Chapter 11 - Future Direction

The war of the Grandline was endless.

At the entrance of Weiss City, two figures slowly advanced. Countless enemy kingdom soldiers lay at their feet. "Monster! Monster!" Hundreds of soldiers at the city gate raised their weapons and retreated.

Although they had the absolute advantage in numbers, they were already scared out of their wits and didn't dare to go forward. If not for the general in the rear stopping them, they might have already abandoned their armor and fled. "Bastard! Does the GF legion send the two of you?"

Behind the soldiers, the general of Weiss City trembled as he roared. He had never expected two people to trounce the army. He was so proud of it. Seeing the two monsters still approaching him, his heart trembled even more.

"Hahaha! The GF army? That has already become history!" Barett was dressed in a black military uniform. His burly figure propped up the entire army uniform. His long golden hair was casually scattered behind his back. He wore black gloves because of the fresh blood that was slightly black and red.

He looked at the general of Weiss City, who was hiding behind him, and laughed disdainfully. Locke slowly took a step forward and pulled out his sword. A purple halo covered the blade. "Alright, there's no need to say any more nonsense. Raymond."

General Raymond looked at Locke and Barett with an ugly expression. "Bastards! Do you think you can take me down? I still have two thousand soldiers! Kill them for me!" Raymond roared angrily and commanded his soldiers to charge at Locke and Barett.

Seeing the dense crowd rushing out of the city gate, Barett laughed and clenched his fists. Then, he stepped forward and stomped on the ground. "Hahaha! Good! Let me show you how ridiculous numbers are in front of absolute strength! Fusion!"

"Buzz -"

A red and black light flashed, and the entire earth began to tremble. All the soil and stones casually thrown on the ground flew toward Barett in the black and red area. In a moment, a beast that was tens of meters tall, entirely black, and covered in guns, swords, and weapons appeared, standing between the heavens and earth.

An invisible wild aura instantly swept across the entire battlefield like a hurricane. Looking at the beast emitting a terrifying aura, the soldiers surrounding it were immediately terrified. They stopped running and looked at the beast in horror.

"Hahaha! Come on!" The dark beast let out the hysterical laughter of Barrett, and then its vast palm directly slapped the soldiers below.

"Rumble!"

"Ah"

The entire earth trembled as the giant palm slammed down, creating a massive explosion. Countless soldiers were sent flying by the shock wave, flying into the air before crashing into the ground.

Those soldiers who did not have time to dodge were turned into a pile of meat paste. "Damn it! This is simply like an evil ghost!" It was unknown which soldier heard a low roar because of his extreme despair.

Raymond looked at those soldiers who were like evil ghosts, constantly slaughtering his soldiers. He felt an inexplicable fear in his heart. Damn it! No, I have to stop him! Let all the soldiers drag that monster. As a general, I can't die here!

Raymond thought in his heart. Then, he called his soldiers to surround and kill him. Seeing that the soldiers were trying to stop him, but it was just because Barett didn't care, Raymond quickly rushed to the city gate and ran into the city. He ordered the remaining soldiers to close the city gate promptly.

Phew, no, this place is not safe. I have to run away quickly and go to the headquarters barracks. There are fifty thousand soldiers there. We can kill those two damn bastards! After taking a few breaths, Raymond quickly made a decision and prepared to escape alone. As for the soldiers and civilians who stayed here, he would not care.

The lives of mere soldiers and civilians were not as important as the lives of a general. "Hey! You guys block the city gates for me. Don't let anyone in! Otherwise, I will break your heads." Raymond warned a dozen soldiers at the city gate with an unfriendly expression.

Then, he quickly ran to the city gate of the north. Seeing Raymond run away, the soldiers were filled with despair. "Damn it! That damn Raymond abandoned us and ran away!" One of the soldiers said hatefully.

"Hmph, I don't want to stay and wait for death. Those two monsters, the army of five thousand, were easily defeated and slaughtered by them. A dozen of us is not enough for them to kill."

"Yes, that's right!"

"Let's run too. As for Raymond, who cares about him?"

"That's right. However, before we escape, we can still take away the wealth of those lowly commoners. I have been a soldier for so many years and protected them for so long. I can't do it for nothing!"

"That's right, that's right. I have taken a fancy to the daughter of the dessert shop owner for a long time. A few days ago, I went to propose marriage, but she refused. Damn it! However, the two monsters, Locke Barrett and Barrett, will kill them. It is better to let me have a good time before I die!"

The soldiers continuously poured out their evil thoughts. The soldiers who should have protected ordinary people would eventually become demons. Outside the city gate, Locke, sitting quietly on a stone, heard the words of the soldiers, and his expression immediately became extremely cold.

Thanks to his naturally strong insight, Locke was constantly paying attention to the entire battlefield and paying particular attention to the movements of General Raymond.

"What a bunch of incorrigible bastards. Sure enough, this country is impossible to save."

Locke's expression became cold, and he sighed with such emotion. It was not only because he heard the words of the soldiers but also because he "saw" the civilians in the city. To escape, they abandoned their family and children and robbed the property of their wealthy neighbors.

The entire city was in chaos and was filled with smoke. This scene continued to occur in the towns that Locke and Barett had broken through during this period. And those cities were wholly turned into the dust of history under Locke's attack.

"Originally, I was looking forward to this country, but in the end, I was too naive." Locke slowly got up and pulled out the long sword at his waist. "Since there is no hope, it will be destroyed."

Swoosh

Buzz!

Locke waved the sword in his hand, making a sword dance, and then sheathed it. The purple halo quickly flew into the sky, deep into the clouds.

"Buzz!"

A few seconds later, three small meteorites, accompanied by the high temperature of the air, quickly smashed toward the city. The terrifying temperature directly dyed the entire sky red.

The loud noise quickly attracted everyone's attention. They all stopped what they were busy with and looked up at the sky.

"Ah!"

They all opened their mouths wide and looked at the sky dyed red and the meteorites getting closer and closer in shock.

"What is that"

"Boom!"

"BOOM!"

The entire world was filled with white light. The vast sound waves resounded, and the shock waves destroyed everything they touched. A few minutes later, the world returned to normal. Three bottomless pits were left where Weiss City was initially located.

All the soldiers surrounding Locke and Barett had disappeared. The entire world was left with only the dark beast standing on the ground and Locke, protected by the purple light barrier. "Alright, Barett. Weiss City has been taken care of. Only Brother Di and Laffitte City are left." Locke said to Barett and turned to leave.

When the black beast heard Locke's words, it quickly fell off and turned into soil and stone again. The weapons covering its body fell to the ground. Barett looked at the ruins before him and couldn't help but sigh. Locke's ability was terrifying.

"Compared to that guy's destructive power, my ability is pitifully weak. However, if a man I acknowledge doesn't have this kind of strength, then I can't say for sure! Hahahaha." Barett laughed as he followed Locke. "Cough, damn it. Those are evil spirits and beasts!"

Under the ruins, a burly man with explosive muscles, two horns on his head, and sharp teeth climbed up shakily. He slapped away the dust on his body, spat out a mouthful of blood, and muttered in a low voice.
