We sat in silence as we finished exchanging information, all of us trying to fit the pieces in our mind. Luc sat next to me on the couch as Azger sat on the floor, one of their plush pillows underneath them. There was a heavy feeling in the air as we contemplated and I couldn't help my sigh. We had so much information, so many pieces of the puzzle, and yet we still couldn't see the full picture it formed.
"Hmmm," the heir apparent waved their hand over the ornate coffee table, and I watched as blood red magic swirled over the surface. A few different statuettes appeared on the surface, and Azger quickly began to adjust their position on the table. "So many pieces and yet things simply refuse to come together."
"That's an understatement," I breathed, leaning forward to see what they were doing. "What's on your mind?"
