'The Divide? Why have I not heard of that before? Is it something that happened recently?' Z thought. 'I need to ask Thea later.'
He was already out of the door when he felt a malicious gaze from a distance. He did not even bother to turn to see who it was as he knew exactly who it was. He joined Anshth and his classmates to get acquainted with other students in the area before ultimately sneaking out in the evening to get to the lake.
The massive lake was massive enough to prevent an ordinary person from seeing the end of it, but from an avian, it was still minuscule when compared to the main academy. He arrived early, but when he got there, Thea was already waiting.
"Sorry, I should have arrived sooner," Z said while walking toward her.
"Do not worry about it. Now, answer me," She said while turning toward Z. She still had her usual calm and distant demeanor, but the lake beside them became tense.
Z, then pulled out a letter from his Spatial Crest. It was engraved with Silver Runes and radiating an aura similar to Thea.
When the latter saw it, her eyes immediately widened in disbelief. 'Why is a human holding the vow of a Primordian!?' she exclaimed in her thoughts. 'They are Silver Runes as well...and they are not repelling him!'
"Who gave that to you?" She asked, causing the lake to create strong tides.
"All I will say is that she was a Primordian as well. She told me to bring it to the Primordian Land in case The World Force turns on me," Z replied. 'Lady Emilia was right. The Primordians do have a strong sense of kinship. Her reaction alone shows how valuable this scroll is,' he thought.
"If that is the case, then I shall no longer pry. Use it when it is necessary," she said before turning to leave.
"Wait... What happened during The Divide?" Z asked after grabbing her arm.
Thea could not help but reveal her shock as she was in utter disbelief that Z just grabbed her. With a storm of Arcane, she immediately broke free from his grasp and gave him a strong glare.
"Are you not aware that you should not touch a Priomordian!? Especially a lady!" She reprimanded, with the look of an exploited person.
'Oh, right,' Z sighed in his thoughts. "Forgive me, Lady Thea. It slipped my mind,' he genuinely said with a slight bow.
Thea was about to ignore his apology when she saw the scroll in his hand which made her swallow her anger and reply, "Seventeen years ago, a great rift happened between The Quintet and The Septet of The Stellar 12 or The World Force. You must know that The Quintet are the rulers of the world. The very government that manages the affairs of The Known World. Meanwhile, The Septet is an invaluable force in the world since it is we either keep The Known World safe from The Unexplored Land or perform some other pivotal role. During that time, The Quintet noticed that The Four-point Defense is rising to power and are getting out of their grasp so they tried their best to suppress us. However, it backfired as we managed to ally ourselves with the Arcane Bank, Grand Archive, and Unchained Guild, thus making The Septet. Since then, The World Force became known as The Stellar 12," she said before flying away.
Z was caught up in his thoughts, analyzing everything she had just said when he heard Thea's voice in his mind.
(Be careful of Kasth.)
'Her too? Now, I do not know if she is just underestimating me. Should I really be worried? Alas, it does not hurt to be careful,' he thought before pulling a silver feather from his Spatial Crest.
"Come, Strix."
A regular-sized owl with pale silver feathers that faded into the night then came out and landed on his shoulders.
(You finally managed to resonate with the Law that Master Silvers used, huh?) he said with a condescending tone.
(I should not have called you.) Z sighed.
(Good. I will go back to sleep.)
(Hang on. I need you to tail someone for me. His name is Kasth, an elf from House Eminence. White hair, eyeglasses, green eyes.)
(Eyeglasses and green eyes?? You want me to stalk a High Elf. Are you insane?) He protested vehemently.
(Come on, you tailed individuals far more sensitive than that before.)
(I do not want to. It takes a lot of effort. It is exhausting.)
(If I die because of this, you have to answer to Miss Silvers.)
(Tsk! I do not understand why I was tasked to babysit you. Ugh.) he protested as he vanished in the shadows of the night.
The night swiftly passed by after Z returned to his dwelling. It was still dawn when everybody gathered at the heart of The Celestial Academy which was a giant mountain with aurora borealis lighting it.
'What a powerful illusion. I did not even notice that there was an inconsistency in the academy when I entered. Who would have thought that there is a mountain this high in the middle of the academy? A place where it is always night,' Z said while marveling at the beauty of the mountain.
"Did you know? It was said that this is the very place where the Celestials were born. That is why it resonates well with them and why there are so many Artifacts and Stelle Beasts that do not leave this mountain," Lea said with a smile full of excitement.
"That sounds ridiculous," Z said with a soft smile as if believing Lea.
"Students, climb the peak of the mountain and your fate will surely change. Take more than you can handle and death will surely come your way. Do not embarrass your factions. Move along!" Arthur said as an unnaturally beautiful sunrise surfaced from the horizon, illuminating the world with its dazzling radiance. However, the night inside the domain did not end.
