Chapter 12 - Episode 11- Systems That Keep Mages Bound by Rules

"Hello, students welcome back to the classroom!" The beautiful teacher, Tina Tobiichi, said looking at the students. "We are going to be training you all in magic. So, get ready to go to the courtyard!"

Everyone got up out of their seats and walked out of the classroom, so they could go to the courtyard to have their class battles. Since these were class battles there was no benefit in winning the battles, so competing like everything is on the line is not required and the students don't even have to participate if they don't want to.

The teacher and all the students left the classroom, leaving two students sitting in the classroom by themselves. One was Shito, who didn't want to walk with the other students in the classroom. The other was Tenka who was waiting for Shito to get up and walk with her to the courtyard. The only person that she really could stand to be around was him since he didn't talk as much as the other students.

Magic battles or what others called 'mock battles' were friendly battles between mages with the option of killing their opponents.

Magic could be used for anything in the world, but the truth of magic is to find the rules of the world. Through wind magic, people could blow away towns and buildings, or lightning that could split the world in half. That was why multiple systems were made for mages to settle their fights because if they didn't, they would do more to destroy the world.

The system was known as the betting system, a system that was created for the winner to enforce their will on the loser, while sometimes the winner would kill their opponent it was a system to give the winner whatever they asked for. Magic Battles were just friendly competitions between mages. The final one was a system that was rarely used in the world, a system where mages kill each other if they feel that they are a threat to them, the system called death battles. Battles were mages fought to the death.

Duels were extremely dangerous, and people sometimes killed people in duels to make sure that didn't reach their full potential. With having power comes great responsibility, and with power comes rewards. Power could grant anything in the world but happiness.

However, these days magic duels were only used in schools because the justice system was formed, stopping the mages in swordsmen from ruthlessly killing each other. Even with the new laws, there were people who didn't want to follow those kinds of rules, so they broke from the control of the government that controls the justice system and formed their own paths to becoming criminals.

Ranks for criminals were separated from ranks S to D, with rank S being the highest rank a criminal could reach.

In the academy's courtyard, with trees gathered with coniferous trees, and standing on a grassy lawn, were the students waiting for the teacher to start the duels.

"Before we start… is there anyone who doesn't want to participate in these duels."

Two students raised their hands. One was Shito, he did not have any reason to fight the other students since he had already beaten the best student in the class. The other student was Tenka because she was the strongest after Shito and she had already fought the students and beat them so there was no reason for her to fight with them.

"...You two may go sit down."

The two students nodded their heads at the teacher, before walking towards the benches that were outside on the grassy fields. The two students sat down watching the other students train with each other. There was nothing else for the two to do but watch each other's students.

"Why did you not want to fight with the other students?"

"Well, that is because I'm stronger than them," Shito said, not taking his eyes off the students who were having fun fighting with each other. There was no reason for them to fight with the other students because they were too powerful.

Well, that is not the only reason that I don't fight with the students. If I fight, I want to be able to use a percentage of my power, right now my power is sealed into seven seals. Limiter that limits me from using all my power. I call it the Seven Seals

The Seven Seals.

The seven seals are limiters that are placed on Shito to lock his power and keep him from getting over five percent of his true power, in addition to keeping some of his abilities sealed deep inside of him. While he could still use the four great elements and particles from the void. His seals sealed most of the other elements he could use, along with most of his powers.

Even with the seals placed on him, the only person who could possibly beat him in a fight with one of his seals released is his older sister. Other than that, no one in the world could match in magic or swordsmanship, so there was no reason for him to use his full power.

Nobody in the world knew of these limitations that were placed on him, even his sister. The knowledge of his limits was something that he kept to himself, a person who kept his power below that of five percent.

Shito felt his consciousness ebbing away, he was a lazy person, and the thing he wanted to do then was sleep. One of the things he did the most was sleep because being awake with nothing to do was boring to him.

Tenka looked at Shito, noticing that he was dozing off, and she knew that he was getting ready to fall asleep.

"Here… come lay down on my lap." Tenka lightly patted her lap, signaling him to come and lay down on her lap. Her face didn't show a hint of embarrassment, she didn't have any ulterior motives.

Laying his head on her lap, Shito just stared up at the beautiful woman's face that was directly above his. He could barely see her face because her breast was too big, but that didn't change the fact that he was staring at him.

Tenka was staring at him, and she leaned closer to his face, and the long hair covered his face. Their eyes were connected staring deeply into one another's.

"You can go to sleep now."

"...Ok."

With that, Shito fell asleep in the lap of the most beautiful girl in their classroom, there was no way he wasn't going to deny the offer of the girl. Tenka's lap was soft and comfortable to sleep on, making it easier to fall asleep.

"...Get some rest," Tenka said, leaning closer to his face. Her face was nearing his forehead, and she quickly kissed him on the forehead before falling asleep herself. They both were getting a little sleepy.

An hour later, Shito woke up, noticing the girl hovering over his face, her sleeping face made her look even more beautiful than she already did. Beauty that made her stand out even if she was in a group full of people. Crimson red hair that was silky smooth.

Now that I get a good look at her she is a beautiful girl. Shito thought. She let me sleep so it would be best for me to let her sleep for right now. We don't really need to be in class because we are already classified as geniuses so what they are touching at the school right now is stuff we already learned. Not because of being geniuses, but because of the arduous work that was put in to give everything a hundred percent.

Shito quickly got up out of the girls' lap, looking around to see how the sky looked. The sun had already risen, so school was already over for the day. There was no point in going to the school because nobody was going to be there waiting for them.

They left us alone without waking us up. They left us on this bench sleeping without a care in the world. What was to happen if we would have gotten kidnapped…... Well, that would not happen since anyone that my body instantly feels is a danger to me, then it would automatically kill the threat.... so let me take this girl back to the dorm.

With those thoughts, Shito picked up the Vermillion princess and held her tightly making sure not to drop her. One of his arms was under Tenka's leg. The other was placed on her back to give it support. Yes, this was the legendary princess carry.

Shito looked around the courtyard, trying to see if there were any people around them. After looking for a couple of seconds, he turned around and started to walk toward the dorm room. The school day had finally ended so they were allowed to go home and rest. He was a gentleman and was not going to leave the girl there because if something happened to her then he would be at fault.
