Chapter 28 - Eulise's first battle II

The second group of Goblin they found had less than 50 Goblins, and just like the first time, the Archers launched their arrows, injuring and killing a few Goblins, before the Shield bearers rushed up with the Infantry right behind them.

Just like before, Eulise repeated his actions of killing the goblin warrior before leaving the rest of the fight to his soilders.

He had already launched his axe when dealing with the first Goblin group's warrior, so he would stop in the next battle and see if his soilders could take care of enemies of higher rank in a group battle.

The Shield bearers and Infantry battled with the Goblins while maintaining orderly ranks, with the archers freely shooting from behind them.

At this moment, one of the Goblins rushed out of the fray and raised its saber as it howled, charging towards Eulise.

Eulise looked at the goblin confused at first before realizing that there was a reason why they were called one of the most stupid race.

Like seriously who runs towards someone who could easily kill the strongest person in your team when even you yourself can't.

Eulise tilted his head, easily evading the goblin's attack. It cackled as it mocked Eulise, slicing at Eulise's waist with its saber.

Eulise looked at the goblin calmly although to the ordinary eyes the goblin was moving at a very fast speed but to Eulise it looked like it was crawling.

Once the sabre came close to him, Eulise simply grabbed it with his hands before grabbing the goblin's neck with his other hand.

He lifted the goblin up before turning it face towards the sabre it tried to use to cut him. The goblin tried to struggle as hard as possible but couldn't break free no matter how hard it tried.

"I don't know whether to call you brave or stupid for charging at me without using whatever brain you have" Eulise mocked "well see what I will do to you" he said while focusing the goblins head in the direction of the sabre before snapping it like a twig before melting it.

The goblin's eyes widen in terror as it finally realized what he had done. Eulise smiled in satisfaction before throwing the molten iron of the sabre on the floor.

Eulise lifted his other hand and placed it above the position of the goblin's heart. At first the goblin was confused until it felt a sharp pain. It looked down at his chest only to see a sharp claw penetrating his chest slowly.

The goblin tried to struggle harder but to no avail. Eulise kept pushing his claws deeper into it body until it reached the goblins rib cage.

Instead of stabbing through it, he just melt the bones with is fire. The goblin shouted with so much pain but it sounded like music to his ear.

Facing such good entertainment, his heart wildly thumped with excitement.

However, he did not fail to monitor his surroundings while enjoying himself and took a step back before suddenly leaping towards another Goblin that tried to sneak up on him and stabbing towards it with his claw previously holding the goblin's neck.

The Goblin howled in pain and raised the saber in its hands. It was about to slash down when Eulise claws pierced through both hearts simultaneously killing them instantly.

Warm blood covered Eulise's body, and the Goblins' corpse slowly fell to the ground.

(He did not fully transform to a werewolf, he simply turned his hands to claws if you get what I mean)

By now, the battle between the groups had also concluded. Bak, one of the team leaders killed the final Goblin and suddenly turned to see Eulise covered in blood. He was given a great fright, and quickly hurried over and asked worriedly, "General, are you alright?"

Eulise simply smiled and nodded in affirmation.

Seeing this, Bak let out a sigh of relief.

"Ask around to see if anyone was injured!" Eulise said.

Bak nodded and looked at everyone before answering, "General, no one was injured greatly."

Eulise let out a breath and looked up at the sky. It was nearly midday, so they would not be able to catch up to the third and fourth groups. As such, he decided to lay in wait and ambush the third group when they came back..

Time gradually passed, and soon, the third group of Goblins returned with a few wolves, 10 or so wild rabbits, and a 200-kilogram wild boar – a bountiful journey.

Eulise and his soldiers were hidden in the grass, waiting for an opportunity.

The Goblin Warrior swaggering at the head of the group suddenly sneezed, attracting many of the Goblin Soldiers' attention. It was then that Eulise gave the signal to attack.

Arrows flew towards the Goblins, piercing them and causing quite a commotion. A few Goblins were instantly killed, and others were heavily injured.

Unlike before Eulise didn't make a move to kill the goblin warrior, he simply waited in place to see how the situation would play out and maybe help if the soilders got in trouble.

With the experience that they had gained from the previous two battles and adding on the fact that it was an ambush, this battle was much shorter than the previous two battles.

Barely anyone was injured, even with the goblin warrior presence, of course, this was also partially due to the Goblins' weariness and the injuries they already had from hunting.

After resting for a bit, Eulise led his soilders to where another group of Goblins would probably pass through while returning from hunting.

It was a pity that all the other goblin groups had already reached the Goblin Village, making Eulise feel quite disappointed. If they could have destroyed more of the goblin soilders, the Goblin village would have been easier to raid.

By now, they had killed nearly 600 Goblins, and the Goblin village sensed that something was wrong. They had no idea who the enemy was or how many enemies there were, so they could only nervously stand guard.

Many Goblins were standing on the outer perimeter of the village, attentively looking around. Whenever they detected anything, they immediately rushed up and surrounded it.

Eulise and his soldiers came quite close to the Goblin village, and he had a look at the tight security. He muttered, "Let go back to the camp, I doubt there would be any other group left"

The Goblin village seemed to have been greatly weakened, but Eulise did not plan to attack.

He wasn't in a rush because the Goblins went out to hunt every day to make sure they had enough food.

As such, once they ate all of their food, they would definitely come out. Compared to directly attacking, ambushing was easier and went much more smoothly.

Moreover, Eulise did not want to make any sacrifices. .

The sky gradually darkened, and after leaving a few people to keep watch, Eulise and the others brought back the spoils from the battles with the Goblins.

There were several wild rabbits, a few wolves, and some wild boars. Even though wolf meat didn't taste very good, it was better than nothing.

Eulise turned to his second in command, Emma to recieve news.
