give me my room key and official schedule sheet? I think they changed it..." (That was me, bro.)
"I'll keep the secret. Here's your updated schedule and room key. Go to your dorm to drop off your belongings and then head to class. Also, everyone's staring at you..."
That's when I realized that everyone, including the teachers, was staring at me.
"Gosh, he's handsome!"
"He looks buff too!"
Even the boys are saying that...
I headed to my dorm, with both IDs, and then realized that I have 3 other roommates. Yay.
The tall good-looking one came over and said, "Hi, my name is Max! I'm an A-rank gunner. You're Efy, right?"
Me personally, I was baffled, until I realized that I was taller than him. "Y-yeah, I'll show you my ID."
The other two also come over. The average-sized one said, "I'm Daniel, just call me Daia for short. I'm B-rank."
The short one also comes over, and he introduced himself as Brian, an S-rank gunner, who got his skills from his extreme stealth.
"Wait, you guys all applied as gunners? I'm an all-rounder." (Me)
"No idea. None of us can operate a spear." I cringed at that.
I then showed my ID, and Max, Brian and Daia were shocked. Max: "W-w-w-wait! You're SS rank and #3 in the world?! Impressive! I'd like to see your skills later at class"
All four of us are in class 1-A, due to each floor of the dorms belonging to each class.
Everyone saw Max, Brian and Daia, and were like, "Oh my. 3 of the top 5 in 1st year! I wonder who's #1 and #2..."
I then walk in, and the room suddenly goes silent. I then checked my grade ranking (#2, it's my alt ID, right), and then realized #1 in the school was right behind me.
"Ooh, I haven't seen you since the truck accident! Thanks for saving me!"
I looked behind. It's the girl. I then looked at the class. They're all blushing.
The girl then said, "I'm Kaori. Just call me Kao. I'm ranked #1 in the school, and #2 in the world. SS rank." I grumpily said, "Well, I'm also SS ranked. #3 in the world, #2 in the school."
I then choose an empty seat that's at a window. Kao follows me and sits right next to me. I then found out it would be a long day for me.
The bell rings.
The teacher comes in, and says, "Welcome to year one at Gunners' Academy! We're ranked #1 for gunners' schools in the States. Our admission is hand-chosen by the chairman, himself. We'll be testing your skills today."
The teacher leads everyone to the gun training field. He says, "Today, you'll be fighting one another. We'll have an example fight between Efy and Kao to show you."
"W-what?! Fine, I'll do it..."
