They were sitting there waiting for Ella's mom. After 10 minutes, they heard a soft yell, "Ella!" Both looked at the source of the voice. "Mom," says Ella softly. But when Adam saw her mother at first glance, his mind unknowingly clicked, "So, that's how she will look when she gets older?"
But he instantly shakes his head at his own thought. "How are you, sweetie?" her mother asks, kneeling in front of her. But Adam stood up, hurriedly signaling to the elder to sit on the bench. Her mother softly smiles, muttering a small "Thanks," as she sits besides Ella.
"I am fine, Mom. Adam helped me," Ella says, beaming a soft smile at Adam, catching her mother's attention as she switches her gaze towards him.
"Oh, thanks, young man," her mother says, extending her arm as she rubs his lower arm in a thankful gesture.
"It's nothing," Adam says in a soft tone.
"Come home; it's near. Let's have a dinner with us," her mother insists.
"No, no need," Adam retorts.
