PROLOGUE
Alan yelled, his voice shuddering through his mate's heart, "You are mine and nobody else."
"I am not yours! Are you insane?" Eleanor questioned while inspecting him. She was puzzled by the man's bizarre behavior in front of her.
"I am aware that you enjoy dancing, but I make a distinction between the dance you teach and the one I just witnessed you perform." Oh, so this was the reason for the yelling.
She nearly chuckled as she told him, "This little dance is nothing," but she bit her lip when she saw a severe scowl on his face.
"How many dicks do you think didn't get hard from that little dance you did?" He was staring at her with glares that seemed to want to peer into her soul. He wasn't joking; he could smell every hot male in the room, desiring to have her.
"It is all in your head!" She equally shouted, her voice loud as she continued, "I won't stop dancing just because it makes you jealous."
"Oh, you'd do that. And I'm not Jealous either!" Even though he shouted those words, the jealousy that was seething inside of him beckoned him to dispute his words.
"I'm still not over the ruse you pulled on me when you misled me to think you purchased Hermosa. Trust me, if you try anything stupid, that's where I'll draw the line between us." Both of their chests tightened at the mere prospect of being apart.
"Huh! Do you believe getting rid of me is so simple? It would require one of us to pass away because the connection between you and me is too strong- stronger than you think."
"Then quit being a jerk, please!" Her comments caused him to painfully clamp his fingers into his palms.
"You should also stop your sensual dances, I say! We would stop this argument if you agreed your dances seduce men." Eleanor's face became hot with rage at that. The fact that Alan's jealousy grew every day was beyond her comprehension and she knew that this fight would not end anytime soon.
Every time Alan watched her dancing, he felt the possessive trait that every werewolf experienced for his mate.
What kind of dance would she be doing if he wasn't present, too?
Even without dancing attractively, she was enough to draw attention by simply standing there still.
He should now begin remodeling all prisons and dungeons to his comfort because he was certain that he would kill someone one of these days.
CHAPTER ONE
As if ascending all the stairs wasn't enough, Eleanor had to meet the boss with Lolly, who always saw her as a competition.
She would not have left the dressing room so early if she had known their boss had also summoned her to his office.
Eleanor paused behind the door, considering whether to wait for her boss downstairs or inside his office, as the music from the club faded from her ears.
The young dancer nodded her head to the beat as the instrumentals became louder. Her heart was pounding to the beat of the music.
At work, Lolly made her life a living hell. When she saw Eleanor in a black weave, she decided to do the same.
Should Eleanor go blond, her hair would turn blond the next day. When Eleanor braided her hair, Lolly had to walk in with braids sweeping the floor the next day.
And then there was the problem of how she wanted to dress to look like her.
Eleanor peered into the room one last time before closing the door behind her.
After all, she wasn't afraid of Lolly. They were both flawless dancers, each with their signature moves.
Eleanor, on the other hand, had a long history of dancing. As a result, she danced as if it were her final time.
"Take a look at who we have here. Did you have to beg your way in?" Lolly mocked, already rising out of her chair.
How could she have been aware of her presence before seeing her? Eleanor thought as she neared the seat next to her.
She'd be a fool if she didn't ignore her, so she did just that. And this infuriated the other female even more. It was as if she was aware that she was referring to her as a nuisance, which she was.
Eleanor merely gazed at her, her angry expression matching hers. Eleanor then looked down at her and realized she had dressed in blue high-waisted trousers and a grey blouse- which, by the way, was what Eleanor wore the day before.
The only difference was the blouses, yet they both had the same color.
"I'm sure you heard me say hello. So you bribed the boss into taking this job?" Lolly exclaimed, becoming much more enraged than she had been a few moments before.
She stalked at Eleanor, her shoulders shoving her backward.
Okay, forget about ignoring her; one thing Eleanor understood about herself was that she had no tolerance for anything.
"I'm not sure I did. Remember that you've already been sleeping with the boss? Unless you're not fulfilling him as much as you believe you are doing." That appeared to strike a chord with Lolly.
