Serenity's POV
While my dad was talking with the doctor and Ares was outside on the phone, I was lost in my thoughts when, suddenly, the room began to swim and the scenery around me changed.
I went from being in my hospital room to being in a damp dark area, made out of some kind of grey stones that had soft green algae growing on it and was filled with what looked like cells that smelled of rot. I looked worse then it smelled but that could have just been because of the low lighting in the area.
I looked around trying to figure out where I was and how I possibly got here when I noticed a familiar figure chained up to a wall of one of the cell-like rooms and realized that this must be a vision. They was obviously beaten to the brink of passing out and I couldn't see their face, because they was looking down.
"Look up," I thought, hoping to calm my fears that I know this person, when a maniacal laugh came from behind me making me jump.
"You still won't tell me anything? I was told you was the weakest of your sisters, but I can guarantee that if either of your sisters was in your spot they would have already told me what I want to know. Maybe, I should kidnap that heartless one next?" a male voice said following the laughter. I quickly spun around to see who was threatening my family and my mouth hung open at the man who was now standing in front of me.
The man looked like he was sane, but obviously was not. He had piercing green eyes and could easily pass as a direct descendant of Hecate with his pitch black hair. In truth, the only flaw to his fair complexion was the jagged scar that ran down the left side of his face and neck but it completed the bad boy look he had going on, with the rose tattoo on the right side of his neck and completely pierced left ear. Especially, since he was wearing a black leather jacket.
The figure chained up looked up and spat blood at the man while glaring at him. That's when I finally noticed that who was chained up was my older sister, Val.
"You think me finding my mate makes me weak? It didn't make me weak just like it didn't make Serenity weak. We will never help you Joshua. You will die before you take down the kings of the realms, even if I have to die to make sure of it," Val growled.
The man laughed again, "No, mate, it didn't make you weak. Just stupid," he spat out, venomously, before a pain bloomed from my chest and a scream tore from my throat.
