I hadn't realized I had dozed off but when I felt a breath grazing my face, I jolted awake.
My eyes were heavy from crying myself to sleep I didn't believe what I was seeing.
Christian was kneeling in front of me while I was blocking the only entrance to the room.
Only then I remembered what had happened. Meeting the pack mates, going out to find him, hearing everything about that girl.
It all came down to me like a blow. Christian's posture shows he was pissed.
'How dare he behave madly when I should be the one to get mad' I thought.
"How did you come in?" Narrowing my eyes, I asked in a weak voice.
He didn't answer, just stared back at me.
I closed my eyes to calm myself before standing and walking inside the bathroom to close myself.
Or at least tried to.
Before I can even get one step away from him, He snatched my hand pulling me back into his hard chest.
I frowned, "Leave me! Get your hands off me!" I demanded. Trying my hard to get away from him.
Instead of leaving me, he wounded his arm around my waist and pulled me closer.
"Stop thrashing, you are not a match for my strength. I will leave you when I am done talking," He asked in a low yet threatening voice.
I halted my attempt altogether. Because he was right. Still, it doesn't stop me from glaring hard at him.
"I know you were there," a simple statement. No excuses, no apologies, no nothing.
I gritted my jaw, "I don't know what you are talking about," I lied because well, I don't know myself why I lied.
Maybe it was because I was too embarrassed to admit I was eavesdropping and got jealous.
He pinched the bridge of his nose with the hand that was not holding me.
"Dea me fecit tibi cadere cum nescis evenire" He muttered.
I arched my brow in confusion. "That was Latin, isn't it? What did you say?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes, "I said you are lying," He lied back.
"That sentence was way too long for me to believe you," I pointed to him.
"Don't change the topic, I know you were there, and whatever you heard was true but~" He started to explain himself while looking into my eyes.
The intense look was hard for me to stare at. "I don't want your explanation, please, I know I am just a breeder. I will be passed to another after I am done for you, So please don't explain yourself to me," I babbled. I even myself don't know what I was talking about.
He growled violently. It was as if someone else took over his soul. "You seem really greedy to jump to another man huh?"
His words crossed the line I had set for my emotional control. I had to blink twice to believe that what I think I heard was actually what I heard.
I slapped him, tears threatening to come out. The impact of my slap seems to bring him out of whatever state he was in.
His grip slightly lose, I used that opportunity to get away from his, straight out of the door.
I heard him calling my name but I didn't care anymore. He has been just insulting me from the first time we met two weeks ago. I can't take this shit anymore~
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice and bumped into a hard chest. Losing my balance, I fell straight on my ass.
"I am so sorry, I didn't see you coming margarita!" Dominic's voice sent relief coursing through me. Calling the nickname he gave me last night.
He is just what I needed right now. I looked up from where I had fallen.
"It is not your fault, I was not watching where I am going," I said to him, accepting his hand to stand up.
Even though my ass hurts like a bitch. It was nothing compared to what I am feeling after my interaction with Christian.
As Dominic helped me stand up. I turned my head to see if Christian is still there.
He wasn't.
'Huh! WHY WILL HE CARE? ONLY I AM STUPID ENOUGH TO FEEL ANYTHING AT ALL!' I blamed myself in my mind.
"You are far more lost than you were last night! What are you stressing about?" Dominic assumed, gazing at my body as if searching for injuries.
'"I am alright, it is just proving much hard to be able to adjust here," I told him the partial truth.
He frowned not trusting my explanation, but he let it go.
"You need shopping, this grandmother outfit hides your curves, " He joked instead.
Which made me smile genuinely. "This dress is not much worse!" I argued playfully.
"Yeah? You're right it's not much bad, it is much much bad," He said taking my hand in his.
I laughed as he took me out of the house. I felt happy again. Yet a constant reminder of Christian lingered in my heart.
'Why he can't be like Dominic? Why he hurts me every time we met?' I questioned myself.
I huffed as I tried to let it go. Dominic noticed.
"Do you have a 'don't go ahead' sign board?" He asked with a puppy face.
I bite my lips to prevent my laugh from escaping, I just know what was coming.
"No, Why?" I said.
He grinned, showing his perfect white teeth. "Because nothing is stopping me on the way to your heart,"
I smiled, without thinking, smacking his head lightly. "That was a poor one!" I said.
He yelled "Ouch! I am feeling dizzy, you hit me hard!" He said playful, acting like a girl.
"Common! Are we not going shopping?" I asked him instead. Laughing at his pouty face.
"I will take my revenge! Note this down!" He threatened with narrowed eyes.
"Shaddap!" was all I said before we got into the car.
My thoughts still occupied a man with golden eyes who hurts me to no end.
