While waiting for the magistrate and the councilman to come out, inside the carriage, the councilwoman nursed her wound, wiping off any blood stain that she saw, while Luther stood guard outside.
A short moment later, a light tap sounded on the door of the carriage, and the coachman hurried there and asked, "Lady Philippa, is there anything you want me to do?" without opening the door.
She hummed in response. "Make sure there is no trail of my blood left behind. And get me some salt." Philippa ordered, and he was quick to oblige.
Once he had left, the councilwoman breathed out. Her facial expression remained calm, but there was something else running through her mind.
