Chapter 7
I saw a monster, a monster that defies common sense. It was powerful and intelligent. It wasn't like the other goblins.
It had an aura, it was noble, a goblin greater than the other goblin around it.
It had hatred in his eyes. And more importantly, he wore a full set of armor: a chain chest plate, iron legs, and a long sword on its back.
His movements were smooth and knight-like.
"What a fancy monster."
Goblin Level 35
We had a stand-off for a couple of seconds until it turned its back towards me and left, not bothering to meet my gaze. Was I less than him? Because my levels were less,
No, it wasn't that, so why didn't he respect me? I hated that look, I always hate being looked down upon. I smiled and turned around too.
We will meet again. I promise that, fancy monster.
I entered the denser forest, travelling further from the bear cave. I then looked at the mountains and wondered what lay beyond them.
I wouldn't know unless I climbed it, so I did. It took me a while; I didn't know how long. But when I was at the top, the view didn't disappoint me, it was what I was expecting, a forest.
I felt like I was on top of the world. Beyond the mountain was a tree-covered valley for miles. I could see movements below, but I couldn't see what; the trees covered everything.
I slid down to the bottom of the mountain. It was hard to get up but easy going down. I saw a wolf. My fist slammed into its face, internal destruction.
Grey Wolf Level 24
Gained 1 level
The wolf was injured. I continued to slide as I saw the pack below me. I stopped in front of the pack; around six of them glared at me.
I was going to murder an injured pack. I dashed at the first wolf that was in front of me, my dagger entering its neck, in the process, it broke.
I spun around letting the weapon go and slammed my elbow into its head, cracking its skull in the process with essence. It died.
I dashed towards a tree with quick steps. I ran up the tree.
I came down like a hawk catching its prey, internal destruction. My fist caught another wolf off guard; it cried out. Three wolves dashed at me simultaneously.
I was ready, boxing skill. Essence surrounded my hands; I pushed the essence outward, punching them ten times with essence. An explosion was created; the skill didn't do much damage, but I could still feel the recoil.
As I dashed at them while they were in mid-air, internal destruction. I hit the wolf in the center in mid-air, and it spat out blood.
The two other wolves dropped down and dashed at me. I grabbed the closest wolf's mouth that attacked me first, pulling it downward; it collided with the ground and screamed out. With quick steps, I was out of the way.
I side-kicked the other wolf that tried to bite me. I appeared in front of the wolf I slammed in the ground, I finished it off with internal destruction.
That's four times I used internal destruction. I used internal destruction and quick steps simultaneously.
The wolf was sent flying with my inertia. I stopped and breathed. My body was burning up.
I was sure it was dead
Alert!
I dashed away from my position. I rolled in the grass and turned around to look at a hulking creature that stood on two feet. Its body was muscular; it smiled as it looked at me, holding a massive tree.
It's an ogre, a massive pink monster with a small head covered in blood. Its body is filled with bites and claw marks.
Boom. The tree destroyed the spot where I stood a few seconds ago. It looked at the spot where I was and then looked at me confused.
I dashed towards it; it swung the tree. I slid under his weapon, feeling the breeze from its swing. I was right in front of it; it staggered backward, surprised.
Its surprise didn't last long. It pulled back its weapon and smashed the spot where I was. It smashed again in anger, hitting everywhere in front of it.
I was hit and sent flying, but luckily, I covered my hand in essence. I got that trick from my boxing skill. But that didn't stop it from almost killing me. It cracked the bones in my arms, and my nose and eyes were bleeding. My knee was cracked.
Health: 50.
While it took its anger out on the ground, I was on top of its head, internal destruction. Its eyes rolled in its head. Its body fell, creating a massive sound. I landed with its body and walked away, looking at my notification.
Gained 7 levels. Level rewards: Essence +3, Mana +3, Spiritual Energy +3.
And immediately, I felt the rush of energy in my body. It felt like drugs, intoxicating. I climbed a random tree and started to look for my tent stone. I couldn't feel it on my waist.
I had lost it. I got down from the tree I was in and started to trace my steps. I looked at the t stop where I was hit, but I couldn't find it. Then I looked where the ogre's body was, and still, it wasn't there. I searched crazily until I saw a red glare.
I picked it up hurriedly, rubbing it gently. I kissed it and said, "Boy, I missed you."

The system was interesting; it seemed when I reached a thrust whole, I'm provided with energy. but which level is that?
Another fact I realized is that my energy is increasing much faster than my attributes. This means if I keep on killing, I will become unstable because I have too much energy. But it seems like my bloodline fixed that issue for now."
Gob
"As the four goblins walked through the forest, one of them looked at Gob and then glanced behind them, clearly frustrated by Gob's actions.
The frustration became more unbearable as the distance between them and Conor increased.
"Gob, why didn't you kill it? Its aura was weaker than yours, and it smelled good too" it asked Gob.
Gob took a deep breath and looked at the goblin who spoke up, then plainly said, "If we fought, he would have killed all of you, and I would be half dead. I would like my chances to be higher than that."
A surprised look came upon the other goblin's face.
Gob looked at everyone and asked, "How do you think he killed our brethren?"
"By sneak attack!" one of the goblins shouted.
"No, by a trap!" another one shouted.
"These guys are really stupid," Gob noted.
"No, a monster like that doesn't need weak methods like that," Gob said. But Gob knew something the others didn't know: that monster had the same aura as the goblin king. It was the essence of being a king, a being above the rest. The way it looked in Gob eyes didn't show fear.
