Shirley was walking towards her hotel when she saw a big top. Shirley said, "Hey, a carnival. Now that looks like fun." Shirley looked around the carnival and saw a bunch of clowns, animals in cages, games, and food stands. Shirley was looking at the tiger when she heard something. Shirley turned around and saw somebody like Kyle from The Campaign Prank Squad. Shirley saw Kyle handing out people balloons. Kyle said, "Step right up and get your free balloons." Shirley said, "Kyle." Shirley walked away and started to wonder why Kyle was giving people balloons. Shirley said, "Kyle's probably just here for fun like me." Shirley gave a dollar to the man at a game booth. The man gave Shirley three baseballs and told her to try to knock down a pyramid of bottles. Shirley threw one baseball at the pyramid and hit it down with one throw. The man at the booth gave Shirley a stuffed panda as her prize. Shirley said, "Thanks."
Shirley walked in the big top to watch the show. When she sat down, Rex sat beside her and put his hand on hers. Shirley said, "Rex, did you come here for the show?" Rex said, "Yep, and watching the show with you will be great." Rex held Shirley's hand as they watched the show. Then the spotlight went on the ringmaster, and he started the show. The ringmaster said, "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Circus Domino. Please enjoy the show." Shirley watched the show and saw both Brad and Scarlet on the trapeze. Shirley said, "Hey, that's Brad and Scarlet from the Campaign Prank Squad. What are they doing here?" Rex said, "What do you mean? They're here to perform, and do you know them?" Shirley said, "Well..." Shirley kept watching the show and saw Brad let go of the trapeze. Then Scarlet jumped off the trapeze, did three flips in the air, put her legs on the trapeze, and caught Brad. Then, they swung to the trapeze's other side and landed on their feet. When their act was over, the audience all clapped for them. Shirley said, "Something weird is happening, but maybe I can hold it off for another week and a half to enjoy my vacation." Rex said, "What do you mean? Circuses are always strange and funny." Brad and Scarlet left the rink, and Scott came into the big top riding a motorcycle. Scott said, "Ladies and gentlemen. For my act, I'll ride this motorcycle up the first ramp, jump over a giant pool of dangerous ocean animals, and ride down the second ramp alive." Shirley said, "Scott. I didn't know he could ride a motorcycle." Rex said, "Do you know him too?" Shirley said, "Well..." Shirley kept watching the show and saw Scott put on his helmet. Then, he rode up the first ramp and stood on his motorcycle without holding the handlebars. Then Scott jumped the pool of ocean animals, rode down the second ramp, and stopped his bike alive. When his act was over, the audience clapped for him. Shirley said, "Maybe I'll get some answers after the show." Rex said, "Why do you want answers?" Shirley said, "Well..." The spotlight went on the lion's cage where Mr. Fletch was doing a Lion Tamers act. Mr. Fletch said, "Back, stay back." Mr. Fletch whipped the lion while holding a chair in his other hand. When his act was over, the audience clapped for him. Shirley said, "Mr. Fletch."
Rex said, "Do you know everyone here?" Shirley said, "I, I think so. Is Sherry Mystery here, too?" Shirley saw Sherry riding a unicycle across the trapeze wire while juggling balls. When her act was over, the audience clapped for her. Shirley said, "This is officially crazy. Why did the villains come here? I thought I had gotten rid of them. Better yet, why are they circus acts? Why aren't they in jail or juvie where they belong?" Rex said, "These aren't villains; they're circus performers. And what do you mean by you got rid of them." Shirley said, "Nothing."
When the show ended, Shirley ran out of the big top before Rex could talk to her. Shirley went into the House of Mirrors to have fun, and Rex went in after her. Shirley looked into one of them and saw that she was a skinny giant. Shirley said, "Maybe I should eat more." Rex looked in another one and saw that he was half the size of a mouse. Rex said, "I didn't know I was so small." Shirley looked in another mirror and saw that she had two giant legs and a flat head. Shirley said, "Maybe I could join the circus too. Shirley The Giant Leg Girl." Shirley and Rex entered The House of Mirrors and found the exit. When they both made it out, Shirley walked by the food stands and saw Connor from The Campaign Prank Squad working at a popcorn stand. Shirley said, "Connor? What's every villain who I've ever faced doing here?" Shirley walked up to Connor. Shirley said, "This may be considered sleuthing, but I must know why all the villains are here." Shirley asked Connor for a bag of popcorn and started to ask him questions. Connor gave Shirley her popcorn and listened to her. Shirley said, "Connor, what are you doing here?" Connor said, "I work here." Shirley said, "Your team, too." Connor said, "What team?" Shirley said, "The Campaign Prank Squad, remember?" Connor said, "I was never in a group called The Campaign Prank Squad." Shirley said, "Yes, you were. You, Kyle, Brad, Scarlet, and Scott became The Campaign Prank Squad to ruin a debate, but I stopped you." Connor said, "Look, girly, I have customers. Maybe I can listen to your made-up stories later."
Shirley left Connor alone and was puzzled by how Connor didn't remember his team or her. Shirley sat down on a bench, upset because she didn't know why Connor didn't believe anything she said. Shirley looked ahead and saw The Campaign Prank Squad, Mr. Fletch, and Sherry walking by her. Shirley said, "Guys, wait." The Campaign Prank Squad, Mr. Fletch, and Sherry ran over Shirley and walked on her. Then Kyle grabbed Shirley's shirt and threw her away in the opposite direction from where they were going. Kyle said, "Now leave us alone." Shirley followed all of them into a blue tent and saw it was dark and empty.
Shirley said, "There's nobody here." A spotlight turned on and shone on a box below a sign that Shirley read. Shirley said, "The Vanishing Box." The box opened, and another spotlight appeared on The Campaign Prank Squad, Sherry, and Mr. Fletch. All of them walked up the stairs and into the box. Once all of them were in the box, it shut and locked. Then Shirley ran up to the chest, picked the lock with her hairpin, opened the box, and saw that nobody was in it. Shirley said, "Where'd they go, and why were they acting like they didn't know me?" Shirley started to think things through and said, "That's the last straw; it looks like I have a mystery to solve."
