"Why do you look like it's your wedding day?" Lucas snorted at Henry who looked at himself again.
Navy blue ironed pants, white straightened long sleeve shirt, brown shiny belt and black loafers.
"What the hell man? Is that how I look, Jhon?" Henry turned to the flattery guy beside Lucas, his hands at akimbo.
"Nah! You look good but not as Lucas exaggerates it to be." Jhon said walking towards the entrance door of Fried Chilis, leaving the other two behind.
"You see?" Henry scoffed at Lucas and walked away.
"Tchh!" Lucas joined them.
As soon as the three handsome young men stepped their feets into the restaurant, the ladies were tripping. They kept staring at them shamelessly, especially the ladies behind the food counter.
"Let's sit here." Lucas said and hurriedly sat on the chair. There were only four chairs availably around that particular table and it was close to the exit door. He didn't want to find it difficult leaving.
"So, what should we order bros?" Henry asked after they sat around the table, pushing the vacant chair away from them.
"Chicken wings." Lucas said and Henry nodded. Henry then glanced at Jhon who just shrugged in acceptance.
"I'll order." Henry said wanting to stand up but Lucas held him back.
"Where're you going?" Lucas asked raising an eyebrow as he held onto Henry whose butt was stuck in mid air.
"Hmmm.. to order of course." Henry irritatedly answered.
"Sit, sit."
"Wh…"
"Excuse me!" Lucas yelled as he raised his hands at Dhruv who was behind the food counter. Thankfully, he saw Lucas and was about rushing to him when Delaney quacked him. Thankfully again, he didn't fall.
Delaney rushed to the table where Lucas, Jhon and Henry were seated.
"How can I help you Sirs?" Delaney happily asked as she bowed to their level or should I say, she showcased her exposed cleavage as she bowed. That was her intention anyway.
Upon seeing what she was aiming at the three friends looked from one to another and shook their heads.
"Can we get chicken wi…" Jhon was about ordering when Lucas held his hand. Lucas looked at Delaney like he was going to bore holes into her soul.
"I didn't call you." Lucas said sternly.
Delaney's smile faded instantly. She tried regaining it but it only made her look horrid. Lucas sighed in disgust. He was a cool guy but was definitely hot in the inside. He was not a quiet person unlike Jhon who many thinks is a talkative but is actually not.
"Good day, welcome to Fried Chilis. I'm Dhruv. Please, is there anything I can do?" Dhruv said saving Delaney some grace.
Delaney stood there embarrassed. People around were staring at her and she felt like disappearing into thin air.
"Oh! Nice to meet you Dhruv. Can we get some peppered chicken wings please." Henry said smiling at him and Dhruv modded.
Knowing she was the one in charge of chicken, Delaney got her courage.
"I serve chicken wings sir." Delaney said proudly while staring at Lucas who speechlessly snorted. He hated this girl but had nothing to say to her now.
"No, you don't." Jhon said to everyone's surprise and Delaney squinted. "She does." Jhon added as he pointed to Michelle who was giving popcorn to a couple.
Michelle noticed eyes on her and turned just to find Delaney, Dhruv and three men staring at her. Out of those men, she recognized one. 'The Chicken Wing guy.' Dhruv gestured her to come which she hesitantly and slowly did.
"Goo… Good day." Michelle greeted.
"You're the girl who sold chicken to me right?" Jhon asked.
"Yes. That wa…."
"Please, we need some. Give us some chicken." Jhon calmly said.
Delaney couldn't stand it anymore, she huffed before leaving. Dhruv and Michelle exchanged words with their eyes and finally he left her.
"em…" she was about explaining the situation when Jhon begged.
"Please, Ma'am." Jhon tactically persuaded her. He knew something was up and it didn't matter who served the chicken but his hate for bitches didn't want him to eat the chicken brought by Delaney.
"O..o..ok." She finally agreed and was about leaving to do what he asked but then Henry stopped her.
"Miss, do you know a certain girl who works here. She likes chocolate ice cream and takes them there." Henry pointed oppositely, towards the Ice cream joint opposite the restaurant.
"How is she?"
"Fair, emm.. brown long wavy hair, brown fine eyes…."
"Carol?"
Michelle already knew who he was referring to after he said the word 'Chocolate.'
"Who?" Henry asked widening his eyes. It was so sad he didn't know her name.
"Well, she no longer works here." Michelle said sadly.
"Really?"
Henry was saddened but didn't want to let it show.
"Yes. She resigned."
"Oh."
Michelle nodded and turned to leave but he stopped her again. "Can I get her address?"
"Huh?"
"Nothing. Thank you, just get us the chicken please." Lucas said as he closed Henry's mouth with his hand.
"O..k.." she left.
"What the hell?" Henry half yelled as he threw Lucas's hand off his face. Jhon just chuckled as he watched them.
"What was that? Do you even know the lady?" Lucas irritatedly asked.
"I was going to if you didn't stop my conversation." Henry snorted.
"Flirt." Lucas cursed.
"Celibate." Henry also cursed making Jhon laugh.

Caroline had prepared her things, she was officially going to be giving her full attention to Christopher at the hospital.
She was currently packing her clothes and some stuffs. She plans on staying at the hospital for two nights. Her phone suddenly rang…
"Who is… Mr Jhon?" She was surprised that he was the caller. 'Did he finally agree on…?' She thought. She immediately picked up and placed the phone to her ear.
"Hello, Caroline right?" She heard his coaxial voice and nodded a yes without answering, like he could see her.
"Ok." He said like he saw her nod in approval. "How have you been?" He asked.
It was a normal everyday question but to her it kind of felt like he was asking out of curiosity.
"I'm… fine." Caroline answered as she smiled.
"Good."
"So, did you consider my offer?" Caroline asked tracing the pattern on one of her shirts.
"What o… oh! Mmmm, not really. I called because I was reminded of you when someone mentioned 'Carol.'"
"Oh!" Not to say she was satisfied with what he said but she wasn't disappointed as well.
"Do you… by chance know an eatery called Fried Chilis?" He asked and Caroline's eyes grew wide. Thankfully, it was a conversation over the phone, be couldn't see her.
"N..no.. not at all." She answered.
"Oh, ok. emm.. one more thing."
"Yes, Mr Jhon?"
"Christopher.. how's he doing?"
"Oh! He's great. I'm on my way to him." Caroline answered with a smile..she was really grateful he asked.
"Ok.. Do that then. Bye.."
"B.." Just as she was about saying goodbye, he ended the call. She sighed happily and started dressing up to leave.
________
"Who did you call, bro?" Henry asked staring at Jhon. "Is it a girl?" He asked in a mocking tone.. he was so sure, Jhon wasn't talking to a girl.
"Yes, it is." Jhon said as he placed his phone into his pocket.
"Pfffff hahahaha… is that supposed to be a joke or something?" Henry mocked, laughing his ass out.
"Where's Lucas? I have somewhere to head to."
"Chill dude. Just cause we drove in your car… shut up." Henry said watching Jhon roll his eyes.
