Kukkiko sighs heavily and plated the table.
A year ago, a great man died. His death is still under investigation but in process it torn this small family apart. She works hard to keep her mother around a little longer. Between the company contracts and additional business trips there just a matter of time
" I don't know what I would do without you, kid! It's a good thing that you have some of your father qualities or I would've kicked you out a long time ago."
" Thank you, mom."
Kukkiko yearns for her mother's love and affection. She's willing to accept any compliment or insult and created it in some form of parental love.
It's that time of year again around the anniversary of her father's death.
The whole year has been hard for both of them.
She didn't want to end up alone.
She masked her feelings in order to not chase her mother away or cause any more suffering.
"Mom…" Kukkiko spoke, breaking the silence.
