As I settled onto the bed, exhaustion washing over me, I couldn't help but notice Jayden struggling to find a comfortable position on the small couch. His tall frame seemed out of place on the compact piece of furniture, and I couldn't bear the thought of him spending the night in such discomfort.
Torn between wanting to offer him a better sleeping arrangement and respecting his boundaries, I hesitated. However, my conscience urged me to do the right thing, to ensure his comfort and well-being. I couldn't let him suffer needlessly.
Pushing aside my initial reservations, I mustered the courage to leave the bed and approach Jayden. I tapped him gently, whispering so as not to disturb little Gabrielle, who was still peacefully asleep in my arms. "Jayden," I murmured, "come sleep on the bed. It's more spacious and comfortable."
