Hello one and all, and welcome back to the gates of Enverdolmal!
I hope your Holiday was a happy one, and that your New Year finds you safe, healthy, and ever-vigilant.
Just before 2023 ended, One Last Knight had just reached 9K Readers! A fact that still brings me so much pride and happiness. That is thanks to you and only you. My loyal and loving readers!
At the time of my writing this, I believe the number sits at just over 10.4K!
I could cry you know? That is far beyond what I would have ever thought my stories would ever accomplish. It shows me that there are folks out there who actually enjoy my writing, and that brings me a feeling that I don't have words for.
I can't and will never be able to thank you all enough. For really real.
Maybe one day I will be able to print out a physical copy at a super low price for you all. Maybe that would suffice as a good enough thank you! I would make sure that it came with a detailed world map as well mind you.
Until that day arrives, I will continue to write and post for you all regardless!
A new year has come folks. Take advantage of that blessing.
We only live once that we know of, and I want you all to chase your dreams while you have life within that beautiful shell of yours.
It is never too late to start.
I will see you all back here soon enough.
Here is another chunk of world lore!
Enjoy.

Recap:
Enverdolmal.
Loose translation from: *Een Vir Almal* which means: One for all.
Thousands upon thousands of years in times past, Enverdolmal was a lush and healthy world, yet it was devoid of animal life outside of four great and mighty Dragons.
These were the Living Elements: Water, Wind, Earth, and Thunder.
**Thunder here is the physical manifestation of sound in short. I know Lightning comes before Thunder, and is the Element whereas Thunder comes from Lightning. Nonetheless, this is fiction folks lol. I wont always stick to the Rule of Cool.**
From the sky came the Twin Dragons, a pair of Immortal Elements. From the darkness of space both Fire and Ice made Enverdolmal their new resting place.
These two were Life and Death.
The balance was upset and the world was bathed in Draconic conflict. The six Dragons found peace and truce in the form of a great and all encompassing slumber. An age of Ice and nothingness. One that would see them fade away physically, and become the very Aether that fueled the new world and its rapid growth after the Great Thaw.
With the Great Thaw came new life. New death.
Animals, one and all evolved from countless lineages of Dragon dust and essence.
Fanged. Feathered. Furred. All came to be and evolve from that which was once Dragon.
Humans, born of the need for not only guardians, but caretakers of the new world.
From them, and time, and exposure, came the many varied Humanoid species.
From the Forested-bound folk, the Elf.
From the Mountain-bound, the Dwarf.
And as they grew, and learned, and loved, and hated, and warred, they intermingled and became even more: The Tinker-kin (also referred to at times as the Halfling) the Dwarfym, and the Elfym.
From the need to balance and mayhap even counter the existence and rapid expansions of Humanity, came Monsters. They were born from the most desolate and polluted parts of nature (most of these places came to be that way due to Humanity in one fashion or another) and sought only to kill, to hunt, and to breed.
Among them were the Goblins, the Orcis, the Ordin: A disturbing cross species of Goblin and Orcis, the Troll, the Ogre, and a list of many other cross and subspecies.
War found Enverdolmal as was inevitable.
But then, and always, so-to would peace.
With time and effort, Kingdoms and Queendoms where erected, Boarders were lined, and maps were drawn. The world came to know some semblance of what it is today.
The balance between Light and Dark is in constant flux, but this is in our favor (my good Reader) for how else would such tales come to be?
Welcome one and all, to the ever-evolving world of Enverdolmal.

