"Here we are," Noel said after arriving in front of a cave filled with Blue Arcane Crystals on the wall. It had been a while since they parted with the people from The East Celestial Academy.
"Is this where The East Celestial Academy students had been?" Henry asked.
"Yes. This is quite a prized training ground as it possesses enormous reserves of Arcane and even sparse signs of Laws which would help you achieve greater power. Go in," Noel said while staying at the door of the cave.
"Are you not coming with us, sir?" Lea asked.
"No. The cave has protection given to it by the Laws since it was once a sacred spot of a sect that was once occupying this area. The cave is pure, hence has the power to repel Abyssals from entering. Consequently, it also prevents anyone who has the power to dry up the Arcane reserves of it from entering," Noel explained which caused Z's eyes to twitch a bit.
After hearing his explanation, Ashe spoke, "I do not think I can enter the Arcane Spring as well."
"Me neither," Z added.
"I understand why Ashe is not entering, but why are you not?" Noel curiously asked.
"Personal reasons," Z conservatively said which caused everyone to look at him in curiosity; however, they did not pry for it would be impolite to do so.
"If that is your choice, then so be it. I need to stay here to protect them in case another group of people arrives, but you can venture and explore the area around. I trust that you two will be safe," Noel said while intently looking at them.
Z and Ashe went away together, and after they created quite a distance, Z spoke, "Are you heading somewhere?" he asked as if knowing the answer already.
Ashe stared at him, a little surprised, before answering, "I can feel a source of great disorder from the east. Did you feel it too?"
"A little."
'How? Is he a cursed human as well? That is impossible, he has Pure Arcane,' Ashe contemplated while looking at Z.
The two traveled without making much of a fuss. They were limiting fighting with other Abyssals as they were uncertain what the great disorder was. They sneakily went to the east while exercising as much caution as possible. Z did not even summon Lumen as her purity would garner much attention.
After getting to the site, they saw a sleeping Abyss Cursed Wyvern. It had violet wings and several thorns behind its back that looked like wood which was emitting a great deal of Cursed Arcane. They could also feel that the Laws around them were in great disorder as Z could barely sense his Truth Law.
Z meaningfully looked at Ashe before glancing back at the crystal the wyvern was holding. It was a Black Arcane Crystal the size of a bus, but the thing that caught Z's attention was the peculiar markings on the Black Arcane Crystal.
'This is definitely a trace of Laws. I can use this to greatly enhance my connection to one of the Laws,' Z thought with greedy eyes.
Ashe looked at Z as if telling him, "It is far too dangerous," but Z merely smiled which caused Ashe to die inside.
'If I communicate with him through Arcane, that wyvern might sense it. Agh, we need to get out here,' Ashe thought as she watched Z's expression which she clearly read as him concocting a devious plan. Her heart stopped a beat after hearing Z spoke out loud.
"Keep everything you will see here a secret," Z said with a soft smile before pulling the white feather and summoning Lumen. Consequently, the sleeping wyvern was perplexed by the sudden change in the atmosphere which caused it to rage.
Pure Land|
Lumen dove to the ground which caused it to explode in purity upon contact. No damage was done, but the Laws around functioned as normal which caused the wyvern to get even more angry. It roared loudly as it glared at Z who was standing there, unconcerned about what was happening.
"We need to run! Maybe Sir Noel can defeat this, but this is far from us!" Ashe panicked; however, all she received as a reply was Z's smile.
Meanwhile, back at the cave, Noel was staring into the distance with a worried expression. He clearly felt the power of the wyvern once it woke up which made him think of Z and Ashe. "Damn it, I hope they are fine," he said while holding his blade. Clearly, he wanted to go look for them, but he cannot leave the other students inside.
The group from The East Celestial Academy was about to cross The Wall of Purity when they felt the power of the wyvern. Incor had a devious smile painted on his face as he said, "It seems like The South Celestial Academy is truly unlucky."
"It is saddening to see their talents fall," Meyer said with a hypocritical face.
Aheli was calmly observing everyone's reaction which made her hurt inside, 'It is sad to see that despite us being one academy, we wish the demise of everyone else,' She thought.
Their laughter continued until Aheli spoke and broke the joyous atmosphere, "They will survive."
"How are you certain?" Incor asked.
"Someone there is too powerful to die in this mediocrity," she said while looking at the source of the commotion.
At the same time, Ashe was staring at Z who was exuding enough purity for her to feel uncomfortable. 'Why is this happening? Although I am a cursed human, I should not be affected by Pure Arcane in a bad way. Was he born to deal with disorders of the world?' she thought.
"As a child, I was raised to combat the Abyssals, hence this power. Although this is not much in a fight against other individuals, it is best for purging disorders like this one. I do not want for this to be known yet, so please keep it a secret," Z explained while floating in the air, covered by the Threads of Laws, staring down at the wyvern.
