Belle gave a small, unsure smile to Olivia before turning to the two councilmembers, as she felt curious about what her aunt would say.
"It went well. Councilman Louis must have already reported our findings to the council head." Philippa let him know, and he only nodded. Philippa was more than glad that he didn't inquire more; she didn't want to be the person who would report the case.
The vampiress, who was not in the least interested in hearing about politics, had her eyes dulled, and her forced smile faltered for a moment.
Olivia frowned at Belle, already feeling dislike towards her, as she recalled the assumption her dear friend had presented her 'What if the vampire had found someone while she was away.'
Belle was served a plate of cake. And to say she was enjoying it was an understatement.
