Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Level 30

I didn't want to enter my tent yet, even though I was badly injured, I needed to push myself after all, my bloodline is all about being reckless, so what could be a better option than doing something reckless?

Which is why I was looking for another animal to kill.

And I found it. It was a red monkey, standing around my height, close to 6 feet. Its hands and legs were massive, and it held a stick in its right hand. It bit into an apple as it sat on a rock. Its tail swung from left to right.

Behind him stood a door, made of rocks, that had red lines through it.

I sift my gaze from the door to the monkey.

Fire Guardian Monkey Level 30

"A food, it came to me, I will cook you good," it said as it licked its finger. Then something else clicked in my head. I could understand all animals that speak.

I looked at the monkey from head to toe and asked him, "Why can I understand you?"

It looked at me like he saw an idiot and said, "It's because of the great system; it enables anyone who wishes to speak to each other, and I wish to speak with you."

Then the monkey pointed its stick at me. I looked at it and waited. A small ball of fire appeared before its stick, about the size of a tent ball.

Bang, it hit me, burning some of my clothes; I ducked to the ground and rolled, putting out the fire quickly. I will essence it pushes against the fire, it puts it out easily, I didn't have to will it what to do.

Then it stopped; the fire was gone. I looked at the monkey, puzzled. I always thought that mana would be stronger, but I was wrong.

Then another ball of fire was created. I dashed out of the way; it missed me. Then another, and another. The monkey was firing random fire.

It held its stick in the air; a small fireball was created, growing bigger and bigger.

With quick step and internal destruction, two of my favourite skills, I appeared right before him, ready to slam my fist into his chest. But it didn't connect.

Its tail wrapped around my hand, stopping me from landing the killing blow. It smiled at me, hitting me at point-blank range

My chest was on fire, the fire the monkey used was condensing on my chest, it dug deeper into my chest, I looked down, and I could see it entering my body.

I screamed out in pain, but that didn't help. I used the only energy I was familiar with, essence. I willed essence to condense on my chest, creating an outer layer

But the fire was still on my chest, It wasn't going out. I looked around for a water source. There wasn't anything I could do. I looked at the monkey, and it was laughing at my suffering.

I pushed the fire outside of my body, I grabbed it with my hand surrounded by essence, and threw it into the sky, it exploded, and a huge wave of heat and fire spread through the sky.

Mana wasn't weak, it needed to be condensed, to be greater or more powerful, I have to try that later, maybe everything needs to condense to be stronger.

I smiled, as the fire that was above fell on us, I covered my body with essence.

The monkey was really going to cook me from inside. I dashed at him, but he dodged out of the way. I made a deep lelf turn with quick step and internal destruction, but he it, while jumping in excitement.

The moment I used quick steps and internal destruction, the skills took essence that was protecting my body.

Health: 30

Then I did something I never thought I could do. I used fire spiritual energy on the monkey. It didn't burn the monkey. My fire wasn't orange like the monkey's fire; it was pure white, surrounding the monkey.

It looked at the fire and laughed, but then something unexpected happened. The fire that was burning me stopped. The monkey looked at me puzzled.

I didn't care why he was puzzled. I arrived right in front of him, making sure to kill him this time.

Internal destruction

My fist tore through his chest, covered in blood. I pulled out my hand; its body dropped lifelessly on the ground. I looked at his dead body, stooped down, and closed its eyes.

And whispered, "Your death will not be in vain. Thanks to you, I understand the ultimate flaw of internal destruction: my fist or body part has to touch you so that my skill works"

Then the monkey disappeared. Now that was new.

Gain 1 level->Level 23

For a while, I gazed at what it was protecting: a door made out of stone. As I got closer, a message popped up in front of me:

"Dungeon of the Fire realms - level 35 required to enter."

I made a U-turn and left; that dungeon had nothing to do with me, and I couldn't even enter it.

—--

I sat on a branch and touched my arms and legs; it stung. I looked at the condition of my wolf skin/clothes. I could smell the burnt fur; every part of my body was burnt. I touched my face; some of my eyebrows were missing, small burnt marks were on my face. I ran my hand through my dreads. I didn't even want to look at my chest, I know it was fuck up.

And I knew some were missing; I didn't need a mirror to know.

I didn't enter my tent yet; I was waiting to see how strong my natural healing ability was. It had to be stronger with the increase in body attributes. I looked at the sky; it was afternoon.

Slowly but surely, I was feeling better. My health went from 30 percent to 35 percent. I was feeling better.

Mission established: save your kind from death. It's the duty of the primordial bloodline to protect the weak. Reward: Full health, a weapon of choice.

I looked around hurriedly, trying my best to find other humans. I heard a scream; I jumped from higher in the tree. At the top, I scanned my surroundings and saw an ogre attacking a group of primordial humans. They had better clothes than me; they even wielded weapons.

But four of them were losing against one ogre.

With quick step, I closed the distance between me and them. Quick step didn't cover a huge distance; its skill was mainly for a quick outburst of speed.

Bang, a male was crushed by the ogre's weapon, a tree. He didn't move, he didn't use any of his skills. Did he not have a skill?

Another male screamed out, he was saying something and someone; he too was crushed. He was crushed in a blood pie.

I couldn't save those two, I didn't have a long-range attack. But I could save the other three, one male and two female.

Another orge grabbed the small female, she screams and shouted, trying to get away.
