Giavanna was putting on her shoes when she overheard the lady's conversation from her room.
She peeped down from the first floor just when Venita was waving her finger at Stacy's face.
"I hope that wasn't Stacy you spoke to like that?" Giavanna asked as she climbed down the stairs.
Venita hastened to the foot of the stairs and waited for Giavanna to reach there.
Her goal was clear and that was to get Giavanna's sympathy and thereby gain the upper hand.
"Madam Giavanna, I heard your cell phone dinged and I was trying to bring it to you upstairs when Stacy accused me of trying to unlock the phone. What the hell does she think of me?" Venita lied without batting an eyelid.
Maybe Venita's defensive attitude would have worked on someone else but definitely not Giavanna.
"And was that the reason you spoke to her in that manner?" Giavanna retorted, her angry gaze fixed on Venita's face.
