"Hello," Alex said breathlessly.
Declan frowned. "Why do you sound so breathless? What are you doing?"
Alex chuckled. "I am doing some exercise inside."
Declan's frown turned to a smile. "I had no idea you had a gym at home."
"I have one of the best gym instructors. Any problem?" Alex asked.
Declan didn't want to disturb him with his activities. "I wanted a drinking buddy, but I can tell you are very busy. I will call Chris."
"Okay," Alex said, hanging up.
His conversation with Chris was somehow similar. Chris was too busy to go drinking with him. It was just him alone. He picked up the bottle of whiskey and placed it on his table. He was going to relax for a day. He wasn't going to think about his problems for now. He swallowed the drink in the cup and sighed. It was no fun when he was drinking alone.