Her muscles tensed, and her blood began to boil.
Their boss rushed inside before she could explode all over Eleanor.
She knew it was a task they were to be asked to undertake because of the way Lolly had asked her if she pleaded her way into it.
And it already sounded like a fantastic opportunity.
"Okay, I know you two aren't friends..."
"Oh, you got that one right," Lolly said quietly, interrupting Alfredo's conversation.
"Yes, you read that correctly. But you two were the only ones who came to mind when they entrusted me with this task. I'll be paying you way too much if you do it right," Eleanor was startled by his serious tone.
"Oh no, it hasn't happened yet, has it? That's not going to happen..." Eleanor swiftly blurted out, her face altering and revealing her fear after he had said those words to them.
"Eleanor, please. You're already a dancer. It's none of my business what happens afterward. It'll be a one-on-one battle between you and them. I'm not familiar with them.
But I'm aware that they're VVIPs," With a smile on his face, he sought to persuade. He jumped out of his chair and sat down at the desk.
Alfredo was a middle-aged man in his thirties. He was a tall, slender man. Alfredo was a little too pale for a young man who spent his whole mornings at the gym and had dark hair. He had several tattoos and piercings on his body.
"For a minute there- I thought we were going to start killing people, considering Lolly being here too," Eleanor only joked, and they all laughed except Lolly, who nearly threw her over the desk.
Well, her eyes and face did tell them that- she
curled her lips into her mouth, her nose flared up as she glared at them with her chin clenched.
"Okay, come on. If you two are going to work together, pretend to love each other at least," the boss advised, looking from Lolly to Eleanor and then smiling, showing them his golden teeth implant. Alfredo was a nice-looking man and someone Eleanor respected.
"Well, I'm not. I can't force myself to do that. Don't force me, Alfredo!" Lolly's voice sounded sure.
Since Alfredo had introduced Eleanor to Hermosa, the club he named after his mother, she believed Lolly had always proclaimed her hatred for her. His mother's name was Beauty, so Hermosa, a Spanish word meaning "beautiful," seemed appropriate for him to name after.
Lolly felt threatened the instant he presented her to the group, and she also believed she could do more than Eleanor would. And that everything Eleanor wore and did, she could wear and do better.
Eleanor, on the other hand, couldn't give a damn what the small girl thought of her.
"I'm sure I can. I'll go to whatever length to obtain a sufficient, "Eleanor spoke calmly to them, her shoulders relaxed.
"I'm still going to tell you to back off on this; I'm capable of handling it. You will have to pay me. I will get the work done," Lolly attempted to bargain by squeezing herself out of her chair and toward their boss—'her lover, as Eleanor would address her' , in an attempt to be the only one completing the job.
"Now that I've piqued your interest, here's the deal: you're supposed to seduce some people that they forget about going home early. You're supposed to keep them here until I order you to leave."
"Is there anything noteworthy? What are their names?" Eleanor let her curiosity get the best of her.
That was the first time he had given them a particular command to perform anything standard at the club.
"How about the rest?" Lolly also spoke in, but her inquiry went unanswered.
"I don't even know who they are. The arrangement got made by one of our VVIPs." As he returned to his chair, he explained, "I don't know who they are, but we'll find out this evening. How about this evening?"
"Wait, why are you telling me this now?" Eleanor shouted, not because she couldn't do it, but because she had promised to return home early the day.
"Well, I just got the news a few minutes ago. When I got the call, Lolly was already there. As a result, I informed her I had a job for her," he stated, his voice becoming more animated with each syllable.
"And here she believed she was the most important person to you," Eleanor chuckled to herself. "She made it appear as if you two had already discussed it."
"Do we have an agreement?" He finally spoke, accompanied by a clap of his hands as he looked from one lady to the next.
"We do!" Both of the females screamed. When Lolly realized they had both reacted with the identical words, she swiftly rolled her eyes at Eleanor.
