Chereads / Supreme Sin Emperor / Chapter 23 - Meeting the Drow Queen

Chapter 23 - Meeting the Drow Queen

After giving the orcs a proper beating, Rene turned towards the opposite trees from were he appeared.

"You can come out now or do I need to invite you."

After a couple moments of silence several people revealed themselves.

"I see... drows"

Drows were a sub-race of elves usually recognized by their white hair and Red, lavender, blue, purple, amber eyes depending on their clan. Pointed ears, slim but athletic build, beautiful, affinity to darkness, able to enter fully aware sleep state.

Drows also known as dark elves, are dark-skinned sub-race of elves that predominantly lived in the dark. They were hated and feared due to their cruelty, though some non-evil and an even smaller number of good drow exist.

In all the world of the drow, there is no more important word. It is the calling of their—of our—religion, the incessant pulling of hungering heartstrings. Ambition overrides good sense and compassion is thrown away in its face, all in the name of power. Their only redeeming factor was their loyalty to their master chosen by free will and with their heart.

Comparison of heights; from left to right: a human, sun elf, wood elf, moon elf, drow, and wild elf.

In many ways, the drow resembled other elves. Their bodies were wiry and athletic, while their faces were chiseled and attractive, though they were shorter and thinner than other elven sub-races. Due to a process of selective breeding that lasted for several generations, the drow (especially nobles) looked attractive even in comparison to other elven subraces.Though their alluring appearance could be used for seduction, it was more often utilized to instill fear.

This particular tribe of drows were the family of Azaroth's shadow who remained loyal to him though it all.

They were the first group he was going to meet to ask for their allegiance.

Rene looked at the knocked out Orcs around him before turning to the drows and saying.

"Take me to your queen."

"Big dreams from a human" The drow who seemed like the leader of the team said.

"Let be clear here, I'm not asking, I am ordering you to take me to your queen" Rene said before adding with a creepy smile "Unless of course you want to join our orc friends on the ground."

The group gulped audibly as they looked at the bodies on the ground, although they were not dead, the orcs were beaten so badly that it would be a miracle if they survived.

Nobody wants to be in such situation were they couldn't even put up a fight.

Rene reached his destination with no real danger.

Drow's sanctuary was simply named as such because Primus city was once the land of this clan of drows, and they believed that once their lord return they would definitely be granted a place in his kingdom because of their undying loyalty.

They had started building their home on those trees from thousands of years ago after they left Primus city simply as a temporary shelter.

Although it's unknown to most people just why the drows left their original home, the fact of the matter is that the drows were still a powerful force no matter where they were placed.

Over the many, many years, drow sanctuary became one of the forest cities within the Primus forest.

It is the economic center of an area extending hundreds, even thousands of kilometers, encompassing countless tribes within the forest. Thus, it is also the strongest faction within that area.

Rene couldn't wait to get into the city and get this over with.

However, two drow soldiers stopped them at the gate.

"Stop right there!"

"Who are you?"

Rene was befuddled, "Why do you ask such question?"

Although any city would be usually guarded this was just ridiculous since he came with the scout.

One of the scout went forward and had a hushed whispers with the guard before they were finally let in.

Rene walked around down the streets.

Everything around him was completely new to him.

The structures here were elegantly designed, and the streets were all tidy and clean. It was also quite environmentally conscious as well, as expected of the works of drows.

Since it was created purely by wood It gave off a very exotic feel to it.

Although Rene really wanted to look around to get a feel of the place but he wasn't here to just play tourist.

Besides he couldn't just leave the drow scouts alone and walk around.

Rene activated his detection skill and his expression didn't change a bit from what he felt.

Just from what he felt everyone of them was at least peak rank one except children of course.

Everyone that passed by their group stared at him like he was a zoo animal.

They eventually reached the palace at least what they called one, without any incident.

The leader of the scout turned to him and said "Please wait here let me inform my lady about your arrival"

He turned to walk in when he froze and realized a problem... he didn't ask for a name.

He turned back to Rene and asked as respectful as possible. "please sir how should I introduce you"

Rene smiled a little and said "Just tell her Azaroth is here"

All of the people in the area froze before turning to him.

They all drew their weapons but the leader of the scout stop them in time.

"Please follow me." he said before walking into the house.

"please know that if what you just said was a lie, you will die a very painful death"

The leader turned to Rene before opening the door that lead from the hall way into a poor but nice looking imitation of Azaroth throne room.

Several people stood on both side of a middle aged looking woman and next to her stood a young woman.

Rene scanned the hall looking at each of their status. He didn't bother to catch the name of the people who stood around but they were all at peak of rank three.

[Name: Ashley

Race: Elf

Bloodline: Royal dark elf

Rank: peak rank 3

Attack power: pseudo rank 4

Affinities: darkness (3)]

[Name: Lolth

Race: Elf

Bloodline: Shadow Sovereign elf

Rank: early rank 2

Attack power: late rank 2

Talent: shadow movement

Affinities: darkness (2), Shadow (2)]

The middle aged woman was named Ashley while the girl who was definitely her daughter was named Lolth.

His thoughts process was interrupted when the scout leader spoke up.

"My lady this man said he is Lord Azaroth"

All the people sighed softly when they heard this.

One of the elders just turned to the Scout leader "Why did you bother to bring him here just kill him."

The others nodded in agreement but before the scout leader, Ashley spoke up.

"We can't be in a hurry we just have to ask a simple question to know if he is the real one" she turned to Rene "What did Lord Azaroth give to Lady Delilah before sending her off."

A look of confusion appeared on Rene's face as he looked around. In the memories he got Azaroth didn't give her anything before he sent her away.

"What?" Rene asked in utter astonishment.

"He hasn't even heard of the legend but decided to come here to lie." one of the Elders said in disgust.

Rene looked around in confusion and said "I don't remember giving anything to Del besides what legend are you talking about"

The elders began laughing and before another could criticize Rene the queen stood from her chair and approach Rene.

"You have one last chance to think about the answer again"

'Looks like that bastard Azaroth did me dirty this time he won't even die in peace.'

Just for context it is very easy to delete memories.

As Rene was preparing for a confrontation Ashley and her daughter Lolth dropped on her knees and bowed

"We greet the dark lord"
