Chapter 2 - the new house

In the kingdom, the King was angry because one of his daughters had not fulfilled his wishes, it was something he did not expect to happen, and he wanted answers immediately. That's why he had called Lyra's sister, Rose, who had always been his right hand and helped the King in every way she could. Now she needed to prove that she was still on his side.

"I don't understand why she escaped. She had told me that she was completely willing to fulfill the King's will, but it was all lies. Don't worry, she will pay for what she did," Rose tells the King.

"It hurts my heart to think that she hates me. She didn't even tell me how she felt, but it's okay. We cannot allow her to stay outside the kingdom as if nothing happened. We must show that we are the authority here and that there will be consequences if we are not obeyed," says the King.

"Of course, my lord. The troops are already deployed, so they will soon discover where she is and bring her before you," says Rose benevolently.

"Of course, in the meantime, you will be her replacement. You will marry the prince of the Southern kingdom, and we will enter into harmony, and I will not break my word. Well, I have to go rest, so let me know when Lyra has been found."

"Of course, sir," Rose replied.

Rose was surprised by the news. She didn't want to do her sister's job, and it filled her with resentment. But her loyalty to the King was so strong that she had no other choice but to accept the decision. Now, she would be the kingdom's salvation, and she didn't like it one bit.

On the other hand, while Rose seemed to be the kingdom's savior, Lyra was going to be the one to destroy it. The days had passed in the camp, and she was already settling in with the rebellion. The werewolves were trusting her, and above all, they were understanding what the next step was if they really wanted to defeat the kingdom.

"A lot has happened since this rebellion was created. Before, we were more instinctive and kept our traditions secret. But for decades now, the kingdom has been trying to overthrow and destroy our legacy. So we are the last werewolves left, and we will not be defeated. That's why they don't like this to be a reality!" said a werewolf, who was standing in front of the entire werewolf rebellion, giving a speech.

"It's time to eradicate the kingdom. But first, we need to solve certain problems, including facing our enemies, the vampires. They won't leave us an easy path, so we have to take care of them. There's also the issue of the bridge. I think that's the most important thing to do now," said the man giving the speech, but now in a more disheartening way. It seemed that the problems were not easy to solve.

"What do you mean by the bridge?" Lyra asks Marcus who was standing beside her.

"Well, we need to connect with another part of the forest that is separated by a quite wide river because a being who predicts the future will pass through there. It will help us know our fortune, but for that, it's necessary for him to be able to reach here," Marcus explains.

"Well, that sounds quite interesting, but then what's the problem? Can't you build a traditional wooden bridge?" Lyra asks curiously.

"Well, yes, but this being has feet on fire, if you heard correctly. When he's not still trying to predict the future, his feet burn like the sun. That will cause the bridge to be destroyed instantly, and the oracle will fall to the ground," Marcus explains calmly.

"Wow, that sounds like a powerful being. I never imagined that someone like that existed, but now I understand what the problem is, and above all, I also know what the solution can be," Lyra says determinedly.

"Really? What are you talking about?" Marcus asks, confused.

Lyra took the opportunity when the werewolf was speaking to the other members of the tribe. It was surprising for everyone and even a little rude, but she knew exactly what to say to be heard. She slowly told them about the protective material's position. It was a liquid that was in the castle from where Lyra had escaped, but it would serve to put on the wood, and it would not burn by the flames of the great being that predicted the future. That sounded good, and it was also convenient for the tribe.

"How do you propose to bring it? We can attack the castle, but most likely, we'll lose. Our troops are very few, and we don't have significant ammunition. It would be a total loss," the werewolf who had the floor before Lyra spoke.

"They don't have to do that. I want to support this cause, the kingdom owes me more than I can explain, so I'll do whatever it takes to help you fulfill your mission. So I'll go back to the castle. I'll steal the potion and bring it here, and that will prove that I'm on your side."

All the werewolves were confused by the situation, it wasn't something they expected to hear, but they didn't want to go against it either, so they just accepted Lyra's proposal indifferently, signaling that they didn't care what could happen since they didn't depend on Lyra.

And so, motivated by the tribe's purpose of wanting to bring peace to the forest, Lyra dared to return to the castle to obtain the precious potion. It wouldn't be easy, but surely she wouldn't give up in the face of circumstances. That same day, she left the tribe and went back to the castle. With it in front of her, like she was looking at a tornado, Lyra walked with great determination to face what was to come.
