"I'm guessing you've made up your mind then" Abelia said, making sure her hurt isn't evident in her voice
"Truthfully, I didn't make it up until now" Logan said, he's eyes looking from her lips to her eyes, unable to focus on a particular feature and Abelia saw his eyes movement and got a little confused
"Okay?" she voiced her confusion and finally Logan's eyes settled on hers as he cautioned himself to focus and keep his head straight
"It might sound absurd but there are different choices for you to choose from" he said, maintaining authority in his voice, hoping his message would be passed successfully "and mind you, you have to make your choice fast, there's no time, I have to leave this vicinity before rain falls" he said anf his mind went back to Arthur and Elias
The moment Elias gave him the layout on how he'll make his way to this place, he left them with his horse with the plan to meet at the other side of the road, the one quite far from Daemon's pack
"What choices do I have?" Abelia asked, aiming to get the whole thing over with as he suggested
"Okay, first choice is to accept my rejection and I'll find a pack you can join, without hitch" Logan said, looking into his mate's eyes for any reaction and he got none which piqued his curiosity "sounds good right?" he asked with a slight tilt of his head but still got no reaction
Abelia was patiently waiting for what the next choice would be but she admitted to herself that the first choice is fair enough, after all she'll get to finally be a pack wolf but it still wasn't good enough for her
She wanted more than being a pack wolf
"What is the other choice?" she asked with a stern voice as she waited for what he has to say next
She also couldn't deny the attraction she felt to him even though they were both giving each other stern looks
"Second choice is me forcing you into rejection without you getting anything from it" he said with so much seriousness that Abelia almost shivered but instead of showing the effect his words had on her, she scoffed
"I'm guessing it's a 'do this the easy way or the hard way' thing" she said and Logan bit his lip before shrugging in response
An action that sent Abelia's stomach turning with want
'It's either him or nothing' she made a solemn promise to herself
A promise she didn't know why she made it but she was willing to stand by it
"In all honesty, I would love to know what you want to do to force me to reject you or accept your rejection" she said as she changed her countenance to taunting
She looked at him with her eyebrows up and her eyes boring into his without blinking
The look sent shivers down Logan's spine and he got confused wondering if the shiver was because of how intimidating she looked or because of how sexy she looked
It took all that was in him to not act on the sexual urges that was in him and instead of telling her what he wanted to do, he told her the third choice
"Or you might want to follow me to my pack, be my little toy, while we keep the fact that you're my mate between us till you get tired of the entire thing and succumb to rejection"
The words were rude and demeaning, but somehow it managed to sound so sexy that she felt a pool beneath her
"What?" she breathed and that was all she could say as she was still dumbfounded by the effect that the words and his voice just had on her
"The ball is in your court, remember, there's no time for long thoughts and I'm sure you had a reason for packing a back to this meet up" he said tilting his head towards the bag Abelia had hung on her back
She wanted to defend herself. She really wanted to but there was nothing she could say because he was right, there was a reason, and that was to get away from the camp and survive, no matter what
"By little toy, what do you mean?" Abelia asked genuinely curious and the question brought a smirk to Logan's face as he assessed the look on her face
Innocence, one so pure he terribly wanted to taint it
"Would you like me to tell you or you'll prefer to find out yourself?" Logan said as he closed the gap between them, leaving very little breathing space
He knew he wasn't being himself, he knew how he gets when he's wolf is mixed with him and he could tell this moment was one of them and he truly wouldn't blame the Alpha, after all, the Moon Goddess blessed them with a woman so alluring that just a look from her tests their patience
Abelia liked the sound of finding out herself, she also liked the way his scent flooded her sense when he moved closer to her and she could feel a stir in Maya's consciousness, but she decided to block her out.
She felt if she didn't, she would lose control of herself and act unlike herself
"Are we going to pass the iron mesh to the pack or you'll take me through the main entrance? How are we going to keep it a secret?" Abelia questioned and Logan realized she had a misconception
"Wait a moment" he said with a little smile on his face "do you think this is my pack?" he asked while reading every reaction on Abelia's face
"Isn't it?" she asked with raised eyebrows as if he was asking her a very dumb question, if he isn't the Alpha of this pack then which pack is he leading?
"No it isn't" he replied almost laughing at the oblivious expression on her face
"What do you mean?" Abelia asked, completely confused as to what her mate was talking about
"I'm here for business, this isn't my pack" he cleared and Abelia's eyes bulged
"Really?" she asked as she understood what Logan said
"Yes, my pack is far from here"
'That changes everything then' she thought as she thought about her situation thoroughly
'If this isn't his pack, then that means I'll be going far away from here which is good for me, but the camp... the camp!' she thought as realization hit her
She won't be able to save them, they'll have to save themselves while she prays for them
