Declan's plan was simple: go home, lie down, and wake up to a full brainstorming session. He slid into his car and put on some music, which he knew could lift his mood even on a bad day. He wasn't going to give his problem much thought; he would let it be until he found a solution. Maybe the day wouldn't end up badly. He sighed, feeling his inner peace returning until suddenly, a woman ran onto the road, turning his peace into chaos. He immediately halted without thinking, but before he could blink, he saw a figure fly and land on the ground. Paralyzed, he stayed in the car, blinking. He waited for the truck driver to come out and help the woman, but whoever it was fled immediately.
"Fuck! Some people are a waste to humanity," he muttered under his breath.