Kingdom of Zentram.
*Fun fact: Zentram is from "Sentrum" which in turn is Afrikaans for "center"
Current ruler: King Ketrel V.
Regional Elemental Affinity: Thunder, Ice, and Water.
Military Force: Zentram Core Army & the Theodoran Knighthood.
Those who settled in the central region of Enverdolmal came to name it Zentram for that very reason. Besides being the near-center of the world, it is one of the most hostile territories in and by nature as well. Most of its North-eastern end is covered in nearly uninhabitable swamp, the remainder is a mixture of dangerous mountain ranges, wild and wide-open planes, thick swaths of forest, and deep caverns. Everything from the flora to the fauna, and many a varied type of monster that inhabit this kingdom have forged the people of Zentram into some of the toughest and best trained in all of Enverdolmal. Zentram in most famous for the Theodoran Knighthood who hail from its Capital city known as Theodora.
Although King Ketrel V is a strong, bold, brave King, His recent father was most of that as well, yet not nearly as morally just.
Theodora is cursed to suffer attacks from Ware-beast until the end of its days, should they ever come. This is due to an irreversible pact that was made by King Ketrel IV a small handful of years before his untimely death. A pact that seen him consort with Skin-Walker Witches in order to keep alive the reputation and subsequent need for his -at the time- faltering Knighthood.
Ketrel V has delt with the curse for just under half a decade now, and his leadership has greatly assisted in returning some semblance of balance to the shifting and restless Kingdom that his father had left to him. His Knights truly are some of the best in all of Enverdolmal. Their skills are often commissioned by other Kingdoms and Queendoms for missions that require either a diplomatic approach, or a clean and clear show of force. Do not be fooled by the last of those two things. Theodoran Knights only fight when need be, and if words cannot sway the situation. They are duty and honor bound to themselves and each other, but above all else, their King.
Major Exports and points of interest:
-Swamp wood.
-Minerals.
-Animal oils.
-Wood.
-Precious stones.
-Armor & Weapons.
-Theodoran Knighthood stationed and christened here. They are trained in the use of Quarts Core weapons. These require the user to be able to focus and dictate their Aether pool very carefully and with great skill, as the Quarts Core is essentially alive and will consume the Aether of the weapons wielder rapidly if left unchecked. Quarts Cores can convert the Aether that it is feed into pure light at the small cost of a "donation" of Aether from the wielder. This cost is dictated by the wielders loyalty to Theodora.
-The
-Experiences Summer, Fall, and Spring-like seasons. While it can get cold at times, it is never cold enough to be called an official Winter phase, for Zentram only gets natural snow along its Eastern mountain range.
-Snow storms tend to strike the North-Western border from time-to-time due to its proximity to Lustria's forest.
-------------------------
Lorenday, Enfresecca Swamplands.
Mentioned in: "Rough ends, Bitter roots. Part 1."
At the Northern end of the Kingdom of Zentram lay this massive and expansive swampland, and near the center of this swampland is a small, yet well established dorpie known as Lorenday. The Unari people and their Dragonfly-like insectoid mounts have lived in symbiotic harmony for countless generations. They along side their Drakonura have patrolled and protected the Swamp and its myriad of creatures, beast, flora, and even its rare species of monsters. Due to its isolationistic environment, the many and varied species of insects and insectoid tend to grow to astounding and even supernatural sizes. This isolation is not by choice. The swamp around the Unari people, and any else who may inhabit the place is deeply and seemingly irreversibly cursed.
Major Exports and points of interest:
-None: Very few if any humans or humanoids tend enter Enfresecca by their own will.
-Studied from the outside by countless Ecologist, Geologist, and the likes. Not much is known about the swamp that is public record.
-Location of many notable disappearances throughout written history.
-Unknown weather patterns.

Port Oorwinnin, Zentram.
Loose translation from *Oorwinning* Means: Victory.
Several days march East of Theodora, Port Oorwinnin is situated in a small valley that creates an equally small gap in the mountain range that runs the full Eastern edge of Enverdolmal, from the Norther-most tip of Naeri, to the very lowest edge of Zentram. This port is the second largest in Zentram and plays host to many a political guest and CTS (Coastal Trade Ship) in both its "high" and "low" seasons. Being the last stop before a long a dangerous shot North to Naeri, it is heavily retrofitted to allow for not only docking and onloading/offloading, but heavy repairs and modifications as well.
-------------------------
Onkerdoun, A Dwarven fiefdom of the Kingdom of Zentram.
Loose translation from *Onderkant* Means: Bottom.
The Dwarves of Onkerdoun like to refer to themselves and their kin as: The Last Mountain Elite, while most other Humans and Humanoids across Zentram have called them "Suideur Dwarves" or "South Door Dwarves." for as long as written history can tell.
This is due in part to the location of their grand and illustrious Hall, and their station as Zentram's first and most adamant defence against intrusion from the South.
The renowned and respected Clan Doubledoun has lead Onkerdoun for years, having no standing rival Clan to date, nor any who would care to challenge. Clan Doubledoun and Clan Bolderback of Klyptorin (far to the South and West of Onkerdoun) have alternated between being "Cousin Clans" and "Waring Clans" for many generations.
-------------------------
The Great Valley Kraak, Zentram/Lumaleza Border.
Straight translation from *Kraak* Means: Crack.
Mentioned in "Diamonds in the dark. Part 1."
-Excerpt from "Diamonds in the dark. Part 1."
"On the evening of the second day they came again to the edge of the canyon Kraak, and the land bridge that spanned it's massive width, this time approaching from the West. The canyon was nearly thirty miles long in either direction, and half a mile wide."
-----
Some sources say that the Great Valley Kraak has been a part of Enverdolmal for as long as Enverdolmal has existed, Growing with time as rolling winds and the ragging waters below slowly but surely carved away at the land.
Many believe that the immeasurably large canyon was formed when Giants, while battling for territory, drew great and long hooked-chains across the land, tearing it asunder, and forever setting an immovable border.
Others say that it was formed when the Dragons of Fire and Ice fell from the sky in days past beyond counting. Their collision carved up the canyon, its rubble was launched up and away from Enverdolmal, being caught in the worlds orbit, and later becoming the Moon itself.
-Excerpt from "Origin of the world: Enverdolmal. Part 1."
"The pair of colossal Dragons closed in on one another. The force of their impact sent waves of the most purest Aether rippling across space, and in those waves, the world was bathed. Fire and Ice crashed to the planet in a tangle of tails, talons, and fangs.
And the land was gouged. Torn asunder. And the forest burned. And the oceans froze over.
The initial impact had been so fierce that many a large mountain were broken off at their base and hurled up and away, into space. Over time, those mountains would slam together in orbit and solidify into the very moon itself."
