Chapter 8 - The Battle at Full Moon

Thus, a problem that not only would lead to its end but also would affect the entire pack because they had to deliver the message of peace to the kingdom. As clear as that, the sense of responsibility towards this commitment grew strong enough for one of the warriors to feel stronger.

That was Alexander, he saw that the whole team was completely disintegrating, which would mean defeat, so he was not going to let that happen. Therefore, he draws his sword and grips it with such force that his next move would be devastating.

Not for him, nor for his team, but for the henchman who was coming directly to attack him without prior notice, he was flying through the air with much determination to kill, but Alexander's skill completely ruined all his intentions of wanting to do his wickedness.

He stabs him with the sword in such a way that he wouldn't even be able to show signs of life after having the sword inside, it was a clean and above all, fast kill. After finishing off that henchman, he gets off his horse and cleans his sword, it was time to defend themselves.

"Team! Don't let yourselves be intimidated, we are a pretty strong team so we must not let ourselves be defeated. That would be a complete disgrace!" says Alexander with great tenacity. Everyone heard him, it was as if he marked the beginning of a battle that would not end until one of the two sides ended up on the ground, so from Rogelio and Sparta, to Marcus and Lyra, they felt it was time to end all these monsters that were undoubtedly taking their time.

"I'll go for Lyra, cover me," says Alexander, who starts running at full speed towards where Lyra was. "Don't think you can kill one of us and just get away with it. You'll pay for this," says one of the henchmen.

As Alexander ran, the other henchmen tried to go after him in an attempt to stop him, but it wouldn't be easy to stop one of the most agile and fast warriors in the forest, who also had one of the wildest teams by his side. And those were the werewolves who, in a desperate attempt to try to stop this situation, let themselves be carried away by their killer instinct and slowly began to transform into werewolves.

Marcus began to grow bigger and bigger, his skin was covered with dense and dark fur and his face was transforming, his clothes were tearing apart and his fangs were craving meat to bite, the werewolf was reaching the pinnacle of his transformation and there was no one who could stop him in that state.

The same happened with the other two warriors, there were three werewolves on the battlefield and a considerable number of minions they had to face. Upon seeing that the werewolves were starting to show considerable aggression, the minions swallowed their saliva, because they now had a big problem to deal with.

Marcus couldn't stay calm in that state, he needed to unleash his fury, but as if it were an instinct, he understood who his team was and knew that he couldn't attack the humans on the battlefield, only the small-winged beasts that were coming towards him with considerable speed.

But what these beasts didn't count on was that Marcus was one of the most agile werewolves that existed, so it didn't take him long to achieve victory against these few minions. The way he defeated them was quite fast, leaving them unconscious on the ground.

A flying kick, one or two lethal blows! The werewolves had no mercy against these henchmen who seemed to keep appearing, however, these creatures had plenty of energy so they could keep the battle going all night if they wanted to. "Hey... these animals are fierce, if we keep going like this we won't be able to beat them, we need to come up with a plan," said one henchman to the current henchman captain.

"I don't know, I think it's better to act more calmly, these animals are agile and can smell danger from a distance, but what they don't know is that you can't stop attacks from different directions, so let's go, we must take advantage of the fact that we are more in number, charge!" said the henchman captain. That was just the beginning of an unproductive strategy, as the henchmen began to attack in larger groups, being only three, they couldn't maintain a good flow of blows in the battle, as they started piling up on their backs and suffocating them, more and more kept appearing...

It was as if they kept coming out of the woods, meanwhile Alexander had already reached Lyra. She wasn't doing well, the blow she received was not clean at all, apparently blood kept coming out of her abdomen and she was also lying unconscious on the ground. It was a tight situation for Alexander, who wanted to protect her, but he wasn't going to give up.

Although the number of henchmen was quite large, the situation was even easier than it appeared, as the werewolves refused to give up in the face of this problem. They were on the ground, with many henchmen on top of them, even a warrior, Sparta, seemed to be defeated by the henchmen, he was subdued and t

hey were just laughing at him.

But as the magical full moon complements them and gives them powers that they can't even control, all the henchmen did was to anger them even more and give them even more reasons not to show mercy against them. Marcus, who was subdued, rises with force and sends many henchmen flying! He was furious and with every intention of stopping any danger that presented itself. That feeling of not giving up was spread among the other warriors, making them now... have the advantage.

All the present warriors demonstrated their battle skills, sending many of the minions attacking them flying. The minions were already desperate to see a group of fierce warriors on top of them.

"You can't beat us!" Alexander shouts, and in the background the howls of the werewolves could be heard.

They were in front of the minions who looked at them with fear and anger, knowing that they were about to be defeated by a smaller group than themselves.

"This can't be happening," said a minion with nervousness in his voice. "They're just dogs! They can't humiliate us like this. That's why I won't show any mercy. They'll suffer the consequences of their actions."

The ground starts to shake, the footsteps of some being getting closer and closer, generating uncertainty among the werewolves. They didn't know what was happening, but soon they would realize the big problem they were in.
