I huffed as I went back to my room. Christian had told me that he would be back after checking the pack's territory. He had been gone for hours, and I missed him terribly. I felt a strong connection with him. I wanted to be with him, to feel his touch and his kiss, to hear his voice and his heartbeat.
As soon as I got in the room, I found a note on the open window. It said: "Meet me in the forest." There was no name on it, so I thought it might be Shadow, who came to ask me for an update about the werewolves secretly.
I decided to go to the forest at night, but I was careful not to let anyone see me. I didn't want to arouse suspicion or cause trouble. I knew Christian wouldn't approve of me meeting with a vampire, even if he knew about Binnie. He was very protective of me, and he didn't trust anyone outside his pack.
I grabbed a jacket and a flashlight and sneaked out of the house. I ran through the woods.
