Chapter 54 - 53 - Leaving Flora City

Violet was brought out of her thoughts by the sound of boxes falling from Michael's room.

"That idiot." She shock her head in exhaustion, before getting up and walking to his room.

Which was currently had mess everywhere as it all spilt out of the box that had fallen.

"Here, we don't have time for this." She went to use her magic to help but stopped when she saw Victor's skeletons had entered.

The skeletons worked neatly and quickly together, they even organised the stuff as well.

Seeing that she wasn't needed she left the apartment to pack up her own stuff, which was a much quicker affaire.

When she came back everything was neatly packed into boxes in the empty lounge room.

"Alright well if you two are finished then let's get going." She lightly waved her hand, placing all the boxes in her storage ring.

Checking the time she nodded before leading them out of the apartment.

"Michael what's wrong?" Victor paused before turning around to face Michael who was looking back at the apartment.

"Oh.. it's nothing." He smiled back at Victor, taking one last look he walked over to Victor and placed his arm around him.

"This is the start of our grand adventure isn't it, so let's get out their and show the world what we can do." Michael cheered and stated to talk about the future, causing Victor to smile.

They soon got into Violet's car before they left, during the journey Victor couldn't help but ask Violet what she'll do with the car.

"Oh? Well leave it here, after all why would I keep it, it's only useful in this city at the end of the day." Violet spoke like the car was useless.

"Alright we're here!" Violet said full of excitement as she lead them over to an open area made for receiving flying mounts.

"Now where is she.. she's meant to be our ride.." Violet looked around searching for something.

It was at this moment that Victor felt a sudden weight on his shoulder, looking over he found a small flame coloured bird.

"Hello Hestia, are you here to pick up up?" Victor started to pet the bird, enjoying his touch the bird closed her eyes.

"Oh you've found her." Violet heard the bird chirp turned to them, and walked over.

"Chirp." Hestia turned to Violet and looked at her with a piercing gaze.

"W-what... Why are you... Sigh fine." Violet didn't feel comfortable with Hestia's sharp gaze on her, and she tried to act like she's done nothing wrong.

Before finally giving up and taking out a golden red crystal and throwing it into the air, Hestia immediately flew into the and caught the crystal before eating it.

"Tsk, greedy fire chicken." Violet muttered to herself feeling much poorer.

"Ok, ok I gave you the sunfire stone, and we are kinda in a furry." Violet didn't want the fire chicken to ask for another one, so she hurried it along.

Sitting on Victor's shoulder she turned her gaze away from Violet not paying any attention to her as she enjoyed Victor's scratching her chin.

"Don't ignore me! Or I'll tell dad." Upon hearing this Hestia froze before looking down in sadness with a pitiful look.

"Don't even try it you greedy bird." Violet didn't fall for it even for a second.

"Cry!" Finally relenting she fly off Victor's shoulder before rapidly growing in size becoming huge.

She was now large enough to hold five people on her back, landing on the ground she put her wind down as a ramp.

Climbing up they sat down before Hestia went high up into the air with a single flap of her wings.

They watch as the city became smaller and smaller, as their distance increased.

Although Hestia flyed at a high speed, there wasn't any wind pressure for them outside of a little breeze as they were protected by her mana.

"Now we're heading for Spring City to use their teleportation circle, as if we didn't then it would take us a whole week of flying." Violet said as she enjoyed the view.

Spring City was a Tier 5 City and was the closest city with a commercial teleportation circle for citizens.

It had a estimated population of 1.28 million people and it was around 6 km in size, of course not all of it was the actual city but even still it couldn't compare with higher tier cities.

"Now if you have any questions you want to asked go ahead." Violet said her eyes closed, enjoying the breeze.

"Oh I have a couple big sis." Michael raised his arm in excitement.

"Alright shoot." She nodded eagerly awaiting his questions.

"First I've been wondering about this for awhile, even Victor didn't know what it means but what are blessings?" Michael desperately wanted to know about this.

"Huh? Wait did you say blessings?!?!" She did a complete 180 and grabbed Michael by his shoulders tightly, as she asked in shock.

"Umm yes why?" Feeling pain from her holding his shoulders with quite a bit strength, so he tried to pull her off unsuccessfully.

