Ares POV
As we walked in with the guards, it was like everyone in the room was holding their breath, knowing something was up because Grim rarely, if ever, involved his guards with anything, much less a meeting of the kings.
"Good evening, lords, and welcome back to the meeting," Grim started as if he was talking to a bunch of friends and not about ti arrest one of them. One in which happens to be the mate of one of his daughters. "As I was saying earlier, I know all of you know that my late wife was a witch and have heard the rumors that, like their mother before them, all of my daughters are gifted."
"You know we don't listen to rumors Grim, my friend," Soren, the leader of the Dark Night coven of witches, said while the others began mumbling both approvals and disapprovals until Grim cleared his throat and rose his hand to signal everyone to listen.
"The rumors are true," he said once they all calmed down, "All four of my daughters are gifted and that is part of why we are here."
He signaled to Serenity who then stood up and looked around to everyone and nodded before saying, "I am Serenity, the one you all know as the emotionless princess. I was gifted with glimpses of the future and it is one of these visions that prompted us to call you all here." As she continued to speak about her vision, I tuned her out and focused on watching the crowd.
