Swing! Clash!
A fierce battle on the highest mountain of Nethoria. Rei knew she couldn't win but she knew she couldn't back out too. This wasn't just a normal battle between a mere human and a God.
"You! Impressive. But the battle has come to an end." the god said, aiming the Spear of Rays at her.
In the blink of an eye, Rei felt a massive heat piercing through her heart. She could feel all her strength were sucked by that heat she felt.
Rei couldn't help but cry as she was falling from the sky. After all she had been through, she still couldn't beat the only God that she had to kill.
"So this is the end?" a familiar voice said, in a gentle pitch.
Rei want to know whose voice it is but she just didn't have anymore strength to open her eyes.
" Relax your body." The voice continued. " You have chosen your way of living this life. Now is my way."
Rei didn't understand a single word but she could feel her body shrinking. The wind running on her face become mild. She thought it's almost time to hit the ground.
But she felt her feet slam on the floor instead. A lot of sounds rushed into her ears.
Rei slowly lifted her eyelids, beams of light pushed into her eyes and blocked her vision. She couldn't believe this miracle.
She was standing in the middle of the front entrance of the Academy of Potence. Her tears busted out, she couldn't even care her surrounding.
Other students stared at her and murmured.
She ran to the headmaster room but she got interrupted by the guards.
"Show me your id or you shall not pass!" A guard said, with a fierce look on Rei.
Rei didn't have an id as this was her first day at the Academy. She just needed to see the headmaster.
"Hey, what's your reason for being here?" Another guard continued, both of them got ready in their fighting poses. Rei couldn't avoid the fight now.
"Hey, what's up with the fuss? Oh Rei, come in." The headmaster come and take Rei. "And you two, take some times off."
Rei just couldn't take her eyes off at Merlin, with tears in her eyes. Merlin was the only one that stand with her when the other students and teachers bullied her unique skills.
"Rei! You must be wondering how I knew you" Merlin started the conversation. "When you came from the future, correct?"
Rei replied with a quick nod, with a blazing pair of eyes.
"You're the only one who have travel past." Merlin kept talking, brewing some coffee. "But this is not your first time."
A big silence emerged between Merlin and Rei. "What? How?" Rei asked but Merlin just keep on brewing coffee.
Merlin took a sip of coffee, and said " Do you know who my master is? "
" The one I'm talking to" Merlin continued, " But not the current one."
Rei was struggling with what Merlin just said in her mind, in silence. Merlin giggled and handed Rei coffee.
"Come on. Relax. Deep thoughts don't suit you." Merlin laughed and said. "Now that you have come , so this is your second timeline. hummmm?"
Merlin delayed for a second and continued, " Ok, I will appoint you as an Advance Elemental Teacher."
"Wha~ What?" Rei shouted in surprised, looking at Merlin speechlessly.
Rei was 13 at the moment. Letting a 13 years old kid to teach Advance Elemental Class could only be a joke.
Rei looked at Merlin , but Merlin looked serious. Then Rei realized that he just looked like a 13 years old but she had already lived once.
Days had passed. The other teachers didn't accept the decision on letting Rei teaches the Advance class.
"Mr.Merlin. I have trust your decision from every aspect but this time, letting a 13 years old girl teaches the 13 years' class is ridiculous, don't you think?" One of the unsatisfied teachers argued.
"If this kid can teaches, where are we to use?" Another one said.
Rei walked toward them and said " Well, I can't argue why you're against this but"
She stopped talking and looked at each's eyes, full of jealousy.
"I can't let my opportunity. So how about a challenge?" Rei spoke with confident, "In front of every students from every academic years. How's that?"
For a moment, all the teachers thoughts in silence. They were confident in their skills and they were jealous about giving a 13 years old kid a place in teaching with them. However they can't disbelieve that this is Merlin, the headmaster's order.
They knew Merlin won't make stupid decision. They are having a hard time deciding whether to take this challenge or not.
They believed they could win but just a little doubt's shaking that belief.
If they win, they won't get a good name for beating up a kid. On the other hand, losing to a kid won't be good too.
"Difficult to decide?" Rei mocked, with a grin on the face.
That hurt their pride so bad that all the 7 teachers accepted to duel with Rei in front of the students.
Little do they know, Rei had already beat them in her last timeline. And additionally, they didn't know what Rei's skills are, when Rei knew every skills they can use.
The day of the challenge arrived, and the whole school was buzzing with excitement. Students from every academic year gathered in the courtyard, waiting to see the outcome of the challenge.
Rei stood in the center of the courtyard, facing the seven teachers who stood across from her. The teachers looked confident, but Rei knew better than to underestimate them.
"Are you ready, Rei?" Merlin asked, standing beside her.
Rei nodded. "I am ready. Let's do this."
The first teacher was the first academic Elemental Teacher. He was known for siding with Royal Students and ignored the students being bullied.
"Mr Nami, Before we start the duel, let me ask you a question?" Rei talked as she carefully reading Mr Nami's moves. "Where did you hide that girl?"
Mr Nami stood motionlessly in fear after hearing this. The audiences wouldn't dare make a noise.
"What? What nonsense is this?" Mr Nami panicked, his heartbeat rate became rapid.
"Relax." Rei closed her eyes, breathed in a load of air. She breathed out and whispered in a quiet pitch so no one could here, "You didn't do in this timeline but it doesn't mean you didn't do it."
"Ice Art: Icy Spear bathe!" Rei shouted in anger as she use this skill.
Mr Nami felt massive spears of ice falling from above him. Mr Nami, with a grin on his face , thought, "What an idiot. Does she really think using a spell like this will defeat me? She even shout out loud for me. Pfff."
But that grin, Mr.Nami had didn't last long.
Because Rei used an additional spell that no one's notified. Rei made everyone think she used only one spell just by shouting the spell name.
Right after she shouted her spell, Rei whispered "Spatial Art: Hard Elemental Pull" and marked that skill on Mr Nami.
In the flash of a lightning, Mr Nami passed out from being crush by massive ice cubes repeatedly.
All the audience were speechless except for Merlin as he already knew the outcome.
The second teacher mocked Mr Nami, "Haha, This is why you don't get a promotion. Just stay at the basic classes. You deserve it."
This one had a name for being a school joker, not a positive one. She once made a boy suicide by making fun of his unsightly visual. Can she make it out alive from Rei?