"Where did you hear about them?" Seeing him in pain she let go and tried to calm herself down.

"Umm well I have 3 so I was wondering why I had them." Michael answered with sweet running down his back.

"Wait, wait, wait you have not one but three!" Violet felt as though the whole world was collapsing.

"How in the gods name did you get not one but three." She grabbed her head in confusion at how unfair the world is.

"What's wrong? Is there anything bad about this, what's with that reaction?" Michael was left stumped, they've both never seen Violet react in such a way before. So both boys became concerned.

She calmed down, taking a few breaths before explaining why.

"Well... I'm not the best to teach you about this so I'll keep this short, so blessings are sorted after by everyone but there isn't any certain way to acquire them, other than proving themselves to the gods.

But they are like super rare, each blessing is different according to the god who gave it.

For example the Holy Blessing given by the goddess of White Light, gives it's holder a massive bonus to their attacks adding additional holy damage and abilities." Violet started to explain patiently.

"They can have a huge variety of effects which are super duper powerful. So I have absolutely no idea how you got one, not to mention I've never heard of someone having two." Violet layed back on the bird.

"Really..." Victor replied holding his chin in thought.

"Yeah so don't go around screaming that you have a blessing after all there's organisations that hate gods, so they try to kill you." Violet said not caring anymore.

"Alright moving on, what are you two plans?" Violet feeling a little jealous wanted to change the topic.

"Well I don't really care after all school doesn't start for another week does it." Michael replied now losing interest.

"What about you Vic?" Violet turned her attention to Victor wanting to know his thoughts.

"Well in Dragon City there should be more resources and knowledge available to us, so I can start learning about Alchemy and Runes, while preparing for class." Victor replied laying out his thoughts.

"I get Runes as some mages need to use them such as myself but Alchemy? Why do you need to start learning Alchemy right now?" Violet asked trying to understand why.

"Well one of my special skills requires me to know both before I'm able to use it." Even though he didn't say it everyone there knew he was also interested in learning them.

"Oh.. really I've never heard of a summoner ability requiring to know Alchemy... Hmm well you're in luck as you'll have more than enough opportunities to learn." Violet wasn't bothered too much about this, and even started to list of places he could go too for materials and knowledge.

"We should arrive at Dragon City by tonight, after we get there I'll arrange for a place for you both till school starts. But luckily for my wallet you can enter the school three days before it starts to settle in your new accommodations." Violet looked a little pained upon the thought of spending her money.

She has and will always be a cheapskate when it comes down to it, even though she loves wasting money on useless stuff. She never pay for anyone but her self without feeling pain.

So Michael was a little surprised that she was paying for a place for them too stay.

Seeing his look of suprise she punched him on-top of his head, causing stream to rise with the bump on his head.

"What's with that stupid look..." She was kinda pissed as she knew why he had that look.. "I would never waste my hard earned money on you, dad will be paying for it."

"Why did you hit me?" Michael sulked in pain looking pitiful with tears in his eyes.

"Oh grow up." Violet rolled her eyes not caring at all, Victor on the other hand didn't care as this was normal between the two.

Soon they arrived at Spring City, and Victor knew immediately why it named such.

As even though it was starting to get dark you could see lakes and waterways reflecting the setting sun's glow through out the city.

It truly was a beautiful sight to gaze upon, as the white stone buildings glowed with the setting sun, with the streets glowing under the light of magic street lights.

The city was spilt into sections by two internal walls, each around 50 metres tall with towers every 50 metres with defences for both air and ground attackers.

The main wall was just like the inside walls but only more defended with both more guards and slightly taller towers.

Around the city was a huge amount of farm land with water flowing through it from the city.

The City was spilt into a living area which took the most area and was filled with all sorts of houses, which were much better than Flora City weather that be in size, quality or utility.

The next area was a large scale market area full of shops, from food, weapons or entertainment everything you needed could be found here.

Of course it was further spilt into areas for different services.

The next was the adventures area which was separated from the rest of the city as it had the most traffic in and out of the city, as not only adventures entered here but so did merchants.

By seperating this area it made the city far safer from potential crime, as it was also the only way to enter and exit the city bar the military.

The last areas were for government, the military and industry. Overall the city had everything it needed and more.

They flew down and landed outside of the city as they didn't have a pass to fly into the city.
