As Belle woke up the next morning, he felt a bit excited for some unknown reason. Today was the day he would attend his first classes at the academy. He quickly got ready, slipping into his uniform. But then, remembering something, he immediately changed and wore black Gothic styled clothes with a hood covering half of his face. He took out the badge that was clipped on his uniform and clipped it onto his new outfit. "What matters for all Black is the clothes they attend class with being black and the badge," Belle said to himself just to make himself feel right. He really wanted less attention from girls and he thought the first step toward that was hiding his looks that were not helping.
Walking through the halls towards his first class, Belle couldn't help but notice the vibrant energy that filled the air. Students hurriedly made their way to their respective classrooms, eagerly discussing the day ahead. Some were engrossed in deep conversations, others were flipping through textbooks, and a few were laughing and joking with friends.
Entering his classroom, Belle took a moment to observe his new classmates. They came from different backgrounds, each with their own unique stories and aspirations. One thing they had in common was the spirit of competition and the urge to prove superiority. "Not many familiar faces," Belle, who had discovered he only knew Adam and the girl with fishnet gloves during the exam, said to himself as he picked a seat right by the window. He chose it for no other good reason but fast ventilation access.
The first class of the day was Introduction to Abilities. Both Belle and the teacher were rarely disappointed since not much was taught. The teacher assumed that a lot of them should have known the material, and the other students didn't give him a chance to admit that he didn't know by proving their knowledge. "I will just borrow the book from the library and ask for Sir Fenrir's help on what I don't understand," Belle thought to himself, feeling really sad.
After two hours of nothing being taught in the first class, and the teacher just asking questions which the knowledgeable students kept answering, Belle left the class with it being over and moved to his martial arts training class. Unlike the ability teacher, the martial arts teacher actually taught, which Belle really appreciated. Elizabeth had told him to learn, and he wanted to learn it all.
The teacher analyzed martial arts for beginners and gave some basic moves for self-defense. Belle found himself enthralled by the teaching, eager to share his insight. His learning and apprehensive skills were above that of normal people. It was evident that this class would be a space for personal growth and self-expression.
Lunchtime arrived, and Belle decided to skip lunch. He had signed up for a lot of things, so he thought it would be perfectly fine to use the lunch period to check on some activities that actually took place during that time. "Checking the music department after a bit of time," Belle burst out laughing. "I surely don't have a talent in music." With how far he comprehended things, he was sure he should have made improvements, but he couldn't even pick up or understand any musical note. He was just horrible with it.
Leaving the music department, Belle went to the next department he signed up for: science. The teacher, Mr. Thompson, had a contagious enthusiasm, and his experiments did not seem far-fetched to Belle. Belle found himself eagerly taking notes and asking questions, his curiosity piqued by the wonders of the natural world. "Science is exactly like abilities. We can create many more with it. I will put more attention into learning it. Maybe I will find a mixture that can make me vanish or blow up things, mwahahaha," Belle thought to himself, following the teaching.
As the day went on, Belle attended his remaining classes: history and, surprisingly to him, the history teacher was Sir Fenrir. Seeing him, Belle immediately made up his mind to add this class to the ones he had already picked on his permanent list. "You picked history?" Sir Fenrir said with a smile seeing Belle. Actually, his class wasn't that filled up. Only six people were actually attending. "I chose everything, wanted to know those I had talent with," Belle said. "Oh, that is a great way to go. Sit down then," Sir Fenrir said.
As the school day came to an end, Belle gathered his belongings and made his way back to his dorm room. Reflecting on his experiences thus far, "I really just seem like an alien to most things," Belle thought to himself before going to sleep.
Belle spent two weeks trying everything at the academy. He had already made a permanent list of things he would be attending while at the academy. He scratched off the things he didn't see himself having talent in and the things he thought were just stupid. "Dancing is stupid, and anything music-related is just not my talent," Belle laughed out wildly. "I will learn every form of fighting because it seems fun and super cool to me. History is a must, and learning about abilities and the spatial zone is also a must. The little light Sir Fenrir has shown me has made me realize that there is a lot to abilities and the academy." Belle, who had just returned from class, thought to himself as he changed into new clothes.
According to Sir Fenrir, the current Earth should be the playground of some scary entities. One should become something bigger than a chess king to not be their pawn. His theory hinted that abilities might be a way left by the supreme being that created all for human survival. Belle found what he said believable, but he still had many doubts. "I think Sir Fenrir always talks about the most absurd things with me, but most of his ideas have a lot of points to them," Belle thought to himself before going to sleep.
