It was a cool and serene night in Emerald City, but a man was working diligently, digging. He had already dug up to six feet. "Why didn't the higher-ups force the information out of him since they don't believe him?" grumbled Jason, the man working. The man standing behind him replied, "He is a Guardian, but then his dad is also a bishop of the religious bigot."
"I don't mean torturing him; the higher-ups can just feed him something. Find someone with the ability to search memory. Don't tell me we don't even have them," Jason said. The man in a long coat and hat, named Bill, responded, "We do, but haven't you thought of the possibility of him already getting a hypnotist to hide the memory away? The higher-ups have considered that."
"What is so important about the little boy from the spatial zone? Why must I dig almost the whole backyard?" grumbled Ethan. "Some confidential information," Bill replied. "Confidential information that even I can't know?" questioned Jason. "What do you think I took you for, friend? Hell no, even if we were friends, I can promise you I won't tell you the little I know," Jason said.
"It is way past six feet already. I should have at least seen some human bones if he was really buried," Jason complained, tired of digging. "He was not buried. I bet he was lying to the higher-ups. He needs to be punished," Jason continued. "Idiot, he was buried. The second pit you dug was where he was buried. It's just that he somehow found his way out. It would be great to know if Ethan knew he survived," Bill explained as he turned to leave.
"You knew all this while?" Jason asked. "Of course, I just think it's fun seeing you dig," Bill said, causing Jason to gnash his teeth. "Anyway, we have confirmed that he survived. You should cover up those pits. You wouldn't want the unknowing neighbors to call the police tomorrow," Bill advised, which only made Jason look angrier.
"I wonder if Ethan knows how serious this case is and how much value is placed on the kid," Bill thought to himself as he left, not bothering to look at Jason's dark expression. Back in Cocoyutus, Belle, who had successfully entered the academy as an all-black student by placing fifth on the exam, woke up in his assigned dorm room. Being an all-black student had its advantages; unlike the other students who had to share rooms, they had their own separate rooms.
"I wonder how Elizabeth is doing today," Belle pondered as he brushed his teeth and got ready to familiarize himself with the school. The school had provided a map to all of them and had given them two days to become acquainted with it. To be honest, there wouldn't have been a need for such if the academy wasn't so big; it covered one-quarter of Cocoyutus.
As Belle walked through the halls of the academy, he was amazed by the grandeur and size of the building. The walls were adorned with intricate artwork, and the floors were polished to a high shine. It was clear that no expense had been spared in creating an environment conducive to learning and growth.
He followed the map that had been given to him, carefully navigating the maze-like corridors. Each turn revealed a new hallway, filled with classrooms, study rooms, and common areas where students gathered to socialize. Belle made mental notes of various landmarks to help him remember his way around.
One area that particularly caught Belle's attention was the library. It was vast, with rows upon rows of bookshelves stretching as far as the eye could see. Belle felt a sense of excitement, Elizabeth want him to get knowledge, with how massive the library is he is already picturing studying every single book here and knowing all.
He continued his exploration and found himself in the courtyard. It was a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling academy. Tall trees provided shade, and benches were scattered throughout for students to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Belle took a moment to sit on one of the benches, taking in the serenity of the setting.
The courtyard also served as a venue for various extracurricular activities. Belle noticed a group of students engaged in a friendly game of soccer, their laughter and cheers filling the air. He was intrigued by the sense of camaraderie and teamwork displayed by the players. Perhaps he would join a club or team and find his own place within the academy's community.
Moving on, Belle entered the science wing of the academy. It was a haven for budding scientists and inventors. Glass display cases showcased intricate experiments and prototypes. Belle marveled at the level of creativity and ingenuity on display, abilities seems to have taken science one step further.
One particular exhibit caught his eye. It was a model solar system, complete with rotating planets and twinkling stars. Belle couldn't help but be awestruck by the wonders of the universe and the possibilities that lay beyond. He resolved to delve deeper into the realms of science and explore the mysteries that awaited him.
Next, Belle ventured into the music department. The sound of melodies and harmonies drifted through the air, drawing him closer. The practice rooms were filled with students fine-tuning their skills on various instruments. Belle couldn't help but tap his foot along to the rhythm, the academy seems to be trying it best to preserve all earth old memories.
Feeling a surge of inspiration, Belle tried his hand at playing the piano in one of the empty practice rooms. As his fingers danced across the keys, he he couldn't help bursting out with wide laughter on the off notes he was playing, he knew nothing on music .
After exploring the various departments, Belle found himself in the cafeteria. The aroma of freshly cooked meals greeted him as he entered. The space was bustling with students enjoying their lunches and conversing animatedly with their friends.
Belle joined the queue, eager to sample the culinary delights of the academy. The menu boasted a wide variety of dishes from different cuisines, catering to the diverse student body. As he savored his meal, Belle struck up conversations with his fellow classmates, eager to forge friendships and learn from different perspectives.
With a satisfied stomach and a renewed sense of belonging, Belle continued his tour. He stumbled upon the art studio, where students could unleash their creativity through various forms of artistic expression. Paintings adorned the walls, ranging from vibrant abstract pieces to delicate portraits. Belle felt a sense of wonder as he immersed himself in the colorful world of art.
As the day drew to a close, Belle made his way back to his dorm room. He reflected on his journey of familiarizing himself with the academy's grounds and realized that it was just the beginning. The vastness of the academy and the opportunities it held were both overwhelming and exhilarating.
With each day, Belle would discover something new, challenge himself in different ways, and grow not only academically but also as an individual. The academy was a place where dreams could be nurtured, passions could be ignited, and lifelong friendships could be formed.
As he settled into his bed, Belle felt a sense of anticipation for the adventures that awaited him at the academy. With a heart full of hope and determination, he drifted off to sleep, ready to embrace the journey ahead.
