Chapter 26 - 25 - New Spells & Abilities

[ Congratulations for Defeating the Dungeon Slime Cave ]

[ *Boss* Metal Slime (Lvl 15) Killed + 500 XP ]

"That damned thing finally died." Michael complained as he kicked the dead Boss only to hurt his own foot on its hard body.

"AH YOU MOTHER-FRICKER!" Michael jumped around on one foot while holding the other as the Boss's body disappeared leaving behind loot.

"Tsk why do you do stupid stuff?" Victor asked with a weird face as he watch Michael hop around like a complete idiot.

Taking his attention away from Michael, Victor checked the loot only to be disappointed once more.

After finding themselves back in this Dungeon they both decided to continue running it in order to level up, collect Souls and loot as well as testing their new skills.

"Come on we'll do one more before we have to go back home." Victor said grabbing the loot before throwing his last thing of food he had packed at Michael.

Michael immediately stopped being dramatic as he unwrapped the sandwich and took a bite before following Victor through the portal.

On the otherside there was a large amount of people still around the Dungeon either resting, selling things from small stalls or are waiting for something or to get back into the dungeon or for something else.

Although Victor didn't pay any attention to any of these people that didn't mean that no one was not paying attention to them.

"Hey it's those two again." A women wearing a set of thief gear pointed over to Victor and Michael.

"Huh how many times is it now?" A man in heavy plate armor asked as he looked over as well.

"That's the 7th time." A female Archer answered as she played with a dagger.

"Hey they're going back in!" The thief said as she watched Victor and Michael immediately enter the dungeon again without any rest.

"How can they enter the dungeon so quickly?" She asked the female Archer while placing her finger on her lip with questioning eyes.

"Simple they have either a reset scroll or a artifact to get rid of the cooldown on the dungeon." The last member of the group a mage answered as he watched the dungeon with deep eyes.

"Wait that exists? Then why haven't I heard of it or better why don't we have one?" The female thief's face immediately changed as she grabbed the poor knight and started aggressively shaking him by pulling and pushing him.

"Ok enough." The Mage seeing her get out of hand stopped her before answering her question.

"If I could get one I would but they are not only super expensive but you need connections to get a glimpse at one. So not only do we not have the funds to spare we don't even know where to buy one." He answered as he sat back down.

"So your saying they have one? How could they even get one?" The knight asked as he fixed his armor.

"Well it's simple either they're rich or have rich friends." The Mage said as if it was obvious.

This wasn't the only group to have noticed this as more and more people learned about this either through others or rumors.

And this didn't go unnoticed by Victor and Michael, and for this reason this was their last run.

Walking forwards Victor's summons appeared but this time there wasn't just skeletons and a skeleton Wolf.

This time there was a single small undead rat as well.

The little guy was small about 20cm long, looking down at it you could see it looked nearly the same as any normal rat, well if you could ignore the rotting flesh and white lifeless eyes...

But at least it didn't smell like rotten flesh, infact it didn't have any smell...

In fact in order to create this little guy Victor and Michael in between dungeon runs went into the the forest looking for a wild rat.

After finding one and killing it Victor turned it into this little disgusting guy.

Although it has almost completely no combat ability it is his first actual undead summon, which actually made Victor happy.

Ordering his summons to do the tried and true strategy Victor and Michael moved forwards quickly killing Slimes.

= Darkness Bullet =

Victor casted one of his new class skills killing a poor Slime with a black ball of magic that disintegrated the spot it hit.

After coming out of the trial both Victor and Michael added a bunch of new abilities to their ability pool.

Among these new abilities Victor added three new summons, two of which he can't use yet. On the other hand he added two new attack class spells and three debuff class abilities.

Michael on the other hand got three new defense, two attack class abilities. But want made a large stupid smile to appear on his face was the last two abilities he got from two Special Skill Books.

Seeing Michael's two new abilities Victor couldn't help but feel a little jealous especially when he saw that he couldn't use the two abilities he got from his.

Both of his last two Summons he can't use yet have requirements that he hasn't meet, which is no difference from not having it in the first place.

Not focusing on this anymore Victor changed his focus back to the enemies in front of him.

= Bone Fang =

A short bone rod with a sharp pointy end shoot out from his hand flying straight towards a slime in front of him.

It went straight through the poor Slime's core killing it before it even realized what happened.

"Ha that's nothing check this out!" Michael yelled as he ran forwards towards another Slime before ramming the poor Slime with his shield.

= Shield Slam =

The poor Slime literally exploded on contact with the shield.

Shield Slam was one of his new attack skills and ever since Michael got it, he couldn't help but use it whenever he got the chance.

"Now that's a proper attack!" Michael cheered, smiling happily as he lovingly showed off his brand new shield.

After exiting the Trial Michael and Victor obtained a whole new set of matching equipment, improving their strength and self protection.

This combined with their new skills made leveling and clearing this Dungeon a breeze for them.

If they were to fight themselves from before completing the Trial, well it wouldn't be much of a fight instead they would easily win.

Because not only did they have more control, attack and defensive abilities but their new equipment added more protection and quality.

Which couldn't easily be made up through strategy as now both Victor and Michael have more versatility, allowing them to adapt to more strategies and situations.

And you would think having a small amount of mastered skills would be stronger than someone with a large amount but not many mastered.

And you would be correct in your assumption but this only really is for when working in a team for a certain role or by yourself.

But in fact having more is generally more needed especially with the huge amount of large scale battles that take place, where hundreds to thousands of people fight.

And in battlefields like these having more adaptability or one more ability might mean the differences between life and death.

But even so it is always a must especially for a physical class to have a set of main abilities that they can rely on and that they've mastered.

Magic classes on the other hand is decided by what type of class they have for example dedicated healers need a powerful healing ability and also need to have a wide array of different support skills to cleanse poison, diseases, curses and other effects.

But a Ice Mage only needs to focus on Ice Spells which is mainly control or attack spells.

But in Victor's eye's it is extremely important to have the ability to adapt to anything especially when it's just him and Michael right now.
